Earlier this week it was also revealed that the WrestleMania 28 Home Video release is now listed as “discontinued” on the HMV UK’s internal system.

For existing products on Silver Vision’s website service remains normal. The recent sales promotions are still ongoing (While Stocks Last, Tagged Classics, Stock Clearance).

WWE DVD release schedules in other regions remain unaffected.

Your individual security needs may not warrant such an extreme measure.
You might feel that such equipment would cost more than the items you need to guard.

  5. Drew says:

I really hope it is not true that Silvervision will lose the WWE license. I am unemployed and have always hoped that once I get a job I will buy a majority of the WWE DVDs (especially the Tagged Classics mostly from the Attitude Era) and Blu-rays. Considering the WWE Diva DVDs are now out of print that might have been a sign. Contract negotiations can take a long time to sort out so hopefully everything will be back to normal before we know it, if not then I hope whoever will be the UK and European distributor of WWE DVDs and Blu-rays they too will do the Tagged Classics (if they can get their hands on Silvervision’s stuff that is) without the infamous WWF Attitude logo being blurred.

    • Simon says:

Just buy a multi-region player and buy them off Amazon.com Most titles on there are cheaper than Silver Vision’s sale prices anyway, and shipping to the UK is fast and inexpensive.

  6. Lewis says:

everybody do not panic go to HMV and they will notify when wrestle mania 28 dvd is released and amazon.co.uk says that wrestle mania 28 will be released in july …SO everybody RELAX!!!!!!!!!

  7. Dave says:

I found this on PWInsider…not good news if true

“- Word is that Silvervision will be ending its partnership as WWE’s European distributor for DVD and Blu-Ray. Silvervision was known for producing Blu-Ray releases that were better than what is released in the US as well as putting out older content that is not available in the US. PWInsider”

    • Legend_Killer says:

I think this may be very well true. PWinsider is quite a reliable source, even if the information still has the status of a rumour. Anyway, it would make sense after all, considering the sales, the lack of explanations from our UK distributor, the absence of any mention on titles that are scheduled after June 1st (Extreme Rules, Over the Limit and other releases). As a European WWE fan, I find this very unfortunate (unquestionably, just like many others). Compared to people in the US, we have been really spoiled by Silver Vision (especially with blu rays) and it is a real shame to realise that they might cease to exist.

  8. PeeWee says:

also just seen bret vs shawn greatest rivialries blu ray on sale as that’s one of the big sellers this spells even more doom australian websites get ready for uk blu ray hunters oh the pain

  9. Legend_Killer says:

In the meantime, Silver Vision has attracted a whole new clientele: the sale hunters, always begging for more price reductions … They even announced more titles will be added to the sales soon. However, as long as I don’t know that I will be able to get future WWE releases, I am not interested in buying PPVs from the past.

  10. Belgian fan says:

A good business policy implies that a company tries to resolve problems they encounter as quick as possible. Of course, problems can arise at any time and that’s not a shame. But this has now been five weeks the problem exists and still, they do not manage to get it fixed. If it are production problems, of a technical nature, then that does not take so long to repair it. Besides, they make us believe that they do not know anything more. If a company does not know after 5 weeks what exactly the problem is, then I see two possibilities: or the company has a bad policy or they are just lying to the customers. I kind of agree a company is not obliged to inform its customers on the precise nature of its problems: but then, just say “we are working on it” and not “we don’t know what is going on”, because after 5 weeks, I do not believe that. That’s just impossible. They admitted the non-releases are due to production problems in the UK. So, if they do not know what is going on, they should take their car and go and check what is going on in the production manufactury. As simple as that.

  11. Daniel says:

And if WWE will created WWE DVD EUROPE ?

  12. #SilvervisionDie. says:

@Vincenzzzzzo is a total waste man, at the end of the day we have every right to know whats going on and have every right to get answers about the situation because it has been the situation has stank and the worst situation iv come across with any company, they have left lot of the fans in the dark, amazon never do this, silvervision take money before the dvd is even out with pre orders who does that, total waste of our time, just disgrace and i agree with @ WWFTaggedClassicsUK if they cant handle the situation best thing to do is just close down,
WWE are smart they will get a new distributor in and close down silvervison for good does the millon dollar laugh ahhhhahahahahahahahhah 🙂

  13. #WWFTaggedClassicsUKExclusive... says:

Hope Silvervison Get closed Down, Been Well Dodgy past Month, Sending out Faulty DVDs, Sending Out the Wrong DVDs, Customer Service has been poor, They are in a Panic and if they cant handle it i say just do1 haha,
But Seriously hope a respectable distributor comes in and sells WWE Dvds and Blu-rays.

