Below is a new preview of the “Macho Man – Randy Savage Story” documentary. The clip is titled “You Hear His Name & Smile”, a quote by Kevin Nash in the DVD.
The Savage DVD and Blu-ray is on the way this month – less than 2 weeks away! The UK gets it on November 17th, the USA on November 18th, and Australia on December 3rd.
In an interview with Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com, Lanny Poffo said of the DVD, “I couldn’t believe how believable [it] was. They asked me questions like a shoot interview, and I answered like a shoot interview and I never thought in a million years they would use any of that, yet they used all of it. Fans will have a lot of questions answered by this DVD”.
Lanny also talked about how their mother at first refused to be interviewed for the new documentary because WWE had not sent their condolences when Randy died.
Speaking of new video previews, WWEDVD.co.uk released this preview clip of the behind-the-scenes extra on the new “Slam City” WWE DVD.
The “Slam City” DVD is available now in UK/Europe and is coming soon elsewhere.
The latest WWE DVDs found to have been taken out-of-print (United States) are as follows:
– Global Warming Tour: Melbourne
– No Way Out 2004
– WrestleMania 22
– History of the WWE Championship
In an odd twist, the batch of WWE DVDs and Blu-rays recently changed to January pre-orders on Amazon.com have now reverted back to normal, all back in stock as before.
There will be an ECW theme to the WWE Network next week. Most notably, a live special called “ECW Exposed” will air immediately after RAW on November 10th, to be hosted by both Paul Heyman and Joey Styles. Styles will be interviewing Heyman during the show and fans can submit questions of their own through Twitter using the hashtag #ECWExposed.
The Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards have also been teasing involvement in future WWE Network features, both posting up a “bWo Network” graphic to their Twitter accounts.
WWE has recently begun promoting the upcoming WWE Workout DVDs with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Both will be released next month in time for the holidays.
Amazon has dropped the pre-order price of each DVD to… you guessed it, $9.99!
– Power Series: Triple H DVD ($9.99)
– Fit Series: Stephanie Mcmahon DVD ($9.99)

Got a phone call from Best Buy after I sent them an email. I was told I can return the DVD to a Best Buy store and they will ship the Randy Savage Collector’s Edition DVD to that same store for pick-up. I hope they ship the right one. I want the full box set and not the 3-disc DVD set.
UPDATE: Just got a call from Best Buy Corporate and they apologized profusely for the error and not only am I getting the 3-DVD Set for free but a 72 dollar gift card for the difference in between the price of the Collectors’ Edition and what i paid and took the movie I got back and got a credit put back on my card so overall, I’ll take this and be happy with it. But someone is going to be fired as a result of this error and mess.
At least I’m not the only one who got a mix up on the Ardennes Fury (DVD) and macho man dvd from best buy But i was surprised how the dvd came in this cardboard envolope (however you spell envelope) Here’s my reacton when i opened it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdzblnHtjKk
I emailed best buy today and about an hour ago a woman called me from best buy and said she was sending me a $75 gift card in the mail in 3 buisness days. I’m happy with that because I too got the Ardennes fury DVD.
Jordan B, nice going there as I escalated mine one over through a corporate contact I have there and damn straight we’re going to get this rectified to all of our satisfaction. I like the gift card idea for that amount and to get the regular 3-DVD set for 10 bucks. I sent all my copies of my e-mails and order forms for this set to the head guy there and hoping this gets fixed immediately!
I got an update on my screw up with Best Buy: I ordered HIAC 14 and got a John Mills collection instead. So I checked out the John Mills on Best Buy. It’s a preorder on the same day as HIAC. So I’m thinking the two are mixed up. So be careful if you go the Best Buy route as far as HIAC goes.
the issues with mixed up dvd’s and Blurays, the errors, the mistakes, I bet it is a conspiracy to make physical media collectors change to the 9.99 Network..
Noooo.. I’m not in anyway related to R-Truth.. Yes, I also collect Oliver Stone movies.. lol
Ahh! Youtube! Delete!
Ahhh, you! Zzzzzzzz
don’t give IT attention.. that’s IT’s fuel, Mark.. lol
On a related note, I received a notice from Best Buy that the Macho Man Collectors Edition has shipped. I grabbed it for $9.99 a few weeks ago. However, the SKU attached to the product points me to a DVD entitled: Ardennes Fury (DVD) 2014. It seems the $9.99 offer was too good to be true. I’ll be returning the Ardennes Fury DVD as soon as I can.
