It is common knowledge that the “Hit Man” wasn’t particularly fond of his time in World Championship Wrestling, and it’s hard to argue that his run was as prominent as his WWE tenure, but Bret did have a number of great matches and cool moments in WCW. So, next up for NITRO WEEK, let’s lock in a Sharpshooter on “The Very Best of WCW Nitro Vol. 3”.

Any rumours on an Attitude Era Vol 3? I see Vol 2 was one of WWE’s best selling releases last year, I would love a third volume. 2001 needs some love!
2 repeats, no Mysterio matches, so far this one is a bust & not because of no mysterio. they put the people on the set- booker t, hogan, flair, hart, sting….why not put more matches with the likes of la parka, blitzkreig, raven, ddp, bam bam…no excited for this one, no sir!
Good for you, no one is forcing you to buy it.
Last time I checked the idea of having a board/forum is to voice our opinions…
Bret Hart’s run in WCW was a bust. This set so far hasn’t got me as excited as Vol. 2 did. There may be one or two lost gems but for the most part, it’s far from a very best of in terms of the matches revealed so far (especially some of the world title and Sting matches)
GOOD choices. By far the best reveal so far.
For the final reveal, give us Ric Flair day! WHOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Flair vs Sting from 4/12/99. Their best match from the Nitro era.
Hogan vs hart was on Hulk Hogans unreleased collectors dvd.
The only Luger vs Hart match that i remember from nitro in 98 was for the US championship (which luger won) only for bret hart to win it back a few days later on Thunder.
However this doesnt state that its for the US title so im confused
Yes, Bret/Luger is that title bout (the listed date matches the title lineage). Considering the quick turnover of the titles, I can imagine that was reason enough to not promote it as a championship match.
Thanks for the reminder of Hogan’s unreleased collection! I thought the match was also on Bret’s Dungeon collection, or am I wrong?
The first set was my favourite, but I am glad to see them continuing the series so well!
What other sets has included Bret/Hogan? I seem to remember hearing that it would be in one recently, but then it was not (granted, maybe what I heard was speculation in the first place).
Bret vs Booker finally makes the cut. This was a classic!
Bret vs Booker is one if the greatest matches in Nitro history. Bret vs Luger is another hidden gem, it’s Luger best wrestling match in Nitro. This set is shaping to be better than volume 1 & 2.
