We can now reveal photos of the very first DVD to feature the new WWE logo!
As you can see, the new “Network style” logo replaces all instances of where the “scratch” logo would usually be seen on the packaging, including in the WWE Home Video logo.

The 2-disc DVD set features RAW, Smackdown, Superstars and Main Event televised from the United Kingdom in May, and has a runtime of over 5 hours and 30 minutes!

I wonder what the first DVD with the new logo in the corner will be. With the WWF to WWE change there were DVDs with the WWE logo outside, but WWF logo inside if I remember correctly.
I’m guessing SummerSlam. In advertising and on TV they’re already hyping SummerSlam with the new logo. So that will most likely be the first show to officially use the new logo in the bottom left corner. Both Backlash 2002(April 21) and Insurrextion 2002(May 4) were WWF events, but they were released on DVD after the name change(May 6) so that is why the DVD cover had the WWE logo and the PPVs themselves had the WWF logo in the bottom left corner.
The new logo is fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. The old logo always bothered me. I said this before, It was just a bastardized version of the attitude logo. They should’ve just introduced this new logo back in 2002 instead of trying to live off the attitude era. Much like how the new generation logo was a bastardized version of the 80’s block logo. WWE clearly has no intention of ever going back to the Attitude Era so its better to just move forward with an identity for today’s era.
The new logo is garbage.
@Ray, Everyone has a right to say what they want about the new WWE logo if they want.
LOL at people hating so much at a FREAKING LOGO! No one gives a shit if you’re impressed or not, it’s happening either way.
Doesn’t surprise me, these are the same people that complain about how the cover and disc arts look and wouldn’t purchase sets based on that.
The new logo is awful. It looks like a 5-year old made it. Not impressed at all
And the scratch logo doesn’t look like a 5 year old made it?
