I can’t believe Chris Benoit is on it! :-O 😀
Pre-ordered earlier this week… I personally can’t wait, but I am still going to have to get the blu-ray from the U.K…. My favorite is the Homecoming episode already! 🙂
i really wish i would have put this on my christmas list!!
Nice idea but these kind of packaging always get the discs scratched ,.I mean they did the samething to Friday the 13th and look what happen th
Nice packaging. Definately can’t wait to pick this up. I hope they do a SmackDown set just like this in the future.
This article really highlights why I dislike cardboard packaging so much. The second photo down from the top – the close-up of the silver, outer packaging – shows that the edges are already damaged (probably in transit), and the release has only just come out! Everytime I touch a digipak or attempt to slide it in to a cardboard cover I feel like I’m damaging it. Yes, it allows for superior artwork, but give me an Amaray case any day of the week – it’s sturdy, survives in the post, and does its job of preserving the contents.
I heard many stories from people splitting their Royal Rumble Anthology box in half. I have had mine since it came out and its still intact. Just really depends how people take care of their stuff. I see lot of careless people on Youtube treating their DVDs and Blu-rays quite badly like touching them from bottom when pulling out and tossing them around.
Thats why i avoid second hand DVDs and even Blu-rays like a plague. People just don’t know how to take their of their ****.
I also never lend out my stuff, they just don’t come back the same. I loaned a buddy of mine a Blu-ray and the damn thing came back with scratches all over…how the **** could someone scratch a Blu-ray, they don’t scratch easy unless you really try.
I meant “take care”
I completely agree – I won’t lend anything out and tend not to buy second-hand DVDs either (unless they’re in really good condition), and take extra care when handling the items.
That said, I still end up with minor cardboard ‘nicks’, which can be quite aggravating, and many sets I’ve ordered from the US get their corners crunched (either when being shrink-wrapped or in the mail). Check out the state of the product above – I doubt the owner did that in between receiving the item and taking the photos.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned but I noticed an error on the July 27th 2011 listing, It says Rey Mysterio & The Miz vs. Alex Riley & Jack Swagger, when I’m pretty sure it was Mysterio & Riley vs. Miz & Swagger
Looks highly unlikely this will even get a dvd release here in the UK cause wwedvd.co.uk has not announced anything and they usually do well in advance or at least 2 weeks prior to a release, if thats the case i think a lot of people are going to import this from America to the UK!! If this does get released in the UK and on Blu-ray then this is a WWE Blu-ray to get for the Ages!!
This will be a good set, and I am sure people in the UK will import it. Does anyone know if this will be released in digital format on iTunes?
Looking forward to the DVD, will be ordering it.
Very cool photo layout of this set. Definitely on my radar.
The packaging doesn’t bother me. I own a Laurel & Hardy 10 disc set put out a few years ago and the set was packaged just like this. The discs are fine. They don’t scratch. Fingerprints are the biggest concern. The other end of the spectrum is the Sopranos 2nd generation complete series packaging. Discs get stuck and nicked easily. This is the best way, the way this set is packaged, to do it. Just treat the item with care.
Oh man I can’t wait to get my hands on this set! Yes I can here many people complaining of what’s not on here. And believe I’m one of them guys who got mad at the content awhile back because there was nothing from the years 2000 or 2002 but now looking at it. I’m not really complaining at all. Good lord there’s 20 f’n episodes here! So it’s not bothering me any. I just know when all is over and done, I will be saying. BRING ON VOLUME 2 but til then this will do 🙂
There will be music edits and Benoit commentary edits, but I’m sure they’re not counting those as edits. Basically, no matches or segments will be edited out, but there will still be ‘tweaks’. You aren’t gonna get ‘Rollin’ for the Undertaker or J.R. saying what an amazing talent Chris Benoit is. They will of course edited out trailers for upcoming PPVs and advertisements for sponsors.
I am disappointed that it is not in hubs, it is tough to get the discs out with that kind of packaging
Actually given how the slots work its actually quite easy to get the discs out. Much easier than some of the other card DVD cases I’ve encountered.
Yeah, also they tend to add a smooth cardboard backing so discs won’t get scratched.
Looks amazing…cannot wait. I just hope its actually 100% unedited.
I’m sure there will be edits mentioned in the review. Hope not though.
Any news if the uk gets it in blu ray seeing as they get all blu ray?
The blu-ray version of it got scrapped ages ago.
It got cancelled in the US, but still no confirmation for the UK. But at this point i doubt the UK will get either since it comes out in the US next week. The info should have been confirmed by now but nothing yet.
RAW 199 date error?
Actually the date is correct, WWE taped that day. It was actually suppose to be a house show but some reason WWE aired it as RAW, March 3 was the air date.
So it looks like I made the right call pre ordering my one from the states because us in the uk ain’t getting any details for it.
Does anyone know how much Best buy will have it for?

The set looks really good but the lack of a TV-14 with a L rating is worrying that some “colorful” language will be edited. I hope they haven’t promoted a “uncut/unedited” set with edits. I’m sure and also hope WWEDVDNEWS review will display the edits on this set as usual. I will probably skip this set if it’s full of edits.
Just my opinion.
Chris Benoit is mentioned on the box
As he’s been in inside listing for every other set he’s been on. It’s really not anything noteworthy.
