Disc 1:
Introduction by Michael Cole & Matt Striker
# 100 – The Spinner April 14, 2005
-This was a hilarious piece focusing on when Cena introduced the Spinner belt as the new WWE title.
Regal claims Cena has gone mad. Candice loves it. Matt Striker gives his two cents as does Santino Marella which helps how this comes across entertainment wise.
?
#99 – Unlikely Merger October 31, 2002
-This was clips of a Halloween Party where Bischoff made out with Stephanie McMahon.
Superstars say we all wish they could do it.
?
# 98 – Here Comes the Chokeslam July 10, 2003
-This was a clip of Big Show chokeslamming Brock through a table.
Nothing extraordinary but impressive none the less. If Benoit was allowed on this set, things like his suicide dive against the announce table against Booker T would replace moments like this, surely…
#97 – A SmackDown Tradition
-This here showed clips of Thanksgiving on Smackdown! Features like backstage feasts and the Trish and Stacy match.
Matt Striker gives us his take on things as well.
?
# 96 – Randy Orton vs The Undertaker -WWE Smackdown! September 16, 2005
The first full length match on the set.
These two have had tremendous matches at Wrestlemania and Summerslam in the same year of 2005. As well as many others with different stipulations.
Randy Orton and The Undertaker had feuded through the whole year in 2005. A lot of great matches between the two and now we are settled for a tv match here.
Back from the commercial break the action must of been going on and The Undertaker is in control. Taker with a tight side headlock on Orton and off the ropes The Undertaker began to build momentum but Orton slammed him to the mat.
Orton kicked at Taker and delivered more shots. Orton irishwhipped The Undertaker to the corner before he came bouncing out with a big boot. The Undertaker gets a two. The Undertaker
Good pace here.
The Undertaker with an arm-ringer torking on it stomping on the mat. The Undertaker worked over the left shoulder softening up Orton for the RKO. The Undertaker drops the arm over the top rope. Orton hits a reverse elbow until The Undertaker slaps on an armbar submission hold.
Great amateur wrestling from The Undertaker focusing on his arm.
Tazz points this out on commentary. The Undertaker with another hard shot to the shoulder. The Undertaker in the corner delivered a body shot to the gut of Orton. The Undertaker with an arm ringer on Orton and he was losing his balance. The Undertaker goes up for Old School.
The Smackdown! fans in Little Rock came unglued but Orton prevented The Undertaker from losing his agility and balance as he drops. Orton fights back.
Randy with a front facelock up top on The Undertaker but he fougth back. Orton landed on his feet and hit The Undertaker with a forearm and then an uppercut. Orton relentless scoops up The Undertaker and hits a Superplex all the way to the mat.
Great stuff.
The Undertaker down and Orton ordered for a truck to be brought to the ring. The Undertaker sits up but Orton plants him with a ddt buying him time.
Cowboy Bob Orton brought out a truck and inside several people pulled out a Casket.
Another commercial break unfortunately as Orton is wearing down The Undertaker in the rin with a reverse chinlock on the Deadman.
The Casket is still at ringside.
The Undertaker fights back but Orton hit a textbook standing dropkick as The Undertaker charged off the ropes. Back into a chinlock by Orton.
Randy Orton and The Undertaker engage in a straight up brawl now. Orton counters The Undertaker’s offense landing his modified backbreaker.
Orton got a two.
The Undertaker seems to have a cut on his face and Orton levelled Taker with an uppercut. Undertaker hit with a European uppercut. The Undertaker out of desperation hit a flying shoulder.
Cole calls it Vintage Undertaker. I’m sure he has said that about every move. The Undertaker drops Orton with Snake Eyes and a big boot followed by a leg drop. Orton kicks out.
Orton seems to be in trouble as The Undertaker signals for a chokeslam and Orton kicks Taker to the gut which waes him up. The Undertaker drives Orton to the floor. The Undertaker now chases Bob Orton around the ring. The Undertaker scoops up Orton and was about to place him in a Casket but The Undertaker was in there. A clone of himself.
A distraction allowed Orton to drive The Undertaker into the steel steps.
Impressive stuff with The Undertaker clone.
Randy Orton now in the ring clobbers The Undertaker in the throat with hard shots to the esophagus. The Undertaker getting a taste of his own medicine.
Orton poses at the top and The Undertaker went for a last ride. Orton ducked a clothesline and took out the official.
Orton hit the RKO on The Undertaker. Orton called for Robinson. The Undertaker kicks out still! Randy Orton is in shock.
The Undertaker now sits up and drops Orton with a chokeslam but Cowboy Bob Orton dragged Robinson out of the ring and went to hit Taker.
The Undertaker dropped Bob and from behind Orton went for an RKo and was pushed off. The Undertaker sets up Orton for a Tombstone and he hits its.
Referee Brian Hebner evetually makes it out and The Undertaker wins.
An amazing climax here.
In the end at a TV time (excluding commercials) 15:55 The Undertaker put away Orton.
This is one hell of a Smackdown! Classic.

# 93 – Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero In a Cage Match -WWE Smackdown! September 9th, 2005
It’s time to take a look at a match with two opponents in Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio who were in a heated feud at the time.
Most matches between the two are fantastic.
This was the final match, or big match that I can think of between Rey and Eddie before his untimely death since this took place only a couple of months before his death in the fall of 2005.
Rey said anytime he stepped into the ring with Eddie it was magic, but adding stipulations like a Cage it just made it better.
I loved Eddie Guerrero`s theme here with the ring tone and his slow sadistic walk to the ring. Just great stuff.
Christy Hemme and Stacy Keibler before she decided to dance with the stars hung out with Long and Company in a Skybox for this night and are shown during Guerrero`s entrance. Lucky guys.
Eddie Guerrero told Rey he couldn`t beat someone with nothing to lose. He was a person with nothing to lose, yeah Eddie`s character was REAL dark around this time.
Rey had built his career about being the underdog and in this bout they made it clear he was the sympathetic face and Eddie was just the picture of everything that was EVIL.
Rey got in the ring and posed and the crowd was ready for another great match and the final one in the Rey-Eddie saga that was absolutely tremendous in both WCW and the WWE.
They credit Mysterio to being 7-0 against Eddie, Guerrero had beaten him in other meetings but not where the WWE was concerned.
Eddie Sucks were heard and then Eddie viciously attacked Rey. The Friday Night Smackdown Cage match underway. Eddie Guerrero wasted little time as he slammed Eddie head first into the cage. Eddie Guerrero launched Rey from a powerbomb position head first backwards into the cage.
Eddie on top of Rey kept dishing out the punishment with the likes of forearms to the head.
Eddie Guerrero irishwhipped Rey to the ropes he ducked though, springboarded onto Eddie but he caught him and Rey hit an innovative armdrag to Eddie followed by a Monkey Flip to Eddie that sent him flying. Mysterio with a kick to the back of Eddie and went for a 619 but when he realized he couldn`t do it, Eddie just smiled and laughed at him. Good stuff. Rey hit a dropkick to Eddie and then tried to escape the Cage and Eddie climbed behind him. Eddie picked up Rey from the top and then he flipped over him and hit a powebomb, nice.
Rey just performed that Powerbomb from halfway up the cage which of course knocked himself down in the process. Rey tried to get to the very top of the cage and once there Eddie grabbed an ankle of Rey and then he fell from the top and hurt his knee on the top rope.
Atlanta was fired up after the break as Eddie Guerrero was trying to escape and Rey was holding on by the ankle as Eddie did earlier. Rey got a kick to the face by Eddie Guerrero but Rey met him up there.
Both men on the top rope and Eddie hit a side russian leg sweep from the top rope to Mysterio.
Eddie hit a powebomb with a ton of impact but Rey kicked out somehow. Eddie Guerrero elevated Rey into the Cage but Rey haqd great balance and climbed up the side of the cage to the top but Eddie held on. Eddie and Rey at the top of the Cage and Eddie and Rey exchanged right hands 20 feet above the ring. Mysterio got half his body over the side of the Cage and Eddie grabbed Rey in using his mask, Tazz didn`t know how he did that but all you had to do was look. Both guys up at the top and Rey hit a headbutt to Eddie who hung onto the Cage and then went back down the inside. Both guys on the top of the rope inside the Cage bouncing up top, Eddie kicked at Rey. Mysterio with a dropkick from the top to Eddie but sacrificed his own body from coming off the top, and the inventive Mysterio found any way he could to dish out punishment to Eddie Guerrero.
Eddie kicked Rey in the gut and planted Mysterio with a DDT. Eddie tried to go out the door but Rey grabbed onto the Ankle of Eddie. Rey held onto Eddie by the trunks and then gave him kicks to the mid-section and then the chest. Eddie grabbed onto the steps as Rey grabbed a hold of him any way he could. Mysterio caught Eddie and then planted him face first with a bulldog and both men were down in the center of the ring.
They came back from yet another Commercial Break and Eddie Guerrero climbed the cage but Eddie had a hold of him and then recieved a kick from Rey. Eddie had Mysterio up top in a powerbomb predicament from the top but Rey got out of it and got one leg over the Cage but Eddie Guerrero pulled Mysterio back over again. A hurricanrauna from Mysterio to Eddie Guerrero from the top rope. Rey Mysterio back to his feet slowly climbing the turnbuckle to get to the side of the cage as the crowd encouraged him on to do so, then Eddie Guerrero caught him up there at the top. Rey kicked Eddie off of him. Rey leaped from the top with a crossbody but Eddie Guerrero rolled out of the way and Mysterio crashed and burned as they say, in the middle of the ring. Mysterio wanted Guerrero to pay for the “sins of his past“ and in the meantime went out of his way to hurt Eddie but hurt himself.
This bought Eddie enough time to get to the top and hit a Frog Splash and pick up a victory over Mysterio, Finally!
Solid stuff again between the two.

