1) Opening Contest- Chris Benoit and The Hardy Boyz vs MVP and MNM (with Melina) in a Six Man Tag
?
?
?
MVP is the first man to come out. MVP is joined by MNM.
Hardyz and them had a great rivalry going as did Benoit and MVP. Benoit in the final months of his life here unfortunately and you could just tell he was just going about the shows, just to work. Not truly enjoying his craft like he once did.
Jeff Hardy and Matt came out and Cole and JBL talk about the face of Mercury imploding at Armageddon.
Love JBL how he picks on Cole for saying OH MY when Benoit comes out. JBL calls him one of the best ever (which is he obviously was) and says Benoit deserves better then OH MY.
Brilliant piece of commentary there, reminds me of something the legendary Jesse the Body Ventura would say to Gorilla Monsoon.
Although we all know Michael Cole could not lace up Monsoons boots in the booth so to speak.
Here we go, should be a fast paced match here.
To begin we have Matt Hardy and Joey Mercury. A tie-up and both men exchange shots. Mercury still with the mask obviously. Matt is sent into the buckle but got the boot up on Mercury then dropped the elbow to the back of the neck.
Jeff tagged in and dropkicked Mercury. Matt comes in and then with an arm-ringer on Mercury until he tags in Nitro. Nitro walked in a hiptoss. Backed into the corner by Nitro a tag to MVP. MVP and Matt would feud a lot in 07 and here they go in this one. Matt makes some good moves until Benoit comes tagged in.
Benoit and MVP would also soon feud, it would be the last feud for Chris Benoit unfortunately. MVP drops blows to Benoit then a snapmare and a kick to the back of Benoit. Shoulders down on Benoit and a nearfall followed by a chop.
So far everyone tagged in getting in on some of the action.
MVP ducked out but then he finally got in the ring with Benoit and he hits a beautiful snapshot vertical suplex like only Benoit can. A front facelock and then Jeff hit a double axehandle to MVP. MVP rakes the eyes of Jeff and tags in Johnny Nitro.
Nitro on Jeff with the fans chanting Hardy, Hardy, Hardy in LA. Nitro takes a leg of Jeff but he turns around and then off the ropes he slams Nitro down and splits the leg dropping down the legs to the groin of Nitro. Nitro back up slapping Hardy in the face and now Jeff tries chasing him ariound the ring and Mercury sent Jeff back-first into the barricade. Suddenly MNM are in control of the match. Nitro with a nearfall.
Nitro with a reverse chinlock to Jeff Hardy. A boot to the back on the apron by Mercury to Jeff isolating him from his corner, Matt and Benoit just stood there with nothing to do. Mercury got nearfalls on Jeff Hardy. Mercury with a reverse chinlock, Melina on the outside yells rip his head off.
MVP disctracts the officials while MNM choked out Jeff. MVP with a vertical suplex. Jeff Hardy elbowed off his competition and a variation of the Whisper in the Wind. Matt Hardy tags in and he takes apart of Nitro. Clotheslining both MNM. Matt Hardy with a strong clothesline then a Side Effect to Mercury kicked out.
MVP drops Matt Hardy behind the official. Nitro and MVP continue the damage to Matt Hardy and then MVP slaps on a reverse chinlock. A hard clothesline, tag made to Johnny Nitro as they continue to single out Johnny Nitro. Matt Hardy hit a suplex on Mercury and Benoit is tagged in with the hot tag.
Forearms, suplexes, clotheslines, more suplexes and a double german by Benoit to both members of MNM. Got the crowd going, that is for sure.
Matt Hardy lays down so Jeff can hit the poetry in motion, the Side Effect, the Swanton and noe Air Benoit with a diving headbutt on the mask of Joey Mercury, but MVP breaks up the three count. Matt Hardy tosses MVP out of the ring. Jeff with a sunset flip to the outside but Nitro hung on and clotheslined him.
Benoit caught MVP in the middle of the ring in a crossface. Nitro makes the save.
Great stuff here.
Mercury and Nitro got ready to double-team Benoit and then going for the snapshot failed as Matt rolled over Nitro, Benoit rolled Mercury into the Crossface.
In the end 14:19, Benoit and The Hardy Boyz won the match after Benoit made Joey Mercury tap out.
Cole was right when saying what a match up to kick off No Way Out!
This Match as an opener worked very well due to the workrate and fast pace.
Awesome.