I ordered it too for 17 bucks a while back, and just received the same notice today. Man will I be pissed if I do not get the collector’s edition, or even worse something completely different!! I will march right down to my local store and demand they give me that box set lol…
I guess, sadly, “Ardennes Fury” might well show up as it seems fishy it would ship out this early. They’ve made a big error and messed you around so I’m sure a return is no problem, maybe some sort of compensation on top. Here’s to hoping the box set shows up though!
I’ve called best buy a few times within the last few weeks and they assured me that I would be getting the Macho Man box set. However I also received an e mail today saying that the dvd was shipped and only charged me 9.99. I called best buy and they basically told me that they don’t know what dvd I will be getting because the SKU was sending them to the Ardennes Fury dvd. I told the lady I spoke with that the Collector’s edition is no longer on the website and she asked how I ordered it. So I’m sure I will be getting the Ardennes Fury dvd. Also the Macho Man box set is now listed on the bestbuy.com site for 84.99.
Ah right, that’s a shame! On a better note Amazon’s cheap Attitude Era V2 DVDs and Blu-rays shipped out without issue.
Unfortunately by the time I went to order it. The BLU Ray was full price.
I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them last night after discovering this error while checking my order status and no way am i keeping this film as it’s going right back but also put a call into corporate to hopefully reprimand the people responsible for making this mistake to begin with. Was even willing to compromise with these folks and accept the regular 3-DVD set but for 13 bucks but they refused, so hoping they either send me the Collectors’ Edition or will give them an earful they’ll never forget. Hoping the right thing is done here. Will keep you guys posted.
I also spent 45 minutes on the phone with best buy earlier tonight. Had same issues many are reporting with the box set preorder…took awhile but they got a supervisor to sign off on giving me the box set for 9.99 plus tax….i got the impression there quite a few people with the same problem as I was told corporate is involved trying to figure out what happened as they are not happy with giving an $85 product for 10 bucks….if it shows up I will post it…
And I still got a notice saying I was going to be receiving this DVD set as well, so I sent all my copies of the order to corporate and hoping they can rectify this at once!
Update: got an email from best buy that my box set shipped. Hopefully it shows up. Would be a great deal if it shows up
Update……. Ardennes Fury did show up. Oh well. Going to see if they will fix it and give it to me for the price I preordered it.
I had something similar happen recently. I got an e mail from Best Buy saying my preorder of Hell in a Cell 14 had already shipped. The package came today, but inside wasn’t HIAC, but a John Mills movie collection. I hope everyone gets their orders of Macho Man Collector’s Edition at that low a price.
Did the John Mills movie collection have any good matches on it?
Lol, I wish the John Mills collection had good movies on it.
That’s so funny because the same thing happened to me. I just returned John Mills and made Best Buy give me credit for the inconvenience.
Had the same problem. The woman told me that I should be getting the macho man collectors edition (yeah right). I asked her about if it was indeed the macho man dvd why did it ship out so early? She said she didn’t know but my estimated delivery date for it was on the 18th. I will fall over in the floor if I actually get the macho man dvd….
Just checked my order status on UPS and it says the package weighs 0.5000lbs. And the expected delivery date is November 12th. It sucks that it’s gonna be the Ardennes Fury DVD because I spoke with bestbuy 3 times and they assured me each time it would be the Macho Man box set.
Bestbuy is pulling the worst heel turn in the history of WWE DVD collecting.
Seeing that they have made good for most of us is a relief….I will be calling them tonight for my reparations…..I’ve never even heard of this Ardenne’s Fury crap….I guess that producer will be very upset when they realize all these pre-orders were a mix up!! Lol
I also agree with SRB. I was always a huge Macho Man fan. It really is like a piece of your childhood is gone. Really can’t wait to see this. Between Mark’s in depth look at the dvd and these clips it really is emotional just thinking how we will never get to see the Macho Man again.
I agree with SRB…every time a legend from the 80s and 90s passes…it really is another piece of the childhood gone forever…makes me sad…but I can’t wait for this release to drop…come on Nov.18
I feel the same way about Savage that I do about Warrior, like a piece of my childhood is gone. That’s a sad video to watch and I’m betting the documentary will be just the same. RIP Macho Man