# 92 – Mr. America
-This was not one of Hulk Hogan’s finest hours. I mean, after all he is Hulk Hogan.
However Mr. America had a few comedy segments that made it worth watching.
Superstars like CM Punk and Santino give their thoughts on the matter. They show the feud between Hogan and McMahon and unfortunately don’t show clips of the hilarious lie detector test where Vince admits to pleasuring himself to photo’s of Torrie Wilson’s playboy Magazine from 2003.
?
# 91 – Out of Tune July 19, 2001
-This featured Austin singing to Vince with his vocal cords not exactly being top notch.
Vince was featured singing as well. Quality.
?
?
# 90 – Signs of Friendship
-This was to show the lighter side of Edge. Edge making fun of Kurt Angle every chance he got on Smackdown! in 2002.
Holding up signs claiming Angle sucked and that’s how the “You Suck” thing came about once his music hit.

# 89 – Chyna (W/The Kat) vs Y2J Chris Jericho (c) for the WWF Intercontinental Championship -WWF Smackdown! 12/30/1999
Chyna had done it all. Except One Night in Chyna, that would come later unfortunately. Not unfortunate because it came later, but just the fact that it came at all.
A IC Champion, Women’s Champion, the first and only woman to compete in the King of the Ring and Royal Rumble.
The crowd was hot for this match.
Jericho and Chyna were both tweeners and we saw some great athleticism by Chyna showing she could go with anybody. Chyna hits a ddt. A lot to settle here, both competitor’s did not like one another. Jericho springboards to the outside onto Chyna. Jericho off the top runs into lowblow from Chyna. Chyna with a kick to the mid-section and a swinging neckbreaker to Jericho. Chyna irishwhipped Jericho to the corner and Y2J hit a running bulldog. Chris Jericho hit a Lionsault and a got a long two. Chris Jericho with a spinning heel kick to Chyna. Jericho grabs a chair with the official down and missed Chyna. Chyna kicks Jericho in the gut and now Chyna goes for the Pedigree and she drops him.
No official.
A new official runs out allowing Chris Jericho to kick out at the last moment. Chyna misses with a clothesline and Jericho his a back suplex onto a chair on Chyna.
Both participants shoulders were to the mat and both Chyna and Jericho went after one another after the officials broke it up.
In the end at just over five minutes they become Co-Champions but the DVD doesen’t tell you that.
This one was solid for sure.

#86 – Return of Piper’s Pit April 10, 2003
-This was Piper way past his prime but it was still good to see him back.
Roddy Piper brought back the Pit was accepted by the likes of Hayes, Regal and Vince.
They show clips of Piper insulting McMahon about the XFL.
They also show Rikishi bringing out a Cocanut as he wanted to get revenge on Piper for dropping Snuka with one decades back. They’d later re-create this on Raw back in early 2009 with Superfly himself just before Wrestlemania 25.
?
# 85 – Carlito vs John Cena (c) (US Title match & Carlito’s debut) -WWE Smackdown! 10/07/2004
?
Carlito’s debut here.
He is a second generation wrestler. In his first match he won the US title. A year later on Raw he ended Shelton Benjamin’s long IC title reign when winning the belt on his debut there as well.
Carlito already had tremendous heat. He grabbed an apple and came into the ring with it getting booed. Cena comes out to a good ovation as the crowd hadn’t turned on him all the way yet. He is using his “Word Life” theme. John Cena clotheslined Carlito to the floor. Cena slams him into the steps.
John Cena has given the rookie a to of power moves with kicks and a fall away slam. A legdrop ad Carlito kicks out at two.
Cena hits a sidewalk slam. John Cena wanted to punish Carlito some more and threw him into the steel steps. John Cena charged at Carlito and he had enough presence of mind to drop the ropes so Cena fals to the floor. John Cena is sent headfirst to the table by Carlito. Carlito in control and rakes the eyes despite Cena fighting back. Carlito goes for a piledriver on the floor but Cena slingshots Carlito into the crowd over the barricade. John Cena back from the break delivers a high boot and misses with a crossbody. Carlito going by Carlito Carribean Cool dopped him with a clothesline. Carlito drives John Cena into the buckle and off the ropes he hits Cena with a reverse elbow. Carlito in control. Carlito wears down Cena with constant pin covers before a chinlock. Carlito countered a backdrop. Cena fires back and its beocoming a slugfest taking Carlito down. Cena with a pair of clotheslines to Carlito and now he goes for the five knuckle shuffle and he drops it. Cena went for an FU and it dropped Carlito to the outside. Carlito grabs the title but Cena grabs it. The official tried to prevent Cena from using the title. Carlito had chains from the corner behind the official and struck Cena in the face.
In the end Carlito won the US title at 12:45.
This one was very basic and it was quite easy to tell Carlito was a rookie. John did his best and it worked out to be a fine match.

A great Smackdown! moment.
?
# 81 – Tazz vs Triple H (W/Stephanie McMahon Helmsley) (non-title WWE Champion vs ECW Champion) -WWF Smackdown! 4/20/2000
?
This one here was interesting.
Triple H was the Champ and he was taking on the ECW Champion in Tazz.
A great little match Vince put together for Smackdown!
Tazz was incredibally over but Hunter was on top of his Game. He could get great heel heat without trying.
Triple H initially tried to wrestle but Tazz elected to fight. Triple H was in trouble here as Tazz took it to the Game in the corner with some kicks.
Tazz was the rough brawler from ECW and he was going to use his power game against the Champion. Tazzz clotheslines Hunter over the top rope and smashed his head onto the announce table.
Tazz slammed the Game into the table.
Hunter retaliated sending Tazz into the steel steps. HHH drops Tazz on the steps.
Triple H hit a suplex followed by a knee to the forehead. Both guys slug away at one another and Hunter drives his knee into Tazz.
A Desperation suplex takes the Game to the mat. Both men up and off the ropes Triple H runs into a reverse elbow. Tazz catches HHH and attempted a belly to belly, Triple H rakes the eyes but somehow Tazz managed to hit a belly to belly suplex. A long two count and Tazz was frustrated.
HHH hit a facebuster and out of desperation Tazz locks in the Tazzmission. A lowblow behind the official by Stephanie McMahon.
Triple H hit a Pedigree. All of the sudden T|ommy Dreamer runs in with a chair and accidentally hits Tazz with a chair.
EC Dub chants chanted throughout. Hunter lays out Dreamer with a chair. Hunter pins Tazz and gets the win at 7:17.

