At the recent request of a site reader, here is a closer look at the RAW and Smackdown full year DVD sets in my collection. Pictured are seasons 1997-2002. Every episode is here except for the Smackdown shows of 1999.
As you may be aware these full TV shows have never been released on DVD by the WWE so these are unofficial, fan made compliations with custom art work.
I only show official WWE DVDs on this website, and only purchase the same for my collection but I made an exception for these sets. Owning all of this footage I grew up watching was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
I know people will be asking where to buy these. Unfortunately I can’t help much with that. I acquired these in 2004 through somebody I got talking to on eBay UK and have since lost contact. All I remember is his name was Terry and I believe he produced these sets himself. So if you’re reading this Terry, thank you for these great DVD sets.
I don’t condone buying unofficial WWE DVDs and aside from these season sets I never have, as you can see from the rest of my collection.
How can i get these ?
This is literally answered in the article:

How do I buy RAW DVDs?

Well gents, I have some good news for you… I don’t know exactly what I have, but I will give you all my info, and you can hit me up and we can start talking. I’m 33 now, but at the age of 17, lets just say I was obsessed with WWF/WWE, and tilted to WCW when Goldberg/NWO were on the scene, but of course went back to WWE as the Attitude Era (Greatest era ever) began. I actually attended WM16,17,18,19 & 20 LIVE in Anaheim, Houston, Toronto, Seattle, and NY respectively. Yeah, I know, pathetic. Lets just say I had a job selling Mary Jane Cosmetics and money wasn’t issue. So, how pathetic was I? Well, I have tapes of every Monday Night Raw and every Smackdown from about 97/98 through about 2004. Haha, I knew I did it for a reason haha. So tomorrow I’m going to head to the garage and bring em all in, lay em out and write down what I have. I do remember working one Monday night and my Dad forgot to record it, I literally almost killed him as it was kinda like a religion for me. I also have approx. 10-15 ECW PPV’s some WCW stuff. Anyway, I’ll get it all on a PDF, and start the process of recording them. I do a little recording on DVD, mostly always sunny and a few other shows but anybody have advice as to the length of DVDs I should use? Kind? Any suggestions, I’d love to hear em. Gimme about a week to get the pdf up. But go ahead and email me at jcseller@me.com and let me know you’re interested and I guarandamntee you, that you will finally see your Raw and Smackdown Classics. And that’s the bottom line, cause JC Campy…. SAID SO
yo im wiling to pay top dollar for a dvd set from 1997-2001 im talking top dollar any where from $100-$200 please read this and contact me at my email @allenmason1123@yahoo.com and buy them way u should contact trashy wwe headquarters or travel them they have 3 locations chicago ny and i think boston with your idea and a duplicate set of dvds dont take the real they may try to take it and give them the idea of putting out the dvd set with your cover art and you’ll a piece of the punishment…thanks greg:allenmason1123@yahoo.com
Is there any way of getting one dvd from you?
That looks fantastic. Do you watched them all in a row ? 😉
I sometimes pick certain times periods to watch and then usually view them back to back, yeah! 🙂
Great. I do this with my recorded and digitalized Nitros too. 🙂
Would you be willing to make copies to sell?
Won’t happen not just because there is no profit margin for such a bulk release, but rights issues, music and characters, plus anything with Owen or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will have to be cleared or scrubbed. Plus all the choking or otherwise imitatabe behavior. Too big a project.
Where can I buy these DVDs
Would you like to scan the covers and then put them online ? That would be great !
That would be awesome tickc317! I’d love to get sets like these. I’ve tried to get them from a few people on iOffer in the past and been burned every time. 🙁
i do not condone getting unofficail dvds as i am a collector too just like db. and i have every dvd ever released. i do not sell bootlegs either, i have just done this as they are not released and for my own enjoyment….however if you want these sets i can point you in the right direction only if db doesnt have a problem with this? i will respect his decision.
Lucky bugger what r the chances that u can copy some of these for me and how much would u charge?
I have the new raw and smackdown sets which are the upgraded version to these I believe. I have raw 1993 – 2008 plus Smackdown 1999 – 2008 in excellent quality from crazymax. The quality is greatly improved compared to any other set out there and I can provide screenshots of any episode you like Daniel? We can compare the quality if you want? Then I have every every episode of Raw/Smackdown/PPVs/ECW/NXT/Superstars/ToughEnough from 2008 onwards in 1080i. Which i and matt if ur reading this have recorded ourselfs from SKY/USA Network on Hard Drives. The quality from 2008 onwards is like blu ray each episode recorded on a Dreambox…so it’s the exactly the same as it airs.
@tickc317 how much would it be to buy Raw is War 1999-2001?
I have Raws from 1996 to 2002 and Smackdown 1999-2002 e-mail me if interested. Hope DB don’t mind me posting this.

How much for raw from 99 to 02
Hi there Tickc317. I just read your comment from Feb last year regarding the Raw and Smackdown episodes from crazymax. Please could you tell me how I would be able to get in touch with crazymax regarding purchasing some of these sets myself?
Hey TICKC317… I’m interested in the sets, so could you possibly contact me at yarbrough.jordan@yahoo.com ? Thanks!
Unfortunately not. Maybe Terry will see this article one day…
Any update on the guy selling these since you first posted this? I’d pay good money to add these to my collection!
HATE YOU !
showoff, i just favorited this as TOO GOOD FOR WWF to sell
those are awesome, the ones on ioffer are rubbish quality…
Holy shit! You lucky, lucky man you. If you ever track the guy down, make sure to send me a message lol.
you all are for having a site this good. dan is a real credit
oh my god, thats must of taken alot of hardwork. your luckiest person in the world
Why can’t the WWE do this? don’t they understand the $$$ this will make them??
La raja 😀
Wow…That collection is amazing! I’m very jealous!
Yea I’m sure there are lots of similar sets out there and I’ve heard of ioffer. These came from the UK.
Anyway just added a photo of the back of the cases for Ray. One from each year (bottom left 1997 to top right 2002).
These sets that i found after about 15secs of research seem very similar! http://www.ioffer.com/i/67433421

I can’t remember what I paid but I bought them by each year. Quality is very good considering it’s recordings from TV.
I will try to get photos up of the back covers but I didn’t concentrate on that because the fronts and spines look a lot better.
and do you think we can get bigger pictures of the backsides?
How’s the quality on those?
How much did that all cost?
I doubt I’ve watched every disc but getting close to it. They are almost always an awesome watch so it’s easy to do. Plus I’ve had them for a long time. Spent some nights reliving the Attitude Era with mates.
Dude how long did it take you to watch all of that!
