Hands On with WWE 'Undertaker: Last Ride' Collector's Edition Blu-ray

With thanks to WWE Home Video UK, in the video below we’re treated to a very first look at the 30th Anniversary Collector Edition of the “Undertaker: The Last Ride” Blu-ray, ahead of the official release to the UK next week!

‘Taker himself signed 500 photos for the purpose of this release, therefore only 500 of the Collector’s Edition Blu-rays are in existence! Limited stocks remain at WWEDVD.co.uk.

Early pre-orders of this item have now shipped out and customers have been notified that a free bonus item has been included with their purchase, due to a slight delay with shipments.

Undertaker: The Last Ride (30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-ray)

This heart stopping special edition features a unique slip case that presents The Deadman himself ominously looming with the whites of his eyes piercing the veil of shadow cast by his signature hat. With his powerful hands beckoning all who dare to view what lies within.

This slip case will contain the following:

  • Undertaker – The Last Ride 5-part documentary series presented in full HD Blu-ray format. Including a Bonus Animated Episode and a further 20 minutes of Bonus content including never-before-seen deleted scenes and outtakes.
  • The unique full colour mini comic book taken directly from the original Undertaker: Rise of The Deadman graphic novel published by BOOM! Studios, written by Chad Dundas and beautifully illustrated by Rodrigo Lorenzo.
  • The special hand signed artcard depicting in one of his signatures poses during a classic episode of SmackDown and bares his 30th anniversary seal.

Speaking of this sought-after ‘Taker signature, HMV in the UK as part of their “Undertaker: 30 Years of Destruction” promotion gave away a signed poster with the same design as the signed photos included in the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray:

Now, WrestlingDVDNetwork.com can reveal some exclusive details about the next two releases after that, which will both be Pay-Per-View offerings:

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2020 (DVD)

TLC is down on the U.S. schedule for February 9th, 2021, right now pencilled in to be a 2-disc DVD set. The collectible Topps trading cards will continue to be included with PPV DVDs next year; TLC will have an Asuka trading card with a chance to grab a signed card for a lucky few.

Royal Rumble 2021 (DVD)

The Royal Rumble is next along and this one, also down as a 2-disc DVD set, is scheduled for U.S. release on March 2nd, 2021. The Topps trading card to be included with this PPV DVD will feature Edge and there will be a few signed cards circulated with this release too.

AEW released their first DVDs this month in the form of the Double or Nothing, All Out and Full Gear PPVs of 2019, along with the Revolution and Double or Nothing PPVs that took place this year:

The AEW DVDs are region free in format and have been made available in the U.S. via ShopAEW, while they’ve also now made it to the UK via WrestlingStore.

The releases so far are either 1 or 2-disc sets depending on the runtime of the event and the Buy-Ins; those pre-shows appear to be included as extras on most titles. Packaging wise, these DVDs are presented in a Digipak-like fashion (albeit with thinner cardboard than we’ve been accustomed to back when WWE DVD sets had this packaging style).

Our own @_MarkD_ shared these photo collages, showing off most of the new releases.

  1. Nicolas Hebert says:

The Undertaker’s Last Ride DVD is also available at Walmart in Canada. They received it last Friday at my local Walmart Store in Drummondville, Quebec! So that a Walmart Exclusive in North America, not only in the USA.

  2. DDT says:

these look exactly like the Ring of Honor Dvds so probably the same manufacturer.

    • RabidHeat says:

Yeah, looks like the Evolve/DGUSA packaging too. Looks like they just went with the manufacturer that serves the indies.

      • DDT says:

RABID i think evolve have stopped and i think the German WXW have stopped to. i think all the uk companies have stopped? WWE have stopped NXT realeases so i just got wwe, roh, impact, aew, czw, shimmer and north east wrestling as still doing dvds. what are you aware of. anything i got wrong…

        • RabidHeat says:

I know yeah. I didn’t say Evolve and DGUSA were still around. I just meant this is clearly the same DVD pressing company that produced EVOLVE and DGUSA and still does ROH DVDs, based on the packaging and the fact that there are no barcodes on the packaging as they will clearly not be sold in high street stores.

I’m not feeling the premium price for these sets. Will stick to my custom made copies.