# 76 – Chris Jericho vs Hulk Hogan (c) in a No DQ match for the WWE Undisputed Championship -WWE Smackdown! 5/02/2002
This was during Hogan`s reign as Champion and he defended the title against Jericho on Smackdown! here.

Hulk feeling momentum slams Jericho to the mat and drops elbows to Jericho. Hogan went for an elbow drop off the ropes and Chris Jericho wisely moves out of the way. Chris Jericho with a running bulldog. Chris Jericho connects with a Lionsault.
“The Game” Triple H runs out and stands at ringside watching things.
This allows Hogan to rest up. Hunter is all smiles while Chris Jericho is furious.
Hogan fought back with a series of shots to Jericho and off the ropes Jericho ducked a boot to the face and Chris Jericho hit a ddt for a nearfall.
Jericho started beating on Hogan but he shook it off and felt the momentum of the people and Hulkamania.
Soon enough Jericho’s offense didn’t have any affect on Jericho as Hogan drops him with a punch, a boot and wet for a legdrop.
Chris Jericho counters the legdrop into the Walls brilliantly.
Will Hogan tap in the Walls, with the title on the line. Hulk made it to the ropes but the damage was done. Chris Jericho went to the outside and threw the time keeper.
Jericho grabbed chair and struck it on Hogan and as the match was NO DQ it was all legal.
Taker’s music hit now. Smacdown! was stacked around this time.
Jericho with a chair in hand ws distracted by Taker at 9:34 Hogan got the win with the roll up retaining the title.
In the end Hogan won but Jericho really carried this thing.

Hardcore Holly loves teaching rookies lessons. But wait, this is a 3rd generation wrestler so he could be here to stay. Watch it Bob.
Randy Orton had a few fans and was a good looking kid. The only problem was he had Rocky Maivia syndrome and would benefit as a heel not long after this before the Evolution thing got going.
Orton came in all smiles.

The Rock was the hottest thing in Pro-Wrestling and here he was taking on one of the most credible teams in the Dudleyz.
Could the Rock on his own show overcome the odds?
You must put each person through a table in order to win the match.
The Rock began brawling throwing both Bubba and D-Von together.
This was a typical attitude era brawl.
Both Dudleyz double teamed The Rock. Bubba Ray Dudley dropped an elbow on Rock a series of times while D-Von held Rock down on the mat.
Fans behind The Rock. Rock fired off the ropes with a clothesline to Bubba Ray Dudley but D-Von dropped him. Rock hit a Samoan Drop and then a Spinebsuster to D-Von.
Rock went for a People’s Elbow but Bubba Ray Dudley speared him cutting Rock off not making the crowd happy.
Rock fought back with a ddt to D-Von and then a Rock Bottom to Bubba Ray Dudley through a table.
Rock had his PEOPLE with him and now all he had to do was put D-Von through one. The Rock set up a table and now put it in the middle of the ring. Bubba used a chair on Rock and the Dudleyz 3D’d Rock through a table.
In the end this one lasted around six minutes.
This match had some good fun.

# 59 – Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy V1 (c) (Mfers-Shannon Moore and Crash Holly) for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship -WWE Smackdown!: July, 5th 2003
?
Matt Hardy is often hilarious.
Lets be honest here. Like him or not, hate this gimmick, his voice, his sayings, he is passionate about the WWE and he is a good to great worker. In this division he was fabulous as the chemistry with Rey was solid as seen here.
Matt and Rey had a big time rivalry in the beginning half of 2003 or perhaps the whole year if memory serves right, Rey got screwed in the opener of Wrestlemania 19 as Matt held the ropes for leverage and the official did NOT see it.
Rey had waited a long time to win the title.
This match he would finally do it a few months AFTER WM X-9 in Anaheim with his family front row at ringside.
Rey knew and Matt knew and we all knew this was going to be BIG. Now for it to pay off and be as good as it was, is just an awesome touch.
The MFers got involved so they were sent to the back. That is kind of hillarious in its own right, MFERS. May Lockwood aka Crash Holly Rest in Peace and Shannon Moore is releases so thanks for the memories I guess, I believe Shannon is gone anyway, I thought that is what I read.
Either way this contest got off to a brilliant start with ducks, go behinds, reversals, counters and Matt got the best of Rey early. He attacked him from behind. Matt would spend a great deal of time choking out Rey in any way he could! Rey who had to battle through all the odds to get to this point looked like it was going to be the same song and dance, and with Matt arguing with the ref on the outside he did a spring board Senton off the top to the outside hitting Matt, they go to a commercial break at this spot and then they tell us Rey was all over Matt during the commercial, but just when we get back Matt found a way to attack Reys left knee.
Rey Mysterio had his family looking concerned at ringside as Matt applied a half boston crab very similarly to how Angle did at Summerslam. Rey got to the ropes though and the place popped.
You have just got to love Mattitude. The Attitude Era was successful so why not be Mattitude, right….
Anyway while Rey tried to walk he limped so that was awesome selling and Matt targetted his Left leg again and used the rope for leverage (but just not to win like at Mania) but no, to apply more pressure to Reys leg.
Cole said it best when he said Matt is battling a man on one leg. Matt could attract heel heat just by looking at the crowd and with Rey hanging upside down in the corner Matt went charging at Rey but Rey moved and Matt hit the corner!
Turn of events as Rey hit a hurricanrana but only got a 2.
This has been one of the best Smackdown Cruiserweight stories I have ever seen, just like the Chavo-Debut match on Smackdown! this is a brilliant choice for the DVD especially fitting as it involves his family and its the ending saga in a long time feud with him finally winning the big one. This match would have been a LOCK to the DVD regardless if it was REALLY good but lucky for us IT WAS THAT good and we should all be grateful.
Matt hit a Side Effect out of no where and Rey kicked out, just moments later Rey oput him in a cradle and MATT KICKED OUT! Then MATT hit the TWISTE OF FATE! Rey kicked out! Rey got ANOTHER ROLL UP AND MATT KICKED OUT! Rey hits a 619 and goes for a West Coast POP and Matt Catches him but Rey drags him towards the ropes with his legs and hits a hurricanrauna that sends Matt to the outside.
Wow.
This match is incredible.
Rey broke the count at 9 and Matt grabbed the belt, while the ref blocked there view the MFERS slammed Rey and now Matt got back in the ring as Cole screamed. Matt jumped off the top as it looked like Matt was going to steal another match as he hit the leg drop from the top rope and REY KICKED OUT! The place went insane like Austin just returned.
To be FAIR it absolutely looked like the match was going to be over.
Mysterio then rolled up Matt with all he had left after Matt waited for a few moments in shock and got the three as he hooked the legs. He wins with the roll-up and celebrates with his wife crying at ringside in his home state and his son Dominic who we would unfortunately know a little better in two years from this match… :side: were ALL THERE.
Rey holds him on his shoulders with the belt.
Beyond the crowd support, the TV match, the family, the emotion it was the story telling of Rey finally getting the gold from Matt and doing everything it took to get there. He did it not only in convincing fashion but amazing fashion.
One of the better title matches in Smackdown history, a true gem and a borderline classic in the summer of 2003 here!
A borderline classic in the making, such a gem.

