The “Shawn Michaels: Mr WrestleMania” DVD and Blu-ray release is just 2 days away! Get your copy on order in time for then at Amazon.com or over at WWEShop.com.
“Shawn Michaels: Mr. WrestleMania” features a unique opening segment. Rather than a typical highlights package, the set opens with Shawn Michaels entering a Pittsburgh hotel. We then follow Shawn into a room where he proceeds to sit down and watch highlights of his various WrestleMania encounters on an iPad, during which HBK provides little snippets of stories. We get to see his reactions to the bigger spots in some of the matches.
During the new interview footage Shawn addresses whether or not he will ever come out of retirement to wrestle again and who it is that pushes for him to stay retired. As mentioned, the WrestleMania 20 match is omitted from the compilation but does get a very brief mention.
Other early notes are that some music has been changed on the matches, for example “Jive Sole Bro” and the Orient Express themes have been replaced. As expected, Jesse Ventura’s commentary has also been removed from the WrestleMania V & VI matches.
The main draw of this set, certainly for long-time collectors, is the stories and memories of the matches by Shawn, and this set is packed with them! So don’t forget to pick up “Shawn Michaels: Mr. WrestleMania” this Tuesday. It’s $19.96 here on Amazon.com.

Corey Rice sends word of finding copies of the WCW Clash of the Champions DVD in the $5 bins. We recently heard the CM Punk DVD was spotted in those too.

I found The Rock: Epic Journey and Raw: The Beginning in the $5 bin at Walmart too.
Loving the new HBK set (even though I already own all these matches on DVD/BD). Nice to have all his ‘Mania matches on one set (minus WMXX of course).
One noteworthy issue on the set however. The WMXII Iron Man match seems to be from the anthology/Shawn vs Bret sets as it is edited for any WWF reference. I was looking forward to having this match on Blu-ray and free of edits… Oh wells. It sucks having to hear the odd Vince McMahon commentary during Shawn’s victory celebration because he says “the new WWF Champion” several times…
I’m one of the biggest HBK fans ever but I might wait to get this when the price drops in a few months. Daniel Bee what’s your favorite Shawn Michaels WrestleMania match? Mine is Mania 25 HBK vs Undertaker such a classic.
Kmart had the DVD of HBK out already today.
Confirmed on copies of Clash of the Champions showing up in $5 bins, a friend and I located 3 copies recently at our local Walmart here in Ohio.
Do the 4:3 ratioed matches have distracting artwork on the sides of the screen or is it just black on the sides? If there’s artwork, what is it of? Thanks.
There are very few guys that I could listen to discuss the business for an extended period of time, but HBK is one of those guys. Already have all of the matches, but I will be picking up the set to hear from HBK and his reflections. His wrestling intelligence is far superior to that of anyone wrestling today.
I think wwe should release wcw box sets of starrcade, halloween havoc, bash, and others..
agreed should of after starrcade dvd but wwe does not like to prase wcw
To be honest I think wwe need to focus more on releasing dvd and blu ray that have not been release I mean how many Shawn M do we need already just sawing .It’s the same with Triple and the rock and mick foley and so on .
i agree i hope the best of wcw pay per view matches have different matches on that dvd plus the wrestlemania 20 match was a good match i am glad i have wrestlemania 20
