Also in a matter of months or so I am coding and developing my own forum. I would truly cherish everyone to go and respond within it. Hey if wwe releases just pops on DVD I’d be happy. It is what it is.

  2. meme says:

Well at least they used all three hours for both discs. That’s all you can ask for these days.

  3. RabidHeat says:

I’m kind of expecting an announcement any day that Super Showdown has been pulled from the physical media schedule. I just can’t see them releasing that dog’s breakfast of a PPV, especially given the negative reaction that the main event alone drew. There are just too many botches to edit out, not least the finish of the match! And surely they aren’t gonna want ‘Taker’s post-match reaction on there either.

    • Patrick Mcnamara says:

They are going to release that. The deal was already made with Jeddah and too many superstars were pissed Tgey didn’t release crown jewel especially HBK himself. So they are not going to make that “mistake ” twice. I’m getting it. It’s coming out in September

      • Patrick Mcnamara says:

        *they

      • RabidHeat says:

Okay, but unless you have some inside information you obviously don’t know that is 100% the case. We’ve known schedules to change at a moment’s notice on many occasions. Everything is tentative; pre-orders can get pulled and refunded etc.

        • Patrick Mcnamara says:

True very true indeed. I know for certain though that people wanted to complete their 2018 DVD collection and really couldn’t because they didn’t release Crown Jewel. Alot of people complained about that and several actually distributed petitions against wwe. Petitions that, unbeknownst to the public, cost the wwe alot of money. If they could avoid that potentially happening again they most definitely are. I’m a writer, as part of what I do I literally research almost everything. Which means alot of the time I dig deeper than the surface stuff. Not putting you down I’m just saying that I tend to be more through than most. I would never post something unless I am 100% sure. I hate when people troll others like that. I feel that I am responsible for my edicate and my information. I just want to help others.

          • RabidHeat says:

Fair point, and obviously as long as the pre-orders are still up I too am assuming it will be released. I just wouldn’t be shocked if it got pulled as I can’t remember WWE receiving such a panning for an event since… well, Crown Jewel, lol.

            • Patrick Mcnamara says:

Fair point as well. I just want it for my collection. My brother told me that it was alright. Not tops but OK. I’m a WWE fan. So any and all events I’m down for getting you know? But I can understand your criticism. As much as I love WWE it just isn’t as great as it once was.

    • David says:

I have’t watched Super showdown and really don’t plan to but saw the highlights and even from watching the 4-5 minute highlights the whole show looked awful and boring…I can’t imagine anyone watching 4 hours of this show. Seems like torture and a cure for insomnia.

Goldberg/Taker was known to be trainwreck the moment it was announced…based on the reactions from fans that was accomplished.

I looked at the match lengths and I’m shocked Goldberg/Taker went nearly 10 minutes, from what I read and the highlights the match went 9 minutes 30 seconds too long.

Also Orton/HHH got nearly 26 minutes! holy crap! their matches have always been awful and boring. This looked like it was no different except a lot slower. HHH ain’t the same anymore and its ridiculous how he tries to insert himself in matches likes these where has to have the longest one. For example the match with Taker in Australia had no business going nearly 30 minutes and this throwaway match with Orton shouldn’t gone that long either.

These Saudi shows seem to be getting worse as they go and there is still 9 more years out of 10 year deal left. Watch the Saudi prince throw money at WWE to get them to convince Sting, Austin, Hogan, Rock to wrestle at these shows. I think the next time (i believe November) they will book Undertaker vs Sting and they will probably even have Austin vs. Hogan for a future show. They got HBK out of retirement who wanted to stay retired from past interviews because WWE’s rating are in the crapper with an awful product that can’t build new stars because the 70 year old 8 year old owner is an out of touch old man and doesn’t know what the fans want and are relying on the attitude era stars as band aids for short term gain. The way the product has been there is no doubt the people writing these shows are only writing them to amuse Vince and Vince only, because I can’t see how this would be entertaining anymore for anyone over 10 years old.

  4. Nate says:

Been meaning to ask this for a while…..

What’s with the cookie cutter dvd discs (solid color and basic logos), lacking of special features and cheap basic menus?

What happened to having discs with full art and menus that had soul and feeling? More special feature hours than the actually documentary/program?

    • D.P. says:

Willing it’s a safe bet they don’t want to put more effort than necessary since home media is no longer as profitable or top priority as their digital service/network

      • Patrick Mcnamara says:

Alot of people are cancelling their wwe network subscriptions or just getting them free for the first month and just dropping it. WWE is actually funding 78% of the network, which I think is silly because money goes right back to them it just does. Alot of stuff like this people don’t know. WWE,and I love wwe, embellishes alot of their statistics and records to appear more massive, not saying that they are not massive, they are just like every other corporation or business, you need to do whatever you can to either increase investors and profits. Embellishment seems to be WWE ‘S major tool.