# 55 – Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Rob Van Dam -WWF Smackdown! September 4 2001
?
Van Damn was extremely over here.
Austin is Austin.
In 2001 he was beyond impressive.
This should be a good match just a month before their triple threat with Angle at No Mercy, A battle between the Alliance.
The title is not on the line.
Austin had a ton of gems with the likes of Spike and Benoit on Smackdown! At least SOME 2001 match with Austin is being shown in its entirety here.
Stone Cold Steve Austin walked out as a tweener of sorts since so many liked him still. Austin was the leader of the Alliance and Federation Champion.
Austin wasted no time getting things going stomping on Rob Van Dam softening him up for No Mercy later on. The Rattlesnake stomped a mudhole in RVD in the corner before taking off his vest. Austin choked Rob out on the ropes. Austin with a reverse chinlock but the fans chanting for Van Dam. Rob Van Dam kept getting choked out. “What” chants were heard as RVD hit a spinning heel kic on Steve. Austin desperate charged at RVD in the corner but he fought back with spin kicks until Austin poked the eyes. Austin with a kneeshot to the kidney of Rob Van Dam. Austin chopped RVD and ran into a reverse elbow from Van Dam on the top. With RVD going up top Stone Cold shoved him off to the barricade. Austin dragged RVD by the hair and then on the outside tossed him over the barricade. Austin with RVD on the floor continued to brawl until a high kick by Rob Van Dam takes Austin over the barricade. RVD sends Austin’s head into the table. Rob Van Dam throws the Champ back in the ring. Austin rolls out and goes to work on RVD once more. Austin with RVD sends him headfirst to the post. Austin doing anything he can to retain the title grabbed Rob Van Dam by the hair and drove him head first to the steps.
Stone Cold used his boot choking out Rob Van Dam on the floor.
The fans get on Austin. Stone Cold hooks the leg in th ering but Rob Van Dam kicks out. Rob Van Dam is set up on the top rope by Austin but he chops back after RVD hit a thumb to the eye. Rob Van Dam is superplexed off the very top by Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Austin was methodical in working on the kidney area of Van Dam. Austin held his ground while RVD fought back. Rob Van Dam goes for a dropkick but Steve uses the top rope for leverage and then he kicks RVD.
Austin was such a smart champion.
Rob Van Dam is choked out some more on the middle rope by Austin. Stone Cold on the floor chokes Rob on the bottom rope before taking him to the entrance way. Rob Van Dam suplexes Austin onto the steel ramp reversing an initial suplex attempt by Austin.
The Rattlesnake gets bac up and hits RVD with a stiff clothesline and then sends him into the barriade.
What a brutal war.
Austin in the ring drops Van Dam with an impactful clothesline. Austin runs into a dropkick from RVD as a counter of the Stunner.
Rob Van Dam hits a rolling thunder but Austin lifted his knees stopping Van Dam.
Stone Cold grabs a chair.
Austin comes in th ering and Rob Van Dam hits the Van Daminator to Steve with the chair in front of his eyes. Rob Van Dam climbs to the top but Austin countered dropping RVD up high.
An incredible pace.
RVD pushes Austin off the top but he is waiting for him and he hits the Stunner.
Austin decided not to finish him with the Stunner but with the Anke Lock.
Angle’s music hits distracting Austin and RVD rolls up Austin getting the three at 9:58.
Absolutely unbelievable action here.
Austin was showing why 2001 is one of the best individual years for any performer.
Such a crisp tv match with a hot crowd. Both guys were on their “A” Game.

# 50 – Team Angle vs Tajiri and Eddie Guerrero (c) for the WWE Tag Team Championship -WWE Smackdown! May 29, 2003
Some fine tag action here.
Two quick agile teams getting things going here.
Just a number of reversals here. Tajiri and Shelton got things going and weardown holds were kept to a minimum due to both teams beind very capable of pulling things off. Both men hit a thrust kick and drop one another down.
Back from a break Tajiri hits a kick but Team Angle begins to target the knee of Tajiri which becomes the focus. Haas was an expert and taking out the leg of Tajiri. Eddie clapped from the apron encouraging Tajiri on while Haas had the leglock.
Looking to isolate Tajiri a kneegrip into a tag from Shelton and he drops on Tajiri’s knee. This was smart as it took out the leg of Tajiri preventing a thrust kick.
Shelton with a modified leglock focusing more on the leg of Tajiri while Eddie Guerrer waited desperately on the apron for a hot tag. Charlie stomped on Tajiri and now a halfcrab from Haas.
Eddie Guerrero has seen enough and be broke up the submission.
Shelton with no tag made came in and applied a Boston Crab to Tajiri. A very sound strategy to Tajiri. Haas drops the elbow on Tajiri before he could make a tag.
A form of an Indian Deathlock by Haas to Tajiri as the legwork had already sustained a tremendous amount of punishment. Shelton springs into the ring from the outside apron dropping on Tajiri.
Somehow out of no where Tajri hit a spinnng headscissors and Eddie Guerrero made the hot tag. Eddie dropped Haas. A monkey flip to Haas and now Eddie cleared house.
Eddie Guerrero with a vertial suplex to Haas. Eddie Guerrero with another one.
Eddie Guerrero hits a frogsplash to Haas but Shelton saves the match. Haas holds up Eddie and Shelton hits a thrust kick and a nearfall.
Great match thus far. A counter by Eddie Guerrero into a ddt but he needed to make the tag. An inziguri by Tajiri with the good leg to the back of the head of Haas.
A tornado ddt is countered by Haas with a suplex with a bridge. Haas gets a two. Shelton is dropped to the floor by Eddie.
Tajiri hits a thrust kick to Haas with the good leg after he ducked a clothesline. Eddie launched himself to the outside onto Shelton.
Tajiri is taken out by Haas as he torks the bad knee back and he if forced to tap.
The bell rings but the official claims he did not ring the bell.
Eddie and Haas fight for the title, Haas wins behind the official and Eddi lays down. The official calls for the bell. Eddie cheated to win at 12:17.
Phenominal psychology and workrate.
Eddie is just Eddie, and everything else was perfect.

# 43 – Eddie Guerrero vs JBL (c) for the WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match -WWE Smackdown! July 15, 2004
?
JBL talks about how Eddie Guerrero was the greastest Mexican Wrestler of all time, I personally don`t see how that could be debated.
JBL was the WWE Champion at this point in time as he recently and shockingly won the title at the GAB in a bull-rope match over Eddie.
This was a return match for the title on Smackdown! in a Cage.
JBL with a ton of heat of course and Eddie Guerrero with a great ovation of course.
Eddie Guerrero with a kick to JBL, some chops and a poke to the eye as he was fired up but the Champion threw Eddie soon afterwards towards the cage, when Eddie Guerrero retaliated, JBL’s power and strength threw Eddie Guerrero off his game as he blocked a potential shot towards the side of the Cage.
Everyone knew this would be a great match, Cole said he felt Guerrero was going to win back the title in this match here tonight. Then again, I don’t really think it matters too much what Micheal Cole thinks.
Eddie Guerrero could win this match by escaping the match threw the door, over the top to the outside, or by pinfall or submission, those were the ways he could win this match and become the New WWE Champion yet again.
They definitely tried to build this bout up where as if Eddie could win the belt back likely to keep TV viewers tuned in. JBL looked concerned the door was chained and locked shut, another match showing just how over Eddie Guerrero truely was in the finals years of his career.
Eddie hit a back suplex to Bradshaw, then Eddie ducked a boot by Bradshaw as he picked up Eddie Guerrero and bounced him head first into the cage. JBL after his first high impact move against the cage began to climb and Eddie Guerrero grabbed a leg.
Eddie pulled JBL’s tights down and then he kicked at him and gave him some hard shots. Eddie with a few right hands and then gets irishwhipped by a more powerful Bradshaw who picks up Eddie and hits a fall away slam. A nice impact move by the WWE Champion. JBL then tried to climb out after saying enough of this, JBL then got one leg out and Eddie hung on desperately.
Eddie kept the Champion in the cage and then with both guys on the top rope, JBL with a hard shot and then some into the ribs of Guerrero, Eddie though sent JBL ribs first into the steel. Eddie had the chance to perhaps win the match but he went for a high risk move to easily put JBL away with a frog splash but JBL wisely moved out of the way. Both men down and they chant for Eddie. Bradshaw then began climbing the side of the cage and Eddie followed up behind him and grabbed the leg of JBL who fell down hard in the groin region and he is holding his hamstring. Eddie Guerrero with a nearfall.
JBL just managed to survive in this match. Eddie with a huge right hand to JBL and then an elbow to the back of the head. JBL favoring the hamstring as Eddie Guerrero applied a vertical suplex, and now Eddie Guerrero spinned the hips as he went for the three amigo’s, dos and now numero three was attempted and he hit it. Eddie Guerrero to his feet and the confidence was building. Eddie Guerrero out to the apron, went to the top rope but Eddie Guerrero got knocked off balance by JBL. Bradshaw with some solid right hands and met Eddie Guerrero on the top of the turnbuckle and hit a monster superplex that had to hurt, JBL may have injured himself as well in the process.
Back from a commercial, JBL is dominating Eddie.
Eddie Guerrero hit a dropkick to JBL from out no where after Bradshaw may have been going for a clothesline from hell. Eddie with a kick to the groin, the low blow is of course legal in a Cage match and got a nearfall. Eddie Guerrero then continued up with right hands to JBL in the corner but Eddie got reversed into the corner and whipped across the ring into a corner and then was planted by a hard Spinebuster by the reigning WWE Champion, JBL. Eddie chants as JBL tried to get out of the cage, Eddie prevented it and played defense and hit a Russian Leg Sweep off the top rope to JBL and both men hit hard to the mat. You put yourself at risk with a move like that, Eddie Guerrero showed he wanted to leave Providence, Rhode Island with the title. Eddie Guerrero with a couple of right hands to JBL and then he got reversed off the side ropes from Bradshaw and JBL held the sleeper in hard.
JBL used his tape around the throat of Eddie to choke him out while in this sleeper and Eddie Guerrero began to fade from JBL’s power until he ran in circles which forced JBL’s weight off of him into the side of the cage, Eddie Guerrero spinned with momnentum which sprung JBL into the side of the cage to release the choke hold, a nice veteran move by Eddie Guerrero. Eddie sling shotted JBL into the cage face first and Eddie got a two count. Eddie couldn’t pin JBL with the three count as he kept getting up but Eddie hit him with some forearms to the head and an elbow drop to the head. Eddie charged towards JBL but he back dropped him to the steel, Eddie bumped hard off the side of the cage. JBL showing he could adapt in any kind of environment to protect his title, so good story telling. Eddie Guerrero just managed to kick outsomehow. Eddie with a couple of hard shots to JBL and then he bounced off the side ropes with a hard clothesline from hell! Amazing. Somehow Eddie Guerrero kicked out! The clothesline from hell was devistating enough but the fact Eddie Guerrero kicked out was even better.
Last commercial break after that and we didn’t miss anything as JBL started to leave the cage. Eddie though got up and prevented him from going up over the top to the outside. An elbow from the top from JBL to Eddie. JBL tossed him over to the middle of the ring. JBL scooped up Eddie and then went for a fall away slam into the side of the cage as he smiled sadistically but Eddie Guerrero saved himself from that predicament with a nice DDT counter to JBL hard into the mat but Bradshaw just kicked out. Eddie then looked to the crowd and the challenger tried to escape the cage!
Eddie is at the top of the cage while JBL had followed him up there.