  14. Daniel says:

If Wrestlemania 28 is not sell in UK and Europe , The Problem is important , because the European market is important . Silver Vision is silence for Extremes Rules 2012 and Over The Limit 2012 .

  15. Mark D says:

If your looking to import DVDs/Blu-rays from the US, then you can’t go far wrong with Amazon.com. They’re quick, easy and often have the best prices around 🙂

    • markacky says:

I agree. As long as you have a multi region blu ray/dvd player and don’t mind waiting a few weeks you can get new releases on amazon.com earlier than here in uk anyway and generally cheaper. Considering we seem to be waiting an age to get any news from silvervision surely waiting 8-15 business days to get a new release blu ray/dvd is an option for everyone.

  16. Coliseum Video Fan says:

To those in UK / Europe who have a multi region DVD player you can get really cheap WWE DVD’s at http://www.importcds.com

I’ve managed to get the new CoTC set & Extreme Rules 2012 for $25 shipped!

  17. Harry Faversham says:

Silver Vision has been doing a few unusual things recently. They also sent me 2 faulty copies of the same DVD and then didn’t reply to my e-mail when I asked them about it. But second guessing and finger pointing doesn’t really help anyone does it. I’d like to know more but I’m sure they have valid reasons. They’ve been very good to us for a long time, so I don’t think its right for everyone to attack them as soon as they have a difficult situation. We should all be on the same team. It’ll get sorted one way or another, sooner or later.

  18. Anonymous says:

One suggestion I would make to all UK collectors is perhaps just wait and see how this whole thing plays out, perhaps everything gets resolved and you don’t need to run off and pay expensive prices for these titles.

  19. nightmare says:

The only place I can think of would be ebay and it might be really expensive

  20. Lemo says:

Does anybody know where can i buy online WCW clash of champions dvd with 2 exclusive matches extra ?

  21. PeeWee says:

not only that there is no pre order for extreme rules and if memory serves me right silvervison usually have preorders for events b4 they happen also forgot to put my name on my other comment

    • LP1 says:

SilverVision’s site has completely removed the “Coming Soon” section on the left menu bar. That tells you something. They’re not selling any future WWE DVDs. Looks like there could be some be some truth to the rumors.

  22. Anonymous says:

This sucks so bad man! What´s wrong with those dvds?

  23. indyfan says:

That sucks for you UK folks. haha and check this guy below me. Of course they can ask why and demand answers. Its not just about money, these guys want the dvds.

  24. Vincenzzzzzo says:

This doesn’t affect me, as I live in the US. However, all I can say is that – the people who pre-ordered this stuff got their answer. Period. You now know that you will be refunded your money. It is not your business whats going on in the inside of SilverVision. All you need to know is if you’re getting your money back. Simple. You don’t need to know why, how, when, and where. Silver Vision doesn’t have to tell anyone what the problems are. All they need to do is refund the people their money, and thats it.

    • Anonymous says:

If a company is not communicating with it’s customers/clients what’s going on, and leaving them in the dark, then there’s a very good chance, people will turn elsewhere to get what they want, and the company will lose business. So if SilverVision wants to do good business, they should be communicating with their customers what’s happening. But you are right, they don’t have to, and they can thus lose business, which it seems has already happened, based on people writing that they are getting and will be getting future releases elsewhere. Maybe you want to pick up a book and read instead of picking up another WWE DVD.

    • Anonymous says:

SilverVision should be letting their customer’s know what’s going on, it’s called CUSTOMER SERIVCE.

    • Roly says:

      Incredibly uninformed response Vincenzzzzo

Of course Silvervision should be keeping their customers up to date. I have never, in 30 years, experienced customer service quite as bad as this.

Silvervision is not like Amazon. It has a very loyal and consistent customer base (i.e. all of us.) It should do all it can to ensure that this fan base stays happy and continues to grow.

The only reasons I can possibly fathom as to the recent goings-on is that the company has lost the WWE contract and will continue with its other ventures under the Clear Vision banner, or that the company as a whole has gone bust. If either of these have happened, then it doesn’t matter if they p!ss off their customers.

As much as it pains me to say it, I just see this being the end of the road for the UK fans having it so good for so long.

I do wonder why Silvervision started doing its own TV shows and having Steve be so visible on twitter etc of late but then never answers questions about this when asked?

      • Vincenzzzzzo says:

I understand the whole “customer service” thing, ok…. I get it. Still doesn’t entitle you, me or anyone to know the insider details on why they won’t be releasing something. Thats none of our business. None. As long as people are being refunded, no more questions should be asked. I’ll need a very good reason why Silver Vision should go into details about their personal business practices in order to convince me otherwise.

