The planned name we’re hearing right now for the new Sting DVD and Blu-ray is “Sting – The Ultimate Collection”.

The “Ultimate Collection” name further confirms that the set is likely to be a match compilation without a documentary feature. It follows “Ultimate Warrior – The Ultimate Collection” released earlier this year, and “Goldberg – The Ultimate Collection” released last year.
Sting’s WWE DVD is available to pre-order here on Amazon.com for September.
Coincidentally, that’s the same name given to our Sting Fantasy Concept when created and published by Mark D two years ago, the custom cover art for which is shown above.

I hope his match with Ric Flair on the first and final WCW Nitro are there along with Lex Luger vs Horgan & Hart the day after he turned heel.
Losing interest in a DVD before the content is released because of the Title is even sillier than the people who won’t buy it because of the cover. I mean, really.
The Ultimate Collection is clearly a series. Ric Flair, Randy Savage, Goldberg, The Warrior all had DVDs titled The Ultimate Collection and they were all great releases. Plus Flair(and now Savage) went on to have future releases as well. Calm down people.
I could care less about the name of the set. The could call it “Sting: Stupid Ding-Dong Head Guy” and I’d still buy it. When it comes to stuff not mattering, titles is something I can say is rather unimportant. Titles don’t phase me either way and I’ve come to expect crappy titles from WWE since most are very generic. I’d say for me (in order) what matters is content, running time, and artwork.
And with that, my anticipation for the Sting DVD is dead.
1. Would it kill you to name it “The Man They Call Sting”?
2. Compilation? So that means Sting was never under contract in the first place.
I agree on the name but maybe they want to keep an “Ultimate Collection” series going. It’s been known for a little while this one won’t have a documentary but there’s still a chance Sting could be on here with a new interview, like Warrior popped up for his. Not confirmed either way yet.
The Ultimate Collection? Not much of a name…but I’ll buy it anyway
Was looking at ebay and noticed few days ago a brand new copy of TNA 3 Live Kru went for $10, it was included with Destination X 2008.
What a steal! It’s up there right now for $130 with 4 days left yet.
That newbie bidder drove the price up from $50 to $125 in a matter of 5 minutes. Sometimes i just hate ebay and their moronic bidders that don’t have a clue how bidding actually works.
The guy probably turned away so many people and its now sitting at $130.
I hear you there. Stealing at the last minute still works if the price is decent. I stole a 500 disc auction for Japan wrestling from someone the other day at the last minute. $289 after shipping, about 60 cents a disc. I’ve been making wrestling snow angels with all the collection ever since lol