Eddie is at the top of the cage while JBL had followed him up there.
JBL realized his championship was in jeopardy but JBL caught him with right hands at the top, Eddie was bent half way over the top of the cage and then sat up at the top as JBL’s power brought him back into the inside. JBL slammed Eddie’s head into the side of the cage. JBL then set up Eddie Guerrero for a powerbomb. JBL hit a vicious powerbomb to Eddie who’s back buckled, big size difference here, even still Eddie Guerrero found a way to kick out.
This has been some fantastic material, I can definately see why it was added to “Vivalaraza” this is a true gem.
Eddie Guerrero caught up to JBL despite the powerbomb and pinning attempt and stopped JBL up top frome escaping the cage and Eddie hit with shoulders to the gut. Eddie Guerrero had a chance to leave the cage and win the Champonship but he looked back at JBL realizing all the things he did to him.
Eddie chants filled the arena.
15 feet high, Eddie leaped off with a frog splash to JBL from top of the Cage!
Awesome!
Eddie Guerrero then looked to be in serious pain after a Frog Splash from the very top of the Steel Cage to JBL after what was already an epic Cage match. Unbelievable. To think I had actually forgotten all about this match.
Truly excellent.
Eddie Guerrero had hurt himself as much as Bradshaw so tooka good 30-40 seconds to pin JBL so it bought him some time to kick out of the Splash. Eddie Guerrero could not capitalize.
Eddie Guerrero got to his feet slowly asking on the audience for encouragment but turned around right into a hard DDT from Bradshaw.
Tazz said it right when he said “What a match!” He usually says that in every big match but he was definately right here, for TV this is incredible material. It was a race as Eddie Guerrero chased JBL to the top of the cage. Both men in a familar spot brawling from the top of the cage which always makes for a good Climax.
All of the sudden a masked man ran down to the cage jumped up and grabbed Eddie Guerrero preventing him from leaving the Cage. There is no DQ so there is nothing the ref could do about it. JBL retained the title by escaping the cage. It was supposed to be a luchador who did this but it would turn out to be Kurt Angle to set up there feud for Summerslam.
What an amazing encounter.
Unbelievable really, truly underrated.

# 40- Kurt Angle vs Undertaker (c) for the WWE Undisputed Championship -WWE Smackdown! July 4, 2002
?
?
The Undertaker worked well with guys like Angle and Hart as seen from several classics in 97, 03 and 06.
Here is a rare meeting from the Summer of 2002 a month before both guys competed in a Classic triple threat with The Rock at Vengeance.
The Undertaker with a big shoulder knockdown taking Angle to the outside.
Once back in Angle for frustrated wit how Taer kept out-wreestling him.
Angle goes into a front facelock. The Undertaker gets out of tht anc once again The Undertaker goes for a walk.
Angle hops around nd now The Undertaker slaps an arm-ringer on Angle and off the ropes Angle hit a series of arm drags. The Undertaker dropped Angle for Snake Eyes.
The Undertaker grabs Angle by the throat but Angle counters taking him down.
Both men were down on the mat.
Kurt Angle dropped The Undertaker with a suplex and a nearfall.
Angle dishes out a right to The Undertaker and then more in the corner. Angle chokes out The Undertaker in the corner with his boot.

The Undertaker goes for a Tombstone but Angle counters it into an Angle Lock dragging The Undertaker to the middle of the ring. The Undertaker flipped Amgle off and delivered a boot.
An Angle Slam outo of no where and The Undertaker still kicks out.
Angle drops the straps meaning business now.
Angle goes for the Ankle Lock.
The Undertaker gets out and hits Angle with a Chokeslam but Kurt kics out. The Undertaker signals for the last ride.
The Undertaker picks up Angle and as he lifts him Angle grabs a choke on The Undertaker with a leglock in a triangle choke, however Angle`s shoulders were still on the mat.
Both men trying to get out.
The Undertaker pinned Angle while The Undertaker taps out to the triangle choke at 9:37.
Fans chant BULLSHIT as their is no official winner.
In the end the official wasn`t sure who won the match. Eventually they decide the match is a draw therefore The Undertaker is still the Champion.
It’s unfortunate they didn’t slap on their 2003 Classic but that is already on The Undertaker’s DVD.
This match here was pretty great but consisted of spots rather then real psychology.
While this is by no means a Classic, I have no idea why much worse matches are ranked above this one on the count-down.

# 35 – Rock ‘n Sock Connection vs the New Age Outlaws (c) for the World Tag Team Championship -WWF Smackdown! 10/14/1999
?
Apparently this could be the last time Rock teams up with Foley according to Foley.
Mick gets on the mic and says Rock and Sock will never die. Rock`s music hits and he comes out to an amazing ovation.
The Rock begins in the ring with Mr. Ass the man he faced in a dreadful match at Summerslam of this year. Rock and Gunn lock up.
Rock`s side headlock lasts awhile before he runs into Gunn with a shoulder block. Gunn legsweeps Rock and a reversal to the ropes lets Rock clothesline Gunn.
Rock lays the Smackdown! on Gunn in the corner. The Rock is hit with a reverse neckbreaker by Mr. Ass. Rock and Road Dogg fight and Foley comes in.
the official has lost control as brawling takes place all over.
Mankind drops Road Dogg once he is tagged in. Foley dishes out jabs and danced around to the delight of the crowd. Road Dogg dropped Mankind with a lowblow. Road Dogg with a big right and now a shake rattle and roll to Mick.
Road Dogg gets behind Mankind and gives him some Doggeystyle treatment until Rock comes and clotheslines him down.
Rock back in hammering away on Road Dogg. Rock sent Road Dogg to the ropes and he scores with a big fist. Rock has Road Dogg run into a reverse elbow shot. Road Dogg and Mankind are the legal men and both clothesline one another down.
Gunn tags himself in and hits a piledriver, Rock breaks up the count. The Outlaws stomp on Foley with double team offense. Both men kick at Foley in the corner until Road Dogg is left as the legal man. Road Dogg takes the leg out of Foley and a dropkick to the side of the head. Fans chant for The Rock despite being on the ring apron.
Outlaws try and isolate Foley as they wear him down in the coner. Gunn with shots to Foley until he sends him in the corner. Gunn meets nobody home in the corner, Mick hits a runnung bulldog. Rock tries for the hot tag.
Mankind tries to reach Rock but Gunn hoolds Foley. Mankind makes the tag and Rock cleans house. Rock drops Road Dogg and Mr. Ass with a Rock Bottom. Road Dogg broke the count sending Rock outside the ring.
Mankind connected with a ddt to Gunn and the crowd thought it was three. Just a two but Mankind grabs a sock and slaps it on Road Dogg. Referee Hebner knocked down.
Gunn hits the Fameasser on Mankind but no official.
Hardcore Holly who was getting a push at the time lays out Gunn with the Hardcore title and we have new tag champs as Manind covers him at 8:45.
Very fun tag match,

