We can now reveal the synopsis for “Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman“.
The new WWE DVD and Blu-ray hits stores on August 5th.
One of the most controversial managers and figures in WCW, ECW and WWE History! For the first time ever, fans get the full story of the life and career of Paul Heyman. From his beginnings as a ringside photographer at MSG, to becoming a manager at WCW, then heading up the infamous ECW, Paul has his own unique brand of over-the-top, in your face entertainment that has developed him a cult-like following. Unfortunately his financial savvy didn’t match his creative genius, and ECW was eventually purchased by WWE.
Since joining WWE, Paul has gone on to great heights, including managing Brock Lesnar, when he finally broke Undertakers WrestleMania Streak this year.
This collection includes great behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, with past and present talent talking about Paul’s contribution to the world of sports-entertainment. Featuring interviews with Raven, Tommy Dreamer, Joey Styles, Mick Foley, Rob Van Dam, Stephanie McMahon and of course the man himself.

Some new information coming out of the official synopsis above is that Raven looks to have been interviewed for the documentary portion of the set.
The winner of our Ultimate Warrior DVD giveaway has been selected. Congratulations to Sebastian Diaz! You’ve been notified at the same email used to enter the giveaway.
Since the Warrior’s untimely passing, this 2-disc version of “The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior” DVD has been selling for as much as $60 here on eBay.com.
The latest WWE DVD to hit stores was “RAW: After The Show”. A slightly updated trailer for the DVD and Blu-ray has been released by WWE, which you can watch below.
The next title incoming is WrestleMania 30 on May 13th, followed up by Greatest Wrestling Factions on May 27th. Both will be released on DVD and Blu-ray formats.
Do we have any idea what the matches on Heyman’s DVD will be?
My guess is matches that he handpicked.
I agree that he’s probably been involved with the DVD production getting it (to a degree) how he wants, so probably some match picks of his own too. Kinda like Punk was involved. The synopsis above is the only thing official out so far.
hope the Hell in a Cell handicap match will be on betw. Ryback -Heyman and Punk.. not the greatest HIAC match, but still better than the 2012 event. And then I do not have to get that ppv for that match, besides have the Orton/Bryan match on best of ppv.
Nobody like Heyman introduces himself and nobody in the history interacts with the live ordiens in a sleazy, “go fu.k yourself” in a polite saying way..and nobdy does better pronouncing of Broooooock Leeeesnaaaar! excited for this release.
Looking at Heyman’s record, these were the matches he was actually involved in:
– Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane & Jim Cornette vs. Jack Victory, Paul E. Dangerously & Randy Rose – Chi-Town Rumble 1989
– vs. Jim Cornette – Tuxedo Match – Great American Bash 1989
– vs. Missy Hyatt – Arm Wrestling Match – Clash of the Champions XIV
– Paul E. Dangerously & Arn Anderson vs. Rick Steiner & Missy Hyatt – Great American Bash 1991
– vs. Madusa – Clash of the Champions XXI
– Lesnar & Heyman vs. Hardys – Judgment Day 2002
– Lesnar & Heyman vs. Edge – Rebellion 2002
– vs. Lesnar – Steel Cage – Smackdown (March 4, 2003)
– vs. Eddie Guerrero – Smackdown (March 2, 2004)
– Heidenreich & Heyman vs. Undertaker – Smackdown (Jan 4, 2005)
– vs. Sabu – Extreme Rules Match – ECW on Syfy (Aug 29, 2006)
– Heyman & Big Show vs. RVD & Hardcore Holly – ECW on Syfy (Oct 30, 2006)
– Heyman & Axel vs. CM Punk – Night of Champions 2013
– Heyman & Ryback vs. CM Skunk – Smackdown (Oct 22, 2013)
– Heyman & Ryback vs. CM Punk – Hell in Cell 2013
Wouldn’t surprise me if most of these are actually included and probably some with him as a manager like Lesnar vs. Taker (WM30) and Lesnar vs. Punk (Summerslam 2013).
Also maybe a match or two where he and JR were focal points on commentary like how the Heenan DVD had the Rumble 92 match mostly because of Heenan and Monsoon.
thanks for great overview, David.. you’re the Best in the World.. your the Best in the World.. 😉
dammed, Heyman had a Steel Gage match against The Beast??? bet he got his ass so much kicked.. unless, of course The Big Show or Angel somehow come to rescue.. Lol hope every segments you listed is present plus all the ultimative best of Pauls mouth-work. 🙂
I’d love to see some Rick Rude on this set!
nice to see, the title made it.. very anxious for this one.. hope the doc will be at the high standard of Rise and Fall of ECW and as creative as the For all Mankind Foley doc.. plus, what match- and promo- and commentary segments will be on there.
Awesome that WWE was willing to interview a ECW star that hasn’t been seen in ages.
