As we’ve reported on over the past couple of weeks, the next WCW themed DVD that WWE has in the works is Best WCW PPV Matches. That’s coming on March 11th.
We’re hearing that the official title for it right now is “WCW Pay-Per-View Collection“.
Despite the new name and its reference to “collection”, the plan is still for the set to be the standard format of 3 discs on DVD and 2 discs on Blu-ray.

It would be nice if WWEShop let us backorder items not currently in stock. Not all of us are online 24/7 waiting for sale….
Hopefully the shift to WCW PPV Collection means that it’s already planned to be a series. It really makes more sense anyway. They’ve already released a best of Starrcade. This should open the door for the next two 3-DVD sets to be:
-Great American Bash (1985-2000)
-Halloween Havoc (1989-2000)
Outside of releasing the full PPVs which may at this point actually be good sellers (but we know the company doesn’t want to do for their own selfish reasons), this really seems like the only other sensible way to approach the WCW catalog.
That said, if they can put out a 12-DVD set for Raw, I wish they’d consider doing something similar for WCW’s main PPVs (Starrcade (18 DVDs), Great American Bash (14 DVDs), Halloween Havoc (12 DVDs) and SuperBrawl(10 DVDs)), then give the remaining PPVs another 12 DVD set featuring their best moments. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Summerslam and Survivor Series have already received this treatment from the company and the WCW events I listed hold the same or even greater positions in the hearts of WCW fans — currently the biggest segment of the WWE’s buying audience.
Whatever the case, the more WCW (particularly up to June 1994) the better!
I’m actually thinking about watching Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery anybody know where i can find a stream of it? and will it be in theaters?
Theres no stream of it anywhere as it hasn’t been shown yet – it first comes out on March 23 – its a straight to DVD/Blu-ray release. Although I wouldn’t be shock to see it showup on the WWE Network at some point – maybe a week or so later – the weekend of Wrestlemania perhaps? – thats if the WWE Network is here.
Crud, wish I could have seen the future and waited on ordering those DVDs/Blu-Rays that I ordered last week. Would have saved $20 if I ordered them today. Oh well, it wasn’t the first time thats happened to me and it won’t be the last.

Should have been up earlier for this sale! Missed out on the HiaC Anthology for that cheap. Oh well. Still got all the Superstar Collections (minus Zack Ryder which was sold out), TLC 2009, TLC 2011, History of the Intercontinental Championship, and CM Punk – Best In The World. Not a bad little hall of DVDs.

I’m not sure if they did or not. Yesterday, I did a search against Google that gave me a direct link to the Goldberg Blu Ray, and it looked to be priced at 14.99, but wasn’t available to order. It might be they have a very limited number that they could sell during the sale, and quickly ran out.
Looking for the Survivor Series Anthologies on the website and can’t find them. Have they been removed because of the sale?
The sale section had 5 pages not long ago when I wrote the above list including volumes of the SSeries Anthology. Now 4 pages so I guess those were removed and maybe a few other titles too.
I think its because they are selling out, an hour ago there were a few DVDs I was going to order, but when I went back they’d disappeared completely from WWEShop.
I think they set a limit number to be sold during different periods in the day. I noticed this set was “sold out” when they did their “beat the clock” promo, but it came back afterwards for a little while longer.
I think we all know how we want the Scooby Doo movie to end.
