DDP Yoga’s September 2014 newsletter has revealed that Diamond Dallas Page has signed on with WWE to host “The Best of WCW Monday Nitro, Vol. 3“.
That confirms plans to bring back the Nitro WWE DVD/Blu-ray series next year. DDP hosted the first volume of the series back in 2011 and then the second in 2012.
There’s also talk of DDP being interviewed for a separate project very soon. WWE cameras will film Page at his “Accountability Crib” for a legends feature. As of now, this will most likely end up as a future WWE Network special rather than a DDP DVD release.
Joey Styles loosely referenced “ECW Unreleased, Vol. 3” on his Twitter recently, so that looks to be another possibility for a WWE DVD series returning in 2015.

This week Kayfabe Commentaries released “Timeline: The History of ECW – 1998” on DVD and On Demand streaming instantly. The year in Extreme Championship Wrestling is discussed by New Jack with the tagline “The Memories, The Matches, The Mayhem”.

Looking forward to Nitro Volume 3, could care less about ECW.
Would not mind either of them but with Nitro they need to do more from 1999-2001.
But I really want a attitude era vol.3 blu-ray.
I’m excited for a volume 3 of WCW Nitro. I would like to see the following matches on dvd/bluray this time.
• IWGP Championship Match: Jushin Liger vs Juventud Guerrera from 1999.
• Goldberg Promo on Sid Being Next (September 13, 1999)
• Hulk Hogan & Bret Hart vs Sting & Lex Luger (September 13, 1999)
• Scott Hall vs Sid Vicious (U.S. Title – December 1999)
• New Blood Brawls with Sting, Lex Luger & DDP (April 10, 2000)
• Lance Storm vs Sting (2000)
• Booker T vs Goldberg (WCW Championship Match)
• Mike Awesome & Bam Bam Bigelow vs Scott Steiner & Sting (London Lethal Lottery, 2000)
• Booker T vs Scott Steiner vs Mike Awesome (WCW Championship Match, October 2000)
• Kevin Nash vs Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’ Haire (2000)
I can’t believe, the hopefully upcomming ECW release was beaten so clearly by the hopefully upcomming Nitro set.
well.. it does’nt matter what I believe, as long as both get their respectful releases, along with wcw ppv vol. 2, Falls count anyway vol. 2, a ultimate Iron man match compilation and a Shane McMahon complete match compilation.
Bret vs Booker Nitro Feb 1999 finally has to be there.
I’m excited for both.Even as a Network Sub,I’ll never quit buying.Plus still waiting for TNA To finally release some dvds to America. Its been months since they’ve released any dvds.
Good to hear about more volumes of WCW and ECW. I voted for the WCW set, but would love to see both make their return. I’ve really been getting into watching the old Nitro episodes on WWE Network since when they first aired I always watch RAW instead. I actually hope they release some Network shows on DVD next year too.
yessssss.. 2015 gonna be just as great as 2014.. add a second volume of Falls count anyway and Wcw greatest ppv..
but.. I refuse to make a choice between Nitro and Ecw unreleased.. it is inhuman.. just like the “hell” it was to choose back in March mania.. you -BEEP- 😉
I’ve been on the fence about hating/liking New Jack more times than I can count. There are times when he seems educated and wants to share his knowledge of the business and there are other times when he comes off as extremely violent by nature and completely insane. I can’t stand him when he goes off about how he hurt people and they deserved it.
Glad to see more WCW/ECW sets in the future. Those are always welcome!
Very happy about Best Of Nitro Volume 3. Now we need Best Of WCW Thunder
Happy?! There’s a YouTube video in the article… 🙂
WWE have seem to included majority of the good matches from 95-97 Nitro, maybe they might focus more from 99-2001.
I could see getting these after they go on sale, but as a Network subscriber I would not pay full price for matches I could see for my……wait for it………$9.99!
” but as a Network subscriber I would not pay full price for matches I could see for my……wait for it………$9.99!” Taking the network for granted huh? What if they decided to get rid of those matches, when you can own them yourself?
The Network has been around for 7 months and they haven’t removed a single thing. Everything that was there on day 1 is still there and everything that has been added since is still there. I can’t see any reason for them to remove anything. It’s not like have to get rid of old stuff to make room for new stuff. That’s how Classics On Demand worked because of the limited space cable companies allowed them.
yeaaah.. keep paying 9.99 over and over again again and again..for the same to watch..if they do not remove it one day and replace it with only Total Divas and other reality tv crap.. he he he