        • Roly says:

I paid for these items 3 or so months ago. That cash was in the Silvervision bank account, not mine. They are the only online company i use which take the money prior to shipping. The way I see it, they owe me the interest on the time they had my money and have not delivered the Blu Rays.

          Either that, or answers.

          • Vincenzzzzzo says:

I do agree that a company should give refunds right away, and not make people wait for them though. But, maybe SV didn’t know what was going to happen, so they kept their lips zipped until they had confirmation on their end on what to do. You never know the circumstances behind something. But, like I said. None of my business anyway.

      • Anonymous says:

To be totally honest with you, I highly doubt that it’s the beginning of the end for the UK market. This hiccup is just temporary. WWE make a ton of money in the Euro market, which is why Euro get the exclusive WWE PPV’s on blu ray. If this was happening here in North America, I wouldn’t be as upset, seeing as those Tagged Classics are golden! I’d have my Survivor Series anthology complete if they had those Tagged Classics here.

I also do understand the frustration and anger, I mean, all the exclusives have gone mainly to the Euro market, so in a way, the Euro zone has been spoiled, with the blu ray ppvs, Tagged Classics, etc…

    • Anonymous says:

Just to add on to the above points, there are people who read this site, and others in the general public who have pre-ordered the items that SilverVision, as of right now, will not be selling. Thus, people have given SilverVision money for an item that is not yet released. It is SilverVision’s responsibility to communicate to people what’s going on, especially if they are holding people’s hard earned money for an item they are suppose to be getting in return.

  25. Anonymous says:

this is an akward situation really dont want to go the australian route but with each day passing with no news it seems more this is going to be the case i just hate the stickers on australian products unless they can be removed easily plus the headache of going through so many australian sites plus the import fees so the wait continues …

    • LP1 says:

You can always pick up a region-free DVD/BR player and buy the US WWE releases. People here in the states have been doing that for years in order to buy the UK Tagged Classics and the recent ppvs on Blu-ray. It’s not the worst idea.

    • Sam says:

I’m from Australia and I hate our classification labels too, but at least they will play (especially BluRay) in the UK. Sadly, on the all of the WWE BluRays, the labels aren’t removable. I’m sure wwedvd.com.au ships internationally.

  26. Legend_Killer says:

Not being allowed to produce because of an expiring license, can also be called a production issue, for sure

  27. LP1 says:

Did you guys ever think that there’s probably a legal reason why SilverVision isn’t allowed to say anything? I heard rumors going around that WWE might be cutting ties with SilverVision and going with a different distributor. Again, that’s just hearsay for now, but I fully believe there’s a much bigger issue going on here than just a few cancelled DVD’s.

  28. BigWilly says:

Well i know that The Best of WCW Clash of the Champions has already been classsified at the BBFC website since April 2nd.
ECW Unreleased Vol.1 and Wrestlemania 28 haven’t even been passed to the BBFC as yet so obviously there is a slight problem with those 2 titles.
I will be glad when Silvervision get these titles out though.

  29. Dave says:

Another possibility could be related to the production houses. Couple weeks ago on Silvervision TV they showed how their DVDs are produced, so its possible something is wrong with the production houses.

If they can’t produce, Silvervision is screwed.

  30. SRB says:

NOT WWEDVDNews fault, but this told us nothing and I believe Silvervision is ignoring something that is going on behind the scenes and is not being truthful with its customers, which is a real shame.

    • Mark D says:

While this statement today doesn’t answer all of the questions, it is the most significant update on the situation that we’ve had.

  31. Philip says:

Have to also say that I’m not impressed with the total lack of communication from Silvervision. They NEED to tell their customers what’s going on or they will lose business. They’ve already lost some of mine as I’ve now imported Wrestlemania Blu-ray from Australia and Extreme Rules 2012 from Malaysia. Saying the same “we have no further information” etc etc over and over again is not good for business, particularly when they know exactly what’s going on.

  32. Dave says:

So these production problems that Silervision mentions could be damaged master tapes they received from WWE…doubt this is permanent, would a bad business decision since WWE is popular in the UK.

    • Anonymous says:

That’s a possiblity but I doubt it. Wrestlemania 28 just happened 5 weeks ago. I think “production problems” is a cover up for something bigger that has happened or might happened in the future.

  33. VinceM says:

Silvervision is a bunch of shit they say email u for any questions i have emailed them rwice and they said the same thing twice to me really pisses me off they know what is going on and chooses not to tell us

  34. Legend_Killer says:

I don’t care if Silver Vision is responsible for this situation or not, but their lack of communication is totally unacceptable. They clearly know what is going on, but they still refuse to answer their clients’ questions.

  35. Supersonic says:

Yeah this won’t boost piracy in Europe.
