  3. Jason says:

I wish the WWE would do dvd/blu ray combo packs like they did with Royal Rumble 11 and Elimination Chamber 11.

I am not a fan of Cena but I know there are people here that are so I thought I post this info for everyone

Another indication wwf scratch logo present no blurs and all mentions of wwf are there 🙂
    Ahhhhh:D

    • Mark D says:

There is quite a few up there, including Vince presenting Arnie with the WWF title on Smackdown (http://www.wwe.com/videos/arnold-schwarzenegger-is-named-the-world-box-office-champion-smackdown-november-26042717), some in the history of the European Title feature and Val Venis/Shamrock from St Vanentines Day Massacre (I recall) plus photos without any blurring. #GetTheFIn 😀

      • WWEATTITUDEERA says:

Shame that the top 50 finishing moves in wwe history dvd will have the logos blurred, but for the brock lesnar, NWO and Attitude era sets should have the logo intact.

        • LP1 says:

Now if only WWE can go back and re-release every DVD over the last 10 years without the blurring and bleeping! lol Seriously though, think about how many DVD’s have been completely ruined by the WWF censoring. It’s such a shame. All the anthologies, all the “best of” sets. It truly is a shame the last 10 years had to happen as far as the censoring goes.

          • Dave says:

The last few years WWE gotten much better in the blurring out the logo…but i highly doubt they will re-release all “best of’s” and compilations unedited. I can see them putting out the Anthologies on Blu-ray. Would definitely double dip on them if released in Blu-ray format.

  7. Mark D says:

Wow, the comments on this post have gotten way off track! Lol

What’s everyone think of the trailer?

    • Daniel Bee says:

To me (and I’m not usually one to take a negative view) the trailer does a good job of ‘covering up’ the fact the Rock/Cena DVD contains little of anything new and unseen. For one, without saying it, they show there won’t be new involvement by The Rock here.

A saving grace is the film footage of the WM28 match – probably the main selling point for me. Not a bad thing to own most of the promos they had in one collection either.

  8. Beerad says:

So let me get this right, the extra content is a best buy exclusive for the DVD only, shouldn’t they at least added it to the best buy blu ray version as well, I know the blu ray version is going to get other extra content regardless but both the DVD and blu ray should have the exclusive not just the DVD, it’s as if WWE wants you to buy both the blu ray and the DVD now to get all the content, it’s mind boggling, DVD sales are down and blu ray is up, yet WWE still puts certain PPV on DVD only for the US which is just plain stupid, it should be available for both formats all over the world

    • WWEATTITUDEERA says:

Couldnt agree with you anymore, despite myself living in the UK and were lucky to get the blu-rays of ppvs here exclusively it should be released both dvd n blu-ray all over the world, Blu-ray has grown so much now that people are even buying 3D TVs and 3D Blu-ray players to watch 3D Movies at home, Not matter where Blu-ray is big market even bigger than DVD,
Movies Company release movies both dvd, blu-rays and digital copy for good price here,
WWE are bullshitting out of there arses saying the sales are not strong enough since the Over the limit 2011 blu-ray hence why they stopped releasing ppvs on blu-ray, over 1 ppv puff, the real reason is because they want to release sets live best ppv matches of the year on dvd and blu-ray so the only way to watch a certain match from a ppv that was on dvd you’d have to get the blu-ray, look at Money in the bank 2011 that was only released on dvd, one of the best ppvs of that year and this century yet only got a dvd release and no blu-ray, imagine it had been released on blu-ray the sales would have blown the roof, trust me it would have been the fastest selling blu-ray of all time around the world, i dont want to get the best ppv matches 2011 blu-ray just to watch Cena vs Punk from MITB 2011 in HD when i have the dvd and the match is on the upcoming CM Punk best in the world blu-ray and mostly all the matches n that blu-ray i have on ppv blu-ray,
      Mind boggling,
End of the day it comes down to money, WWE Want to make money with sets like best ppv matches 2011 and release ppvs that should be released on blu-ray like mitb 2011 yet they choose not to,
WWE need to wake up and smell the bacon, they need to follow the movie industry and release ppvs on blu-ray, with dvd version and digital copy or yet just release it on single blu-ray disc and believe me ppl will start buying it and you wont look back,
Look at the European and UK Blu-ray market, here at silvervision.co.uk the blu-ray ppvs are selling like mad and at all time high, With ppvs like extreme rules 2012, over the limit 2012, money in the bank 2012 available to buy on blu-ray, no1 looks back,
Blu-ray is the way 2 go and is the future!!

      • Mark D says:

Annother point is how is blu-ray suppose to sell well, if only 3 shows a year on it? Maybe if every show was released on BR more people would switch over from DVD.

      • Dave says:

WWE is pretty slow when it comes to format changes. It wasn’t until 2002 when they started to release every ppv on DVD and they still continued to release VHS until 2004.

But i feel majority of WWE fans in North America can’t accept change in technology. Look in the last year people hanging on to their DVDs bitch and moan about Blu-rays getting exclusive they don’t.

People should realize Blu-ray players don’t cost $600 anymore, you can get a great brand new one for about $100 now, maybe even a little less depending on the store.

I feel once North American fans catch on like with UK, WWE will start to pump out all ppvs in Blu-ray format. Until then, we still have to stick with DVDs and the occasional ppvs on Blu-ray.

I hate to stereotype but i see majority of wrestling fans in North America don’t exactly swim in money…they can’t even afford the PPVs on DVD…i doubt they will shell out $5-$8 extra on Blu-ray. I still hear people actually “record” on VHS tapes…in 2012! like come-on! move on with the times.

