As confirmed during the past weekend’s WrestleMania Backlash Pay-Per-View event, the WWE PPV schedule has had a little bit of a shake-up. June’s Money in the Bank event has been pushed back with Hell in a Cell on the way first instead.
Money in the Bank will be taking place in July to coincide with the return of fans (confirmed by WWE today). SummerSlam will remain in August. As for Extreme Rules, this PPV is slated to now take place post-SummerSlam.
Of course, this means some changes to the DVD releases of these PPVs.
Assuming the previously scheduled WWE DVD release dates in July and August aren’t adjusted, the PPVs within these slots will simply be reshuffled, so the upcoming Home Video schedule could now look like this in the US:
- Hell in a Cell 2021 (DVD) – July 20, 2021
- Money in the Bank 2021 (DVD) – August 17, 2021
- SummerSlam 2021 (DVD) – September 21, 2021
We have just received an updated WWE DVD schedule for the UK:
- Hell in a Cell 2021 (DVD) – August 9, 2021
- Money in the Bank 2021 (DVD) – September 6, 2021
The DVD and Blu-ray release of WrestleMania 37 is on the horizon – for fans in the United States you can expect it this coming Tuesday!
The two nights of The Show of Shows will be presented over the first two discs of the DVD and as we’ve reported, the third disc of the set will be devoted to extras from WrestleMania week.
This includes matches and segments from the RAW and SmackDown episodes leading into ‘Mania, plus content from NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. These extras will be included on the Blu-ray too.

The release to the UK and Europe, coming early next month, will include an exclusive version of the DVD and Blu-ray that includes a DVD bonus disc; “Best of RAW & SmackDown after WrestleMania”.
Just like the title suggests, this is 2 hours of additional matches and segments from the episodes of RAW and SmackDown that followed ‘Mania.

This exclusive should be easy to spot because it also features alternate artwork.

“Zombies!” There’s a theme emerging here. Does anybody remember the reference to “Ninjas!!!” on the back cover of Backlash last year? I wonder what it’ll be at Backlash 2022. Skeletons? Aliens?
I was really looking forward for ”MONEY IN THE BANK” next month. But now they’re saying it’s been pushed back again to July for fanbase reasons. Which makes no sense. They could do the same thing for ”HELL IN A CELL.
Simply because He’ll in a Cell you would never expect this early in the year. You can do so much more with it without fans from the thunderdome. It could be taken extremely far way further than if fans would be in attendance. I personally think it’s a good idea. It’s going to be brutal and hopefully bloody, good way to follow up Spiral From the book of Saw. I’m just saying. That could be another reason. I mean it would be smart to market Spiral From the book of Saw towards Hell in A Cell. That way a Hell in a Cell match could be like barbed wire ropes,or something sick like that. It would be interesting to see.
Or market Hell in a Cell towards Spiral From the book of Saw. I apologise I meant to say that.
Why can’t the things you’ve mentioned happen been before fans, I don’t follow? It’s not pre-recorded just because it’s in the Thunderdome. Fans and kids are still watching live via the Thunderdome.
this is wwe not a death match promotion and that will never happen..suggest it to aew
Eye for an eye match? I mean come on brutal matches still happen now and again. Just saying.
You thought that eye match was brutal?
The stipulation was to extract someone’s eye. I’m not going to argue with you, because I actually enjoy everything that’s been going on. To each their own I suppose.
