We’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at the first WWE DVD releasing next year!

The 2018 Home Video schedule will kick off with a 3-disc set: “Best Pay-Per-View Matches 2017”, for which the company has selected 19 of the greatest bouts fans have witnessed on PPV events this year. The one will pack in nearly 9 hours of footage and will be hosted Renee Young.

Watch the intro video to the first release of 2018, right here:

Unfortunately the release date for the “Best Pay-Per-View Matches 2017” DVD has been pushed back one week. It was previously scheduled for January 2nd (this Tuesday), however fans in the United States can now expect the DVD in stores from January 9th (the following Tuesday).

For the most part WWE’s 2018 Home Video offerings cannot currently be found on the Amazon site to pre-order where they usually would be. This is just a delay and should be rectified very soon.

The release times outside of North America for this title are unaffected, as detailed below.

Former WWE announcer Sean Mooney and on-screen personality Peter Rosenberg were recently spotted filming a RAW-related project with WWE — it’s not confirmed yet but outside of a Network special this could mean that the duo will be hosting the new “RAW 25th Anniversary” DVD.

EXCLUSIVE: WWE “RAW 25th Anniversary” DVD Scheduled – Documentary, Full Episode or Box Set?

Our earlier reports confirm that as of last word the current plan is for the new 3-disc DVD set to feature the full RAW 25th Anniversary episode to be broadcast next month and with it a compilation of the greatest matches and moments witnessed in the 25-year history of RAW.

Those “extra” matches and moments could conceivably have host segments dotted between them.

You can pre-order the “RAW 25th Anniversary” DVD now for $19.99 here on Amazon.com

  1. LP1 says:

I’m surprised they’re still going forward with the PPV double packs. The reason they started doing them in the first place was because of having 2 PPVs a month. Now WWE is pretty much back to having 1 PPV a month (except May and September). There’s only 1 PPV in February and 1 PPV in March.

  2. whut says:

so this might mean that Sean Mooney is back on a more regular basis?

who would have ever thought that to be a possibility?

  3. isrs4life says:

Say dont you mean that Survivor Series will be released in jan
not clash of champions on the list? because I am from canada and
amazon list clash of champions for Feb 13, 2018

    • Daniel Bee says:

No isrs4life, the Clash PPV aired December 17 so the DVD would be a month later in January. Survivor Series released this week.

(This for the US, Canada might be a little behind)

  4. RabidHeat says:

Hoping to finally get my hands on the rare footage of Austin stunning Vince! And Milkomania running wild.

  5. Thomas says:

I will just be buying the big events which is WrestleMania, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble & SummerSlam but not the small events like the double feature PPV DVDS because they are not worth the money

  6. SRB says:

Although I don’t normally buy recent PPV events on DVD with the exception of WM, I went against that this year due to the double packs. That being said, the Best Pay-Per-View Matches 2017 is a great compilation, but I wish they would have waited to include at least 1 or 2 matches from Survivor Series and Clash. Stopping at October doesn’t full like a full year.

  7. Jordan B says:

Anybody know how they are going to do the 2 live shows for raw 25? One on tv the other on network?

    • Jammer says:

They will just have a live video/audio feed from each place is my guess. So it will all air live together on TV for us.

      • Justin F says:

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

        • Nicolas Hébert says:

We are in 2018, not in 1993… That’s most easy to do that than 25 years ago.

          • RabidHeat says:

I just don’t see the point. Just broadcast it from one venue. It wouldn’t make any difference to the viewing audience at home, and having to watch every other match on a screen is just crap for the live crowds. Splitting the venues achieves nothing special.

            • Gr8 1 says:

Well if YOU don’t see the point, then what’s the point? You are obviously the authority when it comes to running WWE and Vince and Triple H have no clue whatsoever. LOL!

    • LP1 says:

They’ll most likely go back and forth. While a match is happening in Manhattan they’ll show it on the titantron for the fans in Brooklyn and vice versa.
