Getting my Special Edition Blu-Ray this week….. it’s on it’s way!!!! YES!!!

  2. J says:

    Dvd > Blu rays
    Great art on the dvd

  3. Chad says:

Pre-ordered the bluray from Best Buy, got it for $24.36 counting tax and everything. It shipped out today (Friday)

  4. Bandit says:

Best Buy has the DVD on sale starting next week for $17.99 – no word on the price for the Blu-Ray. I’m going to take a guess and that it would be just a few bucks more -$22.99? Unless Amazon lowers its price to something similar – I’ll get the Blu-Ray there.

  5. LP1 says:

I find it funny that on the back cover where the matches are listed it says “Randy Orton vs Batista vs Winner of Daniel Bryan/Triple H match”. Why they couldn’t just say “vs Daniel Bryan” I have no idea.

And if someone says it’s because they don’t want to spoil it on the back cover then that’s even funnier considering the big picture right next to the listing.

  6. LP1 says:

Just to add to the SD/HD debate and why some people choose DVD over BR, I honestly had no idea how many ignorant people are out there. I’ve personally witnessed more than once people saying they’d rather buy the DVD version because the DVD version comes with 3 discs whereas the BR version only comes with 2 discs, therefore the DVD version has an entire extra disc full of more features. I didn’t think this type of stupidity was possible. Silly me for overestimating people.

  7. NickP says:

Seeing as WM XXX is available.on the network, as is the complete hall of fame, it will be interesting to see how dvd/bluray sales will fare. As a collector, its a must buy, but is it worth it for other fans? WWE should maybe add some more appeal to purchase these ppvs in the future.

  8. Roaster says:

Will the blu ray be in the DVD style packaging the way they did it last year with wm29?

  9. Nate says:

Are there any other Blu extras than the Sammartino & “All That’s Left Is the Game” reveals? Seems like DVD is the way I’m leaning.

    • Daniel Bee says:

Just those two exclusive to the Blu-ray (it’ll have all the DVD extras too).

Here’s a recent update article on that:
      http://www.wrestlingdvdnews.com/wwe-wrestlemania-30-dvd-runs-8-hours/64881/

    • David says:

Why? Wrestlemania was actually filmed in HD so why not pick it up on the format its meant to seen in?! Kind of boggles my mind why people do this.

HD downscaled to DVD looks like ASS with tons of compression and pixelation.

      • Blu-Rules says:

I think its just people who have preferences and like to to have what makes them happy so them choosing the DVD over the BLU-RAY version is understandable but then why would you choose a rubbish format over a fantastic and much better format that has grown and changed how things are meant to be seen and watched, to me it dont sense, i know Picture quality is not everything (in my eyes it is) but how can you enjoy something that looks horrible and compressed to hell, if something is shot in HD you want to watch it and its meant to be watched in HD its common sense, if something is not shot in HD but is on a HD Format then choosing the DVD version over the Blu-ray version would make more sense because in some eyes there wont be a difference in picture quality and wont be a massive jump even though the footage would still look 100x better on blu-ray, Since this is the landmark 30th anniversary event of Wrestlemania this is a must get and watched in HD even though the Blu-ray extras are hugely disappointing, the network version in 720p will look 1000x better than downscaled DVD version, have fun to the people who get the dvd version!!

        • David says:

Yeah, if you have the Network might as well not even buy the DVD because even streaming at 720p on the network looks miles better than on DVD format.

Thats why I’m not even buying the PPV on DVDs, unless they release them on Blu-ray.

      • Mr Disc says:

Not just that but with Blu-ray you get the full event on one disc without having to change discs over for the last hour of the show like on the DVD version.

  10. SRB says:

Those pictures look great. Cena/Wyatt is nice.

  11. Mr Disc says:

I will be picking this up on Blu-ray but the digipaks on DVD always look better. With Blu-ray you are pretty much only getting the cover in a blue case.
