  1. Peter says:

There was a nice poster for WM 35 that echoed the ones for WM 33 and 34 – at the top there were Becky, Charlotte and Ronda’s faces and below them small pictures of all the important wrestlers on the card.

It looked better than this and it would fit with the usual style of WWE DVD covers, which never feature wrestlers’ full bodies, just their faces, upper bodies. That’s probably why this cover feels odd and almost lazy – like WWE didn’t even put any thought into it. It seems they just slapped whatever picture required the least work on the cover and that’s it.

    • RabidHeat says:

You’re absolutely right, and it’s just another indication as to how little they are putting into Home Video anymore. Even for their biggest selling release of the year, they don’t want to pay for their graphics guys to spend an afternoon designing a decent cover, or at least splice a few additions into the poster design.

No way should Balor and Lashley be on there when their 4-minute match was effectively a pee-break match.

I also don’t know why you wouldn’t represent some of the most talked about matches/angles on the event with images on the artwork, such as HHH/Batista, Cena’s appearance, Miz/Shane’s match which far exceeded expectations, Angle’s retirement, the Iiconics’ win. And as LP1 said, in the info listed re: the Raw episode, why wouldn’t you at least mention Undertaker’s return also? But yeah – Balor and Finn are front and centre even no-one gave a crap about it.

  2. Nicolas Hebert says:

What is the release date in Canada for the Wrestlemania 35 Blu-Ray? Nothing is listing yet on Amazon.ca

    • Ghost says:

Order from Amazon.com youll get it right away

      • bubbs says:

But you’ll also pay the exchange which is like 35% or something ridiculous, plus shipping. And there’s also the risk of getting hit with duties as well. Patience is worth a lot more than an extra $30 just to get it on the 14th.

FYI its now the 15th and there’s still no listing on .CA yet.

    • Foley is Good says:

The release date in Canada is May 28, 2019. I would suggest ordering it on Best Buy.ca. I have had better luck with them than Amazon recently. Amazon seems to take forever to mail out items on time even with pre-order.

      • Foley is Good says:

I forgot to add that Wrestlemania 35 is available on BestBuy.ca now for pre-order.

        • Bubbs says:

Maybe a BB Exclusive? Still no release date on Amazon, which is a shame since its usually the lowest on pre-order. Then they tend to jump about $10 on/after release day.

          • Foley is Good says:

Not sure. It is weird that Amazon Canada hasn’t listed it yet though. Ever since WB took over WWE releases it seems to have gone downhill. Like having to wait an extra two weeks to buy it.

  3. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

12 days between the previous article and this “new” one. And before that, there was a gap of 7-8 days. I guess, the writings are on the wall regarding physical releases of wrestling material. 🙁

Anyway..I still hope this great site will be kept alive and breathing in the future despite of lack of interesting releases the recent years, and for every year that lack only seems to increase.

Because occasionally I like to come back and read about the back catalogue and there are great articles and mostly informative comments too, plus, the well done archive overview database of every physical media ever produced and releases.

Let’s hope for some more and some interesting releases released by WWE..and Impact too for that matter, for WDN to report on in the future..and we the collectors to comment on. 🙂

    • DVD fan says:

I would agree, this page is wonderful and maybe it would be beneficial to have more dvd fans do columns to add more content.

  4. andemoine winrow says:

I’ll get the ‘TRISH/LITA’ d.v.d. I wish they would do a ‘CHYNA’ collection of her best matches.

  5. TryingIam says:

Was watching a random Trish/Christian moment the other day (2004?) when they had joined forces, forgot how good she looked. Dayyyum

  6. Robert Emons says:

What’s the freebie in the WrestleMania DVD? A Topps card?

  7. Dvd Fan says:

I think this year’s releases have been lackluster so far. I think the only one I am excited for would be the Andre release. Hope that WWE releases get better. So many better dvds could be released besides Lita/Trish and another John Cena release. Would like more of the 3 dvd documentary match sets of old

    • indyfan says:

I think its safe to say that dvd/bluray releases are going the way of the dinosaur. Outside of ppv releases that is. the Andre set is a WWE release.

  8. RabidHeat says:

I would’ve thought it would make sense to put some more people on the back cover of ‘Mania who didn’t make it onto the front/spine, but no, we get Roman, Ronda, Becky, Charlotte and Kofi again. Whatever. Just feel like the artwork is really lazy this year.

    • LP1 says:

I’m just surprised there’s no mention of The Undertaker anywhere. I thought for sure, with the inclusion of the Raw episode, that Taker would get mentioned. Also it’s the first time in 15 years that he’s not pictured on the front. Although that’s not surprising.

      • RabidHeat says:

Yeah, bit surprised there aren’t photos of Cena,HHH and Batista somewhere too. They usually always get the former/returning main eventers/part-timers on there.