        • Beerad says:

I agree with you, WWE should go the route movie industry does, make a set that includes the blu ray, DVD, and the digital copy. Blu ray players are cheap now, I recently saw one at best buy for $60, but you make a very valid point WWE has been very slow with the format changes. They are making exclusive content for the DVD only but not the blu ray for the top 50 finishing moves when you pre-order it at best buy, why not both the blu ray and DVD, as always it all comes down to the money, they figure they will sell more DVDs as oppose to blu rays with this move, I plan on buying the blu ray when it gets cheaper, it’s hard to go back to DVD once you experience blu ray

          • Mr Z says:

As a fan from North America, I can’t argue. I’ve been thinking I should make the switch to blu ray, more so for the extra content on them than the picture quality. Slow to change? Finally got a DVD player just in time for Hulk Still Rules in 2002, but I do have a VHS of New Year’s Revolution 2005. lol

  9. WWEATTITUDEERA says:

off topic had to post this:

WWE has officially settled all of their legal proeedings with the World Wildlife Fund, who sued the sports-entertainment promotion in 2000 over the use of the “WWF” initials.

The only detail of the settlement that has been released is that WWE will no longer have to blur out the old “WWF” logo on any videos from their library.

    How awesome is this:)

    • Mark D says:

Very! Watching the Alliance formation and the unveiling of the Higher Power unedited with WWF’s all over the place and in the audio on WWE.com is quite surreal given the past 10 years.

This will be huge for the upcoming Attitude Era set.

      • Daniel Bee says:

Completely agree it feels surreal. Almost like history alerting itself, isn’t it?

      • WWEATTITUDEERA says:

I can wait seriously, never have i been this excited for a dvd to be released before, i wouldnt say im a huge attitude era fan even though i started watching WWE for the first time back in the attitude era and after that i just got hooked, Kane was the wrestlers back then with mask that made me love wrestling, im more fan of old skool wrestling like the bret hart matches and matches from madison square garden, but some of the stuff that could be on the attitude era dvd will be phenomenal, i cant wait to watch the alliance formation in 01 if thats on there, and the matches, iv listed some of the matches that should be included that havent been included on other sets before:

Stone cold Steve Austin vs Undertaker for the WWF Championship –
        Raw is War 31/05/99
Triple H vs Stone Cold Steve Austin –
        Raw is War 17/05/99
Mankind vs Undertaker vs Kane Triple Threat Match –
        Raw 06/07/98
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Ken Shamrock I Quit Match –
        26/10/98
The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin –
        Raw 16/11/98
Undertaker & Big Show vs The Rock & Mankind Buried Alive Tag Team Match –
        Smackdown 09/09/99

        • LP1 says:

WWE.com posted today the TLC Match from SummerSlam 2000 and the WWF attitude logo is shown everywhere in all its glory, including in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Plus you hear JR & King clearly say the letters WWF without being bleeped. This is tremendous.

  10. CaptainCrazy says:

does sliver vision ship to canada

  11. Loose Cannon says:

Yeah i think ppl know HHH/Taker 3 has happened but there just counting the 2 most recent. I dont wanna see a HHH/Taker 4 unless it’s a triple threat with HBK vs HHH vs Taker but even then nothing gets done maybe a great match. but Undertaker needs some new blood move on i say.

    • LP1 says:

I believe the plan for Mania 29 is for Taker to face Brock. That was the talk when Brock returned from day 1.

      • LP1 says:

However if Brock loses to HHH at SummerSlam they might as well forget about Brock vs Taker at Mania. They bring Brock back and he loses twice. That’s money completely flushed down the toilet. The best thing would’ve been for Brock to beat Cena and then have him beat HHH and and keep him as this undefeated monster until he faces Taker at Mania. But I digress.

  12. Loose Cannon says:

Just to comment on there might be a HHH/Taker 3 i don’t think that will happen. if they go down that road it will most likely be a triple threat Undertaker vs HHH vs HBK. But my money is still on we will see Undertaker vs Cena And as for Rock i think it’s gonna be Orton vs Rock as Orton goes back to his Legend Killer gimmick.

    • SRB says:

People need to remember Taker/HHH 3 already did happen… WM 17, WM 27, WM 28

    • RabidHeat says:

      Wouldn’t that actually be Triple H/’Taker 4?

      • SRB says:

My point exactly Rabid. Just because Taker/HHH 1 happened at WM 17 doesnt mean it didnt happen at all.

        • Harry Faversham says:

Its funny how at the time no one would shut up about how great that match was and a few years later no one seems to remember it. I used to think the first one was overrated and also the second one was a bit too. But the 3rd one really had me on the edge of my seat. I’d say that was the best one.

  13. SRB says:

Here’s my view, even thought this feud isn’t that old I think it’s a great thing that they’re releasing it now, but what would drive me nuts is if at WM29 (which I will be at!!!) they do Cena/Rock 2. Now, I hope that doesnt happen, but if you can do HHH/Taker 3 then I guess anything is possible. I like the preview. I know people really liked Punk’s preview, but I’m with this one. Has an old-school feel.

  14. Steve G says:

Is the Best Buy exclusive content exclusive to DVD only much like Clash of the Champions? Or will it be on the Blu Ray as well?

  15. Vincenzzzzzo says:

Looks like they used some of the new interview footage for the commercial….cool. I don’t know about anyone else, but I am actually very excited about this release. Some people didn’t enjoy their year long feud, but I did. And I like having the ENTIRE feud in one package. Great addition to the collection.