# 30 -John Cena (debut tv match) vs Kurt Angle June 27, 2002 -WWE Smackdown!
Going toe to toe with a guy at the top of his game like Kurt wasn’t easy.
But that’s why the company saw potential in Cena.
Vince McMahon introduces Kurt Angle first and builds him up quite well.
John Cena was all about Ruthless Agression as he says on the mic to Kurt Angle.
That`s what the WWE was looking for. Angle talks about how he beat Hogan and Taker and now he was on top of his game. Angle was mad at the fact they think he still sucks.
John Cena comes out and no one knew what really to expect. Angle afterall issued an open challenge to anyone he hasn`t faced before.
The bell rings and we`re underway in a major way.
Kurt Angle and Cena engage in a slugfest. Cena hit a huge right before a back drop. Cena clotheslined Angle with a ton of power over to the floor.
Cena continued to impress and Angle put Cena in the Ankle Lock but John countered. Angle hit a release German on Cena and he went flying.
Angle hits another German to the rookie. Angle hits a vertical suplex to the rookie.
?
?
?
With Cena down Angle was feeling it.
Angle drops a hard forearm onto Cena. Angle goes for a waistlock but Cena countered it int a roll-up and he got a two. Angle fights back at Cena in the corner.
Angle stomps on Cena. Angle suplexes Cena again and somehow he gets the shoulder up. Kurt Angle with a front facelock on Cena wearing him down on the mat.
Cena starts to fight back with catches Angle offguard not expecting some a push from a rookie but this was no rookie.
Kurt Angle is rolled up in a pinning predicament but Cena fights back. Angle corners him stomping away. This was a future star.
Kurt Angle continues to hold Cena on the mat out-wrestling the Rookie.
Cena baled back hitting a flying forearm off the ropes followed by the shoulderblock. Cena ducks a clothesline and drops Angle with a ddt.
Cena still can`t put Angle but out of the corner on an inside cradle he gets a two. Another two.
Despite Cena`s effots Angle suplexes Angle and gets the win in a hard fought match at 5:46 with no commercials.
Cena smiles as he is the real deal.
Cena puts out his hand but Angle refuses to shake it getting Cena over. Cena reminds Angle he was this close.
Cena would beat Jericho at Vengeance on Pay Per View not long after this.
This match made Cena look good because he dould go toe to toe with a pro like Angle.

# 25 – Stephanie McMahon & Zack Gowen vs Big Show (Handicap match) -WWE Smackdown! 7/03/2003
Here we have a strange mixed tag match with the man with one leg teaming with the Boss’s daughter taking on the biggest Athlete in the world.
The bell rings and we’re underway.
Vince McMahaon and his assistant Sable sat at ringside for this one clapping for Show as he (Vince) was in a feud with poor Zack Gowen at the time.
Cole put over how unfair it was since they were to fight this monster.
The Big Show begins the match tossing Zack Gowen and his one leg to the mat.
On the outside Zack Gowen with one leg hits a dropkick on Show after Stephanie tried choking Show out but couldn`t. Zack Gowen is tossed over the ropes to the canvas as Show shows his amazing power.
Show scooups up Steph and slams here back in the mat. Show lays out Zack Gowen some more. Show picks up Stephanie with a Choke hold.
Vincde tells Show he may be going too far. Then he instrcuts Show to throw her!
Gold. Zack Gowen to the rescue cropkicks Show. However Zack Gowen is picked up by Show and he drops him with a chokeslam.
MCMahon is in the ring and he choked out Zack Gowen. Stephanie stands up to her dad and slaps Vince. Big Show waits from behind and chokeslams Stephanie untl she drops to her feet.
Angle runs out for the save and drops Show with an Ankle Lock. Vince grabs a chair and smacks Angle.
Lesnar runs out and F5`s Vince this but Show breaks it up.
Crazy action. This was before Lesnar turned heel, something I saw live a month later on Smackdown! Angle hits an Angle slam on Show.
Lesnar hits an F5 now on Show to even the odds.
Vince is furious with Angle and Lesnar. Zack Gowen from the top hits a top rope moonsault on Show getting the three on Show.
Vince is mad.
The finish came at 4:36 with no commercials.
Some fun fast paced action here.

# 22 – Kurt Angle (c) vs Brock Lesnar in an Ironman Match for the WWE Championship September 18, 2003
?
-This was Ironman match is clipped, obviously. The series was tied and Lesnar was looking to become a three time Champion,
because of length issues they don`t show the whole match and just the highlights from the hour.
This was a Classic confrontation. The full version will be an upcoming DVD release, I believe the top stars of this century.
Since I don’t review Clipped matches I will certainly tell you it’s a classic from the 2003 trilogy together.
I have Wrestlemania X9 at **** 1/2
I have Summerslam 03 (their best) at **** 1/2
This is third best.
Lesnar wins five falls to four in an amazing display of endurance and power.
The Climax was wonderful, this was one of the best Ironman matches ever done.
Brock won the WWE title during the match for a third time in just over a year. Incredble.
Angle had the Ankle Lock on Brock in the closing seconds but the current MMA Fighter WOULD NOT GIVE and thus won the match.
Again I don’t review the clipped stuff but my thoughts on the match I still will share. Star rating for this match

Brilliant.
Rock dropped his finisher the Peoples Elbow before posing with the belt.

# 18- Billy and Chuck (W/Rico) (c) vs Hulk Hogan and Edge for the Tag Team Championship -WWE Smackdown! July 4th 2002
?
It’s Independance in the US of A on Smackdown! as Edge teams with his idol Hogan. This was the same night Angle took on Undertaker earlier on the Smackdown! set.
This match has made it to way too many dvd sets.
Anyways onto the match.
Hulk Hogan slammed Chuck to the corner and he posed, Tazz said he better not tell him to kiss his ass, as he might do it.
Clever.
Chuck Palumbo with hard shots to the most popular wrestler of all time. Chuck with a powerslam, but Hogan got up and he landed right hands to Chuck, off the ropes Hogan hit a clothesline. Hogan with an elbow to the sternum twice, and then a boot across the face to Chuck.
Billy Gunn tagged in and he had almot X-Pac heat by this time. Micheal Cole calls him maybe the best tag wrestler ever, ugh.
Hogan landed a shot as did Edge from the corner.
Edge then flattened Billy Gunn with a hard shot. Edge to the ropes leaped over Gunn and flattened him dropping him back first. Edge then with hard shots to Gunn, but out of no where Gunn hit a clothesline to Edge.
Billy Gunn stomped on Edge and delivered blows, tagged in Chuck as he dominated Edge some more, Gunn tagged in again working over Edge as the tandem were isolating him in the corner.
Your standard tag-team formula here.
Gunn in mid-ring hit a vertical suplex in mid-ring to Edge.
Chuck with a hard right hand to Edge. Chuck kicked at a fatigued Edge and then scoop slammed him.
Fans chanted for Hogan.
Chuck tossed Edge over the ropes, Gunn came in with a front facelock. Gunn clotheslined Edge down, and then Edge out of no where countered it in mid-air and slammed his face to the mat.
Finally Hogan comes in and does his magic, but Chuck trips him, Gunn covers and just a two. Edge from the top with a flying double clothesline.
Outside the ring Hogan dropped Rico groin first on the barricade, and out of no where hit Billy with a spear.
Edge then dropped a leg on top of him, just like his idol had done so many times. Hogan did the same, the cover and new tag champs!
The place erupts.
In the end on Independence Day (even though it was filmed earlier) Edge and Hogan wore patriotic colors (even though Edge is Canadian) by winning the titles after Edge and Hogan both hit the legdrop after one another.
Decent, but way too typical, and very sloppy wrestling by everyone in the match but Edge.
So nothing very good here at all, it also dragged WAY too much in the middle.