        • LP1 says:

WWE doesn’t embellish their Network subscriber numbers. They lie about attendance for major shows and social media numbers, but lying about their Network subscriber numbers, especially when they release them as part of their earnings report, could get them into a lot of trouble from a legal standpoint and set themselves up to be sued. So they’re not making up the Network numbers.

As for people cancelling their subscriptions, if you read the reports closely, the vast majority of those cancellations come from people who sign up for the free months and don’t pay. The number of paid subcribers following Mania 34 last year was 1,558,000 million subscribers. This year following Mania 35 the paid subscribers were up slightly to 1,584,000.

          • Patrick Mcnamara says:

Ok fair valid point. However wwe has notoriously bent the law and done things they should not do. Network, and home videos are a major part of their earnings report as well. Wwe will not force people to get the network, they have been releasing home videos in one form or another since the mid 1980’s. To stop relasing home videos would cost so many jobs. That can also lead to a bunch of frivolous lawsuits. Not all of them resolved or dismissed immediately. So in order to prevent any wasted time they will continue releasing home videos. While it may not be as many as they have in the past, it will still continue. I mean wwe is too smart if a company to just remove one of its top income sources. The network is a very close second.

            • LP1 says:

Actually home video sales are not a major part of WWE revenue at all. The sales are so miniscule that they no longer give any stats for them in their earnings reports. Ever since the launch of the Network, home video sales have dropped dramatically. They used to release home video sales numbers in their reports every quarter and from 2014 up until about a year or two ago, you could see the big drops every quarter. Home video is clearly no longer a priority for WWE. Between dropping blu-ray releases, cutting back on the number of discs in a set, cutting back on non-ppv releases, putting little to no effort into the designs of the packaging and the discs, cutting back on selling them on WWEShop.com, not to mention they almost never do any advertising for new releases anymore. I know you enjoy collecting DVDs, but let’s be honest here, WWE could completely stop releasing home videos altogether and it wouldn’t even make a dent in their bottom line. Especially with the money they’re going to be getting when the new TV deals go into effect in October. It’s sad to say, but it’s true.

  5. Joe says:

    GETTING ROWDY MATCH LISTING???????????????

    • Daniel Bee says:

      JOE.

      IT’S AVAILABLE!

      …somewhere in Stamford.

      • D.P. says:

Seriously is there anyway to ban this guy. The trolling is stupid.

      • Joe says:

        GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Patrick Mcnamara says:

You know what that tells me about yourself Daniel Bee? It tells me that you are an extremely irritating childish person. I bet you can’t really hold relationships down or connect with others too well. Huh? I know that you probably are childish enough to bring my mother into this, so before you do ask yourself this…would anyone truly want to ever even touch you? I mean seriously, trolling people means that you are either one slight away from shooting up a public place or you are so depressed and suicidal that this is all you can do to enjoy yourself. That my friends is how you deal with trolls, kick them low and let them squirm like the parasites they truly are.

        • LP1 says:

What the heck did I just read? Patrick, you do realize that Daniel Bee operates this website, right? Why would he troll his own site and why are you talking to him like that?

          • RabidHeat says:

Literally astounded at what I’ve just read. Never in the history of this comment board have I read something so messed up, and given some of the humdingers over the years, that’s saying something. Did Patrick confuse Joe for Daniel here and get the names mixed up? Even if so, that’s still ridiculously harsh stuff to say to anybody. I mean, the part about “shooting up a public place” .. WTF?

            • Patrick Mcnamara says:

Yes I meant Joe. I just go for the jugular vein. I don’t play any games. Look everyone has a freedom of speech. Correct? Messed up? We are on the internet. Look I don’t owe anyone an explanation of anything I say. At the end of the day words are only that, words. You shouldn’t allow yourself to get to bent out of shape over anything anyone says. I mean we can’t possibly understand why anyone says anything. No matter how messed up. I’m actually doing a psychological experiment. The results have read pretty good. I have several theories. However they are only that. Just so everyone knows, I’m a horror writer. So I might use some of your reactions and ofcourse what I said as part of a future story.

              • RabidHeat says:

People have taken their own lives over other people “words” towards them on the Internet, but yeah, you carry on believing that there is no line that you shouldn’t cross. You’re clearly a lovely person.

                • Patrick Mcnamara says:

I donate to charity, I treat others with love I only did that one time. So please don’t sit there and act like you know anything about me. I mean if you would like to personally contact me, my email address is mrplaya1991@yahoo.com so we can continue to discuss this outside this forum. I understand that I made a mistake. I sincerely apologize for that. I want that comment erased alright? If people want to be mad at me go right ahead.
