Rare WWE DVDs Sell for $100-$350 on eBay Within Past Month

July 10, 2011 by Daniel Bee

Here’s a rundown of WWE DVDs considered rare, that have been auctioned off on eBay (USA) within the past month and sold for whopping prices between $102 and $355.

SummerSlam 2008 DVD (FYE Exclusive Tin) – $102

Not sure if this was just a case of a bidding war ensuing but this one does appear to be harder to come across than other FYE exclusive tins such as SummerSlam 2007.

Vengeance 2002 DVD (ShopZone Exclusive) – $150

No real surprise here, the always sought after 2002 PPV titles that were exclusive to WWE ShopZone in the USA often demand big bucks. In other regions these are still being produced.

Sampler DVD (Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero) – $202

Who’d have thought these WWE Sampler promos would become highly desired for collections?

Sampler DVD (Lesnar/HBK/Mysterio) – $250

Another sampler, and they are just that, but try finding them now without paying prices like this!

McMahon Signed WM Anthology DVD Boxset – $260

In this case $260 seems a reasonable price for the leather boxset, limited edition to 1000 units. With more finding this auction it probably would have fetched considerably more.

Trish Stratus DVD (FYE Collector’s Edition) – $297

Often regarded as the rarest retail released WWE DVD out there, the “Collector’s Edition” always goes high when it’s spotted. There’s been an influx in people listing theirs lately, and it’s not surprising for a potential $300. There is another on eBay right now () and it’s been bid up to $295 thus far, so it may even surpass what this one sold for!

Live and Unscripted DVD (WWE Mag Exclusive) – $355

Wow! Even higher than the Trish DVD, this sold last night after the auction fetched a huge $355. Similar to the sampler titles this was just a bonus DVD, sent to WWE Magazine subscribers. It just shows it’s not about what the content is, it’s the rarity factor. By the way, this one was not even still sealed. Live and Unscripted just might be the rarest non-retail released WWE DVD.

What do you think, would you pay these prices to complete your collection?

  5. Tristan says:

  6. ChadWWE says:

Sorry to double post, but he listed it before and it didn’t hit the reserve for that auction when it ended at US $167.50

  7. ChadWWE says:

Trish DVD is up again. If I see it used, I’m going to buy it to sell it. If people are going to pay it, let me take advantage of that.
WWE Trish Stratus Collector FYE EXCLUSIVE DVD WWF RARE!

  8. Daniel Bee says:

Seen a a fair few of the 4-Disc Piper set on eBay not so long back including two that were still sealed. I got a used one from there a couple of months ago. I think now there are Trish ones going up lately because this site brought more attention to it’s value, but it’s still very hard to find usually.

  9. chris says:

what about the roddy piper 4 disc set i think its the rarest dvd out i never seen one on ebay before

  10. Anonymous says:

what about the roddy piper 4 disc exclusive set i think its rarer then the trish stratus dvd

  11. Scott says:

Still no Raw Homecoming’s popping up, I mean the US version of course.

  12. FRS914 says:

I have the SS 08 tin (opened so prob worth less-got it on sale at fye for 20 bucks when it came out, wish I had got a second copy and kept it sealed now that I hear this) I also have a sealed dvd sampler laying around in my room somewhere that has IIRC clips of the Pillman, Piper, and Hogan Ultimate Anthology sets. It came with one of my wwe dvd sets. I think it was a Circuit City Exclusive but not sure. Gotta go look for it.

  13. Josh says:

no, I’ll stick with just having all the retail sets and consider my collection complete, tho if I found a decent deal on the leather Mania Anthologly I might think about it

  14. Isrs4life says:

Are you kidding me? those? really? some one got ripped
off I tell you, what a shame!

  15. Ross says:

I got the Australian version of Vengeance 2002 and Judgment Day 2002 for $5 each the only difference I can see is the rating, and the region but most people these days have region free dvd players

  16. Eric says:

Live and Unscripted is the rarest, period. They didn’t even produce enough to send out to the people that sent in for the offer. Humorously enough, what they sent out to the others was the Trish DVD (regular version, of course. The only one of those I have is Vengeance, which I paid $60-70 for last year. I do think it is the US version though. As yes, to whoever asked, the Koch versions are worth way less. Always ask, if you are buying one of the rares, if it is the US or Canadian version. If it doesn’t state US, it is usually Koch.

  17. Dave says:

For those interested the Trish DVD that didn’t hit the reserve price is up again for $400 BUY IT NOW option.

  18. StunneraQu says:

Haha i own the signed Mania set xD

  19. Dave says:

    @Cory

I think the only reason is rarity…the US version was exclusive to WWEShop whereas the KOCH was available everywhere like any other DVD and produced in higher quantities.

  20. Cory says:

I have the Koch version of Vengeance 2002. A buddy of mine has the us version. And I saw no difference in the program. I guess some people are really anal about there collection.

  21. Anonymous says:

Makes me wish I never let that trish dvd sit on the shelf at my local moviestop when it was only FIVE BUCKS. I’ll be rich right now :'(

  22. Chris says:

@Rob I sold the Koch version of Vengeance for $30 a week ago not quite the price of the US version but since I only paid $5 I’m happy.

A Vince signed WM set sold for only ~$130 was planning to pay up to double on it but didn’t find out till I tried to bid at the last second that I couldn’t place a bid cos I’m in the UK.

  23. SRB says:

I see mine up there! 🙂

  24. Scott says:

The best part is no US Raw Homecomings have popped up, and all these have been in the last 2 weeks. The guy selling the Unscripted DVD has already told me that the winner is a new member with no feedback at all, so he is already wary of whether they’ll pay or not.

    • Daniel Bee says:

Even if the winning bidder of L&U doesn’t pay, there must have been at least one other genuine person willing to lay down about $300. That’s telling.

  25. Tristan says:

Wow! I saw SummerSlam 2008 with tin in a store for like 10 bucks last week…… I better go back now!

  26. Daniel Bee says:

Being KOCH does affect it’s value, but hey well worth $6.

  27. Rob L says:

I have Vengeance 02 but mine is the KOCH version. Does that effect the value of it? And yoiu won’t believe what I paid for it at my local DVD resell shop. A whopping $6!!!

  28. Jeff Copeland says:

wat about judgement day 2002 that has gone for like 300 bucks on amazon

    • Daniel Bee says:

This is just what has ended recently Jeff, past 30 days on eBay. If it’s a list of rarest WWE DVDs it’d no doubt have Judgment Day 2002 and Homecoming too.

  29. Daniel Bee says:

Nah Shaun, gonna make a video today or early in the week. A SummerSlam tin and a different coloured Mysterio DVD aint enough to wait. There’s plenty to show 😉

  30. Shaun Blackford says:

great pick up that dan. so i see u will wait for your new things to arrive before u film the stack

  31. Daniel Bee says:

I made an offer for a still sealed SummerSlam 2008 tin on eBay for $11 the other day, and it was accepted. It was newly listed and I only went for it because I hadn’t seen it much before. Then I saw the $100 one in completed listings. Maybe it’s little tricky to find.

  32. thomas says:

yeah excellent post i so close a last summer my fye had both the summerslam 2007 and 2008 tins i decided to pick up the 2007 version and not the 2008 🙁

  33. Daniel Bee says:

Thanks Shaun. Yeah, I thought the winning bidder of that Anthology got it for a great price.

  34. Shaun blackford says:

Nothing but crazy! Very good post btw can u believe the steal on that McMahon box