Arnold layed out Hunter on Smackdown then celebrated with the Rattlesnake drinking a few beers.

# 13 – Jeff Hardy vs Triple H (c) For the WWF Intercontinental Championship -WWF Smackdown! April 12, 2001
?
?
Obviously with a younger Jeff they wouldn’t put on the Classic they did in 2008 at No Mercy but this was still very solid for a tv match.
Triple H was already established as the man despite holding the IC title which he helped add prestige.
Hardy going over Hunter would be considered a MAJOR upset.
Triple H wasted no time attacking the challenger as the bell rings.
Triple H with rights and kicks to Hardy in the corner. A big fist to Jeff and then another. The game lays out Jeff and drops a hand on his throat.
Nobody gave Jeff a chance he despite being incredibally over. Triple H throws Jeff to the outside. Jeff off the ropes hits a headscissors on Hunter and follows it up with dropkicks.
Hunter kicks at the Jeff going for the Pedigree but he split the legs of Hunter and dropped doen on his groin scoring nearfall. Jeff up top threw shots while the crowd was right their with him.
Jeff kicks him out and hits a corkscrew moonsault.
Awesome pace here.
Jeff Hardy with an irishwhip to the Game.
Jeff Hardy is elevated to the outside of the ring by Triple H.
Out on the floor Hunter who was in his absolute prime went to send Jeff into the steps but Hardy retaliated sending Hunter smash into the steps.
A high risk launch off the barricade but Hunter countered in mid-air driving him to the concrete floor.
Triple H is sent into the barricade and Jeff attempts another high risk move off the apron but once AGAIN Triple H counters in mid-air catching Hardy and powerslamming him on the concrete.
Triple H sends Jeff hard into the steps.
Triple H throws Jeff back inside and as said the pace has been fantastic. Jeff fights back in the ring with determination and desperation but off the ropes Hunter lands a high knee. Triple H could of put away Jeff but he elects to inflict more punishment on Jeff. The Game gets solid heel heat driving Jeff into the buckle. Off the ropes Hunter catches Jeff in a headlock wearing him down. Until now the pace has been fantastic a weardown hold was only inevitable. Jeff fights back with a jawbreaker buying himself some time. Jeff Hardy up to his feet hits a Side Russian legsweep. Triple H is down and Jeff goes up to the top for a high risk aerial move where he excels. Hunter resourcefully shoved the official into the ropes and it makes Jeff lose balance. Tim White shoved Hunter and he shoved him back.
The Cerebral Assasin had seen enough.
With Hunter up top attempting a Superplex on Jeff Hardy, Matt run out behind the official.
Matt stikes Hunter with the Steel Chair.
Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb.
New Champion! Stephanie backstage is shocked, Hunter is irate.
What an upset.
Jeff wins a Classic TV match at 8:42 with no commercials which was probably the best part.
Honestly as far as pacing goes, these two went all out. The underdog story was done to perfection, Triple H in his absolute prime helped matters even more.
This is pretty amazing.

# 12 -Champion Chairman September 16, 1999
-This was not one of the finer moments in Sports Entertainment.
Austin a long time foe of McMahon helped Vince become Champion by screwing Triple H who he had been feuding with at the time.
Thankfully Hunter won it back in a Six Pack Challenge at Unforgiven 1999 a week or two later. It’s ranked so high because who would of thought Vince McMahon would ever be WWF Champion let alone win a Royal Rumble, hell he didn’t even like being known as the owner of the company before 1997.

