WWE’s Randy Orton DVD Confirmed for 2011 – Production Under Way

April 6, 2011 by Daniel Bee

As we’ve been reporting WWE plans to release a Randy Orton DVD this year, which is currently scheduled for release in September.

Orton himself has now confirmed it to be going ahead. Here’s what he had to say on his Twitter account regarding the upcoming release:

My DVD comes out later this year. September as of now. I’ll be posting a link to a ‘teaser’ soon

My DVD will be diff then Cenas. I talk about the good AND bad and my family. Sam did an interview, and Alanna is on it.

Though the title appeared to have changed recently, he has made reference on Twitter to the originally planned name The Randy Orton Experience. That would make some sense since he has revealed Samantha (his wife) and Alanna (his daughter) are included in the feature.

WWE plans to release the feature on DVD and Blu-ray, scheduled for September 6th right now. More on it soon.

since summerslam 2004 match wont be on his dvd set, then i hope to see clippings of the match because its what put him in the main event then on. anyways, i’d like to see matches vs triple h especially from no merc 2007 and the tag team match with john cena vs the entire raw roster

I’ve never been a big fan of Randy Orton, but Wrestlemania showed that he is the true champion of the company. I think his match with Punk was the best of the night. Taker vs. HHH should have been but constantly kicking out of each other’s finishes has lost its shock value now. How many times can you tell the same story without it getting old. The actual finish was pretty good though. Orton stole the show in my view because he knows how to tell the story without looking like he’s trying to tell a story. Not a big fan of that bit where he starts hitting the mat and saying he hears voices though. Its a bit crap.

He replied to someone on Twitter recently that his Benoit Summerslam 2004 match will not be on it. Shame. Vital part of Randy’s career. Regardless it will be a dvd that i’ll be getting.