4) King Booker (With Queen Sharmell) vs Kane
?
?
I am not looking forward to this one to be perfectly honest. I did not enjoy King Booker in his gimmick, and while a talented worker who I respect I was never a fan of his wrestling unless he would tangle with say Chris Benoit.
Then there is Kane who I am even less of a fan of, put them together and I could not possibly see a great match coming out of the blue here but I will go into it with an open mind. Seeing they are getting thirteen minutes to work can be either a good or bad thing.
Regardless here we go.
Bell rings and the two tangle.
King Booker the former World Champion up against the One Day Champion (at this point) Kane. King Booker hops around and Kane corners King Booker scoring a European uppercut and an elbow to the jaw of King Booker followed by a big right-hand to the mid-section.
King Booker choked to the corner while Kane unleashed some offense. Kane kicked at King Booker and then he came back with a chop to Kane and a few more shots. King Booker launched into the corner by Kane and he stomped on King Booker.

Kane drops the knee onto the lower-back of King Booker. Smashmouth wrestling and Kane in full control. Kane grabs King Booker by the throat and King Booker off the ropes runs into a boot to the face. King Booker gets up and is clotheslined over the top rope to the floor.
Sharmell on the outside runs away as Kane delivers some slow offense to Kane.
King Booker with a desperate move hit a low blow on Kane and them threw him into the steel steps. King Booker sent Kane back in the ring. King Booker off the top and then he hit a missile dropkick to Kane. Booker scored a nearfall.
King Booker now with a armbar but Kane twists him around and drops King Booker with a clothesline. Kane with a few hard shots to King Booker. Kane with another high boot to King Booker off the ropes. Kane then using agility goes to the top for a flying clothesline but King Booker countered in mid-air with a heel kick from a heel.
King Booker now up first.
King Booker with an arm-twist and a high thrust kick followed by a two count.
King Booker and Kane run into each other and hit a double clothesline, King Booker has him but Kane kicks out. King Booker would not believe it and continues his offensive onslaught on Kane.
King Booker runs into a thunderous clothesline by Kane that turns him inside out.
Kane now from the top hit a clothesline in this back and forth match. He signals for a chokeslam and Sharmell distracts the official. Kane runs into a scissors kick by Booker but then into a chokeslam again by Kane.
In the end at 12:58 Kane defeated King Booker by Chokeslam.
This match went back and forth. Not bad at all, it was nothing overly impressive but certainly not boring in any parts.
A good showing here.

5) Paul London and Brian Kendrick (c) vs Deuce and Domino (With Cherry) For the WWE Tag Team Championship
?
?
Here we go some fine tag team action for the tag titles. London starting out the match here slapping to Domino, a leap-frog in comes Brian Kendrick and then both men double-team Domino flipping him upside down. London assured Brian Kendrick he had him.
London and Brian Kendrick with a ton of double-team tandem offense making this very exciting in the early stages.
A lot like The Rockers used to set the stages for a tag match, this is how Londrick set the pace for this one.
London with a side headlock and then Domino and Deuce dropped him from a shot from behind, a double axehandle. Deuce covered London and got a two.
Domino from the ring apron is bleeding from the mouth.
Fans in favor or Londrick as London is sent hard back-first into the buckle. Deuce and Domino controlling the pace here working over the back of London.
Deuce then slams London back-first driven into the turnbuckle. Domino comes in utilizing textbook tag wrestling isolating London in their corner with a double axehandle to the back of Paul London.
Double team again as they back-drop Paul London as he kicks out.
JBL with some solid color commentary about winning tag matches by isolating one man, not having to beat both.
Some old-school tag techniques you would almost never see these days being brought up here, strategies anyway.
And just like the old days, the hot tag is touched here as Brian Kendrick comes in and he hits a unique crucifix on Deuce. A bunch of kicks until he runs into a thunderous clothesline. Brian Kendrick in the corner down and he gets his boots up on Deuce. Domino from the apron tags in and tries to come off the top and he misses. London pushed off the apron. Brian Kendrick rolls up Deuce and they get the victory with a sunset flip when Domino misses off the top!
Fans pop!
In the end at 8:06 Londrick retain!
?
This match has a solid flow and pace.
Some great material here.

6) Mr. Kennedy vs Bobby Lashley (c) for the ECW Championship
?
?
Bobby Lashley and Ken Kennedy got things going in the entrance way but they eventually got things going back in the ring.
Kennedy was one month before winning Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania 23 so of course JBL would not stop pimping him up as the fastest rising star.
Just the month before Kennedy got a World Title match against Batista at the Rumble. Bobby Lashley kept hitting clotheslines on Kennedy to a chorus of boos and now Bobby Lashley hits a suplex to Kennedy exploiting his power holding Mr. Kennedy in the air for a matter of seconds.
Bobby Lashley gets a kick from Kennedy and he slams his head into the top turnbuckle.
Kennedy holds a sleeper.
?
Kennedy then wears down the ECW Champion and applied a leg-lock taking the bigger man down cutting down his leverage advantage which was intelligent from a basic strategic stand-point.
Lashley struggling to get out finally does but Kennedy ruthlessly attacks the legs of Lashley.
Kennedy then finds the weakness and keeps the pressure on the knee and ankle of Bobby Lashley.
Kennedy with a half-crab to Bobby Lashley. Bobby Lashley tries to fight back but Lashley is cut down to size by kicks from Mr. Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy then dropkicked the legs of Bobby Lashley as some smarks finish it.
Bobby Lashley only gets a two count.