# 8 – Edge vs Eddie Guerrero in a NO DQ Match -WWE Smackdown! September 26, 2002
?
Edge said he will NEVER forget the match here in San Diego. Eddie has stitches in his head when Edge saw him at the airport and they both admitted it was worth it due to the classsic they put on.
Get ready for brutality at its very finest!
Eddie as a HEEL got a standing ovation after this match and Edge points out how rare it was for an antagonist to get that kind of reception. He looked defated but he still got up and bloodied, and you can not help but respect that.
Here we go!
One of the better tv matches in history for Smackdown!
Edge and Eddie had great chemistry, it was no secret as they provided a ton of classsic’s together over time.
This was one of them if not the very best and the fact it happened in Smackdown during the time with the Super Six, with a hot crowd, a lot of energy and gimmick like NO DQ was icing on the cake!
Eddie Guerrero and Edge in a NO DQ Classic from Late 02 on Smackdown! This is going to be good which could very well be the understatement of the century.
Micheal Cole says the conclusion of a tremendous rivalry and what a way to go out, and on TV to boot! (As mentioned)
Edge was mega over here and it is a shame he got injured in early 2003.
Eddie Guerrero tied up with Edge and high intensity to begin. In the last few matches on this DVD set with RVD, the Hardyz, I talked about how fast the pacing was, well this match should be even faster. These two wrestle with brilliant psychology but you must remember this was a heated rivalry so both men were vicious and wanted to destroy the other, especially with the NO DQ stipulation.
Eddie Guerrero attacked him with forearm shots and then sent him to the ropes and met Edge with a reverse elbow show up high.
Eddie Guerrero with a side headlock, Edge sent him to the ride and Eddie hit a shoulderblock, off the ropes with a leapfrog and Edge ducked, then hit a monkey flip to Eddie Guerrero. Nice. Edge cornered Eddie and Eddie Guerrero tried to rake the eyes. Edge with an armbar to Eddie Guerrero. Tazz doing color always helps, he understands psychology like the best of them. The crowd was all over Eddie as he cornered Edge and kicked at him. Edge with his head on the middle rope and Eddie Guerrero flew over the top and hit his head on the middle rope. Eddie Guerrero got a nearfall as Edge kicked out. Eddie Guerrero asked for the crowd to say what they felt and they booed. This bought Edge time to send Eddie Guerrero to the ropes and hit a back body drop. Edge grounded Eddie Guerrero with a dropkick. Eddie Guerrero got slammed by Edge and then recieved an elbow to the sternum and Edge got a two.
Edge sticked with a left armbar to Edge and pulled the hair of Eddie Guerrero to keep the intensity up, even though he was a babyface. Eddie kicked at Edge and with a spinning heel kick to Edge.
Latino Heat is so smart, and you want to talk about back and forth action. Eddie Guerrero kicked at Edge and proved how cocky he was by jumping around the ring with shots to Edge. Eddie Guerrero with a quick snapshot vertical suplex then a nearfall. Eddie Guerrero with a headlock to Edge. Fantastic pacing and booking so far in this bout, the back and forth material worked extremely well.
That was a huge plus for the beginning stages as they set the stage perfectly.
Edge needed to get to his feet and with San Diego cheering him on he battled out with elbows to Edge, a hand full of hair by Eddie Guerrero, but a forearm by Edge, Edge with an irishwhip to Eddie Guerrero and he hit him with a back bodyslam. Edge needed some time to regain his composure, went to the top tope but a little too slow as Eddie met him up there and hit a nice superplex from the top rope! Eddie got a nearfall!
Amazing action here. Both men had been hurt before the match and now it was taking its toll on both guys in this one. Eddie Guerrero with intensity, viciously kicked at the leg of Edge. Eddie Guerrero picked Edge up and gave him a forearm. Edge threw Eddie Guerrero to the ropes, Edge looked to be in trouble as Eddie went to the top of him and looked for a possible Hurricanrauna but Edge tossed him out.
Edge pulled out the Ladder!
The fans erupt and Edge brings the ladder and went to hit Eddie Guerrero with the Ladder face first but he ducked at the last moment and Edge hit the ref! Eddie Guerrero grabbed a chair under the ring and gave Edge a hard shot into the back! Eddie Guerrero now outsmarted Edge in that prediament and then threw Edge back into the ring and with a steel chair in hand he went to hit Edge with a chair and he caught the ribs. Tazz mentioned he hit the face of Edge last week and now he attacked the ribs. Eddie Guerrero felt froggy and went up top after those vicious chairshots to Edge and he went for a frogsplash but missed! This bought Edge some time to regain his composure and make this another back and forth tilt, we usually see spots like this in Pro-Wrestling in the middle of matches. This allows the superstars to get back in the match so it is not so one sided and in a hardcore environment, it is definately vital they do just that and booking certainly comes into play here and it of course was tremendous in this bout.
Edge moved out of the way avoiding the Eddie Guerrero frogsplash. The ref is down. Both men down and they went to a commercial break in what has been in an unbelievable physical match. Keota came out as the new ref and Cole put over how it was still non-stop during the break.
Edge got whipped to the ropes and Eddie caught him with a sleeper.
Eddie leaped on Edge and had control of him now grounding him.
This match has been a roller-coaster ride and the biggest strength was how believable the story telling was mixed with the in-ring chemistry. Eddie Guerrero kicked out of a spear during the break. Edge then ran off the side ropes and caught Eddie Guerrero with a running bulldog and a nearfall! Wow. Edge thought he had him.
What a battle.
Edge up in the corner with Eddie down but Eddie Guerrero caught him as he took too much time. The leg scissors from the top rope by Eddie Guerrero but Edge kicked out and now Eddie Guerrero looked like he was going to snap. Neither man would give in. Eddie Guerrero with hard forearm shots to Edge and then he leaped up to the top rope looking for a DDT but Edge with a counter in mid-air hitting a sitdown powerbomb to Eddie Guerrero damaging his neck! Unreal material here. Eddie and his neck were in trouble.
Edge looking to take advantage outside the ring grabbed a ladder and put it in the ring with Eddie Guerrero. Guerrero countered with a dropkick to Edge holding the ladder out of desperation. Both Eddie and Edge had history in Ladder matches. One ladder in the ring already, but Eddie Guerrero grabbed another one and put it in the ring. Everyone on the edge of there seet for this one as Eddie Guerrero slammed Edge down. Eddie Guerrero in this back and forth bout took advantage of Edge wiht a couple of forearm shots and Edge landed hard on the ladder, wow!
Speaking of WOW! Eddie then springboarded from the outside on top of Edge who was planted between two ladders. Eddie chants filled the air, beautiful.
Eddie Guerrero had sacrificed his own body to gain the upperhand and this was Latino country so it was understanable the respect for Eddie Guerrero. Eddie set up a Ladder in the corner and Edge was down, you wonder what would happen next. Eddie Guerrero was going to fly off the top but Edge met Eddie on the top of the ladder up there, both men at the top punch for punch, Eddie slammed Edge and his head against the ladder and he had concussion problems. Eddie with a sunsetflip from one side of the ladder to Edge off the other and he powerbombed Edge. That has to be it! But no! Edge kicked out! Respect shown for Eddie with the chants as that was absolutely incredible, words can not describe that.
Tazz was getting goosebumps and quite frankly I am too, I just love this match.
Eddie Guerrero followed it up with throwing Edge into the ladder and as Eddie charged towards Edge he back dropped him and his back hit the ladder. Tazz was speechless, this was beyond a classic at this point. Edge had Eddie Guerrero down and this rivlary got to the point where it was beyond personal now. Edge suddenly found himself in the driver seat and climbed up a ladder in the corner. Eddie Guerrero with a shot to the kidney, Eddie climbed in the corner and both men are spent. Both men battled on the top of the ladder and Edge gave Eddie a taste of his own medicine with shots to the head on the top of the ladder!
Edge then with an Edge-A-Cution on Eddie from the top of the ladder and he won!
UNBELIEVABLE Classic.
One of the best matches in the history of Smackdown! Nothing but quality. Eddie was busted open and as mentioned got a standing ovation despite being a heel after the match.
The spirit of competion has never been displayed better on TV. Not about titles, about who the better man was and both these guys left it in the ring and wrestled a fantastic match with some bumps and counters unmatched by other ones.
They show the ovation for Eddie which is just unbelievable.
One of the best moments in the history of Smackdown!

# 3 – The Rock vs Triple H (c) (With Chyna) for the WWF Championship With Special Referee- Shawn Michaels -WWF Smackdown! August 26, 1999
?
I remember this as the main event of the first “official” Smackdown! in September. Not the April edition with red ropes that had Steve Austin and The Rock taking on Hunter and Taker in the tag main event. That match has over 4 million views on youtube. Amazing.
Hunter had won the title the Raw before this for the first time in his career. This was Triple H defending the title for the first time in his life against one of his biggest rivals.
Rock and Hunter had bad blood. Both men brawled with one another. Hunter sent Rock into the corner but he went for a Rock Bottom, Triple H countered but Rock hit a backbody drop after countering the Pedigree.
A back and forth contest until they take things to the floor. Your typical attitude era brawl tv match.
Chyna comes out but Michaels orders her away and Hunter is furious. Rock hits a ddt on The Game but Michaels took his time telling Chyna to leave.
It is funny seeing Rock get mad at Michaels since they really did have personal heat non-kayfabe.
Shane runs out and gets some negative chants. Hunter spears Rock in the corner of the ring. The Game Triple begins to take out Rock dropping the knee to the challenger.
Fans chant for the Rock as he kicks out and Michaels gets a two. Michaels was a tweener here, at least for the time being. Hunter holds a side headlock on Rock on the canvas. Rock fights back and hits Hunter weith a hotshot but Shane distracts Michaels and he misses the pin. Rock hits a swinging neckbreaer. Triple H is hit with The Rock Bottom. Perhaps a new Champion, Rock goes for a Peoples Elbow but Michaels turns heel and Superkicks The Rock. Triple H takes advantage and hits the Pedigree to retain the title at 9:41 with no commercials.
Great match with quality, no dull moments and a nice swerve.

After 9/11 the WWE carried through and payed tribute, it was an emotional time for many.
You’ve got to give credit to the company for this show as they were the first professional organization to run an event since the attacks, something which they like to remind us all of the time of course. Why else would it be Number 1?

No Benoit vs Austin from Edmonton in May of 2001 is the worst part about this set.
This set isn’t quite on par with The Raw 15th Anniversary set due to not enough match quality and clipped events. Still, it’s a very entertaining watch worthy of owning. The biggest fault is their was a lot to be desired mostly involving The Rock and Chris Benoit who were two huge pieces to the Smackdown! puzzle. As you can see with numerous four star matches this set features a ton of quality, if affordable I suggest getting it.
When I say the term, “not bad” it is therefore not only subjective to the match and where/how/who it took place with-in, it also matters based on personal preference. For instance if a mid carder has a 5 minute match with another mid-carder and I give it * 1/2, that’s not too bad. But if say Guerrero faces Benoit on Smackdown! and it’s three stars, me saying not bad is also about the same because of the expectation level and how it has been changed. Get it?
You have some glaring inconsistencies in your ratings. You sum up one match as “not bad” (I paraphrase), giving it 3 stars. Later, you sum up another match as “not bad,” but give it 1 star. That doesn’t come across well to individuals who may be on the fence with a particular purchase, or even people who like reading reviews for other people’s opinions. Just a thought.
I own GAB 89. Definitely one of the better shows ever. We try not to review a PPV that isn’t on DVD but we can make acceptions here and this I wont rule out, especially with how good it is. Maybe in 2 weeks when I get to the Great American Bash series I’l deliver this show as well.
You should review some WCW or ECW old PPVs. My suggestions would be Heatwave 98 or GAB 89. Great PPVs right there that I’ll love to see a review of.
It’s because I want to stand out. I may not have the best grammar in places, but it’s because I’m a speed typer who loves to share details as well as opinions to make for a fun read for any wrestling fan. That’s my style and it’s not going to change. I’ve been a fan nearly three decades, on the Iwc since 1997 and reviewing since 2005.
wow, you do go very In-depth.
Yes, but the old one went to a broken link so I just re-copied this set. Up Next- World Heavyweight Title DVD and the best of Saturday Night’s Main Event
