PWInsider.com reports that Best Buy and WWE have come to terms on an exclusivity deal which allows the retailer to sell newly released WWE Blu Ray titles first, for an extended time period, during which no other stores can sell the same WWE Blu Rays.
As seen with the WWE Royal Rumble 2010 Blu Ray in the USA, Best Buy have the exclusive rights to sell the Blu Ray title for an agreed time period before any other store or retailer can. Nationwide the Royal Rumble 2010 Blu Ray release date is May 4th 2010, whilst Best Buy have been selling it since March.
It also appears the Best Buy exclusive WWE Blu Rays may include extra bonus footage not available to other stores, although this not yet confirmed.
In related news an upcoming title rumoured to be named “WWE – Best PPV Matches of 2009/2010” will be available on DVD & Blu Ray, according to Amazon.com. The expected release is late July 2010, but one could speculate Best Buy will offer the Blu Ray version at an earlier date.