Bobby Lashley got hit with a steel chair by Kennedy and then Bobby Lashley hit Kennedy down and Lashley got himself DQd by the chair-shot.
Fans boo the result.
The match was actually good though, a solid story throughout.
?
In the end at 15:25 Kennedy defeated Lashley by DQ after the chairshot.
?
He did not get the title though as a result, Kennedy…
?
This match had its slow parts but as mentioned told a good story.

7) Main Event- Undertaker and Batista vs Shawn Michaels and John Cena
?
?
Before Shawn Michaels and John Cena got it on at Mania 23, and before Taker and Batista did, they put both guys against each other on teams at the PPV before it at No Way Out.
Michaels comes out as the only member of DX which was pretty ridiculous in early 07. I guess merchandise had to sell.
Either way Shawn Michaels and Cena on a team taking on Taker and Batista in the main event. Partners tonight, opponents at Wrestlemania.
Cena comes out to a mixed reaction of course.
Cena and Batista start out with their usual offense until Michaels and Undertaker carry the action from there.
Feeling each other out.
JBL and Cole delivering commentary.
Batista now goes at it with Michaels.
Shawn chops down Dave but he gets a scoop slam on HBK, however he misses the elbow.
Cena tagged in and the fans boo. Some fans cheer as Batista elbows Cena down. Now fans are in complete favor of Undertaker on Cena.
I saw an Undertaker-Cena match in person but for some reason people think it is some dream match. They battled while Cena was a rookie and their work was relatively good but its not as if they have never met.
Cena on the top rope battling with Undertaker and he gave Cena a headbutt.
Cole had clearly lost his voice by this time of the night.
A superplex by Cena on Undertaker. Batista and Shawn both wanting the tag. Taker sat up and Cena off the ropes gets a clothesline by Undertaker. Taker dropped with an elbow. Shawn Michaels tagged in.
Shawn with a flying forearm and then kicks up. Michaels gets caught by the throat by Taker and Shawn chopped back. Shawn Michaels scooped up by Undertaker and he throws Michaels to the outside.
Batista picks up Michaels and drops him head-first on the steel steps on the outside.
A slugfest breaks out between Shawn Michaels and Undertaker but then a side suplex by Taker drops Michaels. Dave Batista tags in.
A body-scissors to Shawn Michaels.
Cena wanted Shawn Michaels to get out of the middle of the ring.
Shawn Michaels from no where got a ddt on Batista.
Cena is tagghed in and both him and Batista run into one another. Shawn Michaels leaps on Undertaker into his arms and he got rammed into the ring-post.
Batista now on Cena and went to drop him with the bomb but Shawn Michaels got back in and took the leg out of Batista. Cena slams the head of Batista into the buckle. Shawn Michaels chopped at Batista and kicked at big Dave.
Cena with a big clothesline to Batista but just a two count.
Shawn Michaels tagged in with a front facelock wearing Batista down. Cena tags in and does a front facelock and Batista backdrops him. Both men in the wrong corner for a tag and recieve a punch.
Cena goes for the STFU on Batista.
Undertaker breaks it up.
Cena scoops up Batista and slams him, in comes Michaels again. Shawn Michaels goes to the top rope and drops the elbow. Michaels tunes up the band but Batista ducks and plants Michaels. Undertaker and Cena are tagged in.
Undertaker knocking down Cena and Michaels both.
Crowd is white hot.
Cena catches a shoulder block flying from the Deadman. Undertaker with two Stinger splashes to both opponents each and grabbed both Cena and Shawn Michaels by the throat! Hands Shawn Michaels to Dave with a Spinebuster.
Undertaker with a chokeslam on Cena. Undertaker signalled for a Tombstone on Batista but he hit a Spinebuster on Taker and went outside the ring to a chorus of boos.
Now Shawn Michaels hits a superkick, Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment and their team wins.??
In the end at 22:09 Shawn Michaels and Cena pick up the win.
High Quality Tag Team Main Event. It shows Tag Wrestling is not dead if it is executed correctly.??

Final Rating for WWE No Way Out 2007 = 7/10
This show was hit and miss. Some matches worked while some did not. Only one poor match, one average match, then four good to great ones. It had some pointless Diva Filler like most Smackdown! brand PPV events but there is enough quality here to buy the DVD for a relatively cheap price.
The main event was awesome and the Lashley/Kennedy match was also very strong.
