Music of WWE - WWF The Music Vol. 4 Award

Earlier this month we broke the news of a new “Music of WWE” DVD on the way.

The name is currently planned to be “Signature Sounds: The Music of WWE”.

It’s slated to be a single-disc DVD and the confirmed release date is March 18th, 2014. As mentioned in our previous article, early information suggests that 25 tracks will be featured, in addition to new interviews with WWE composer Jim Johnston.

Here’s a reminder of the official synopsis.

Music has been integral in WWE history, especially anthems for all the greatest WWE Superstars. Since Sgt. Slaughter first made his entrance to the Marine Corp hymn in the early 80?s music themes have become synonymous with the Superstars themselves. Just hearing the first few notes brings the crowd to their feet. They are the songs that let the WWE Universe know that business is about to pick up. Now, get behind the music and learn the inside story behind the timeless anthems of WWE and the superstars.

    Pumped for this DVD!

  2. David says:

I’m still in the process converting my WCW ppvs to DVD. Its taken a while and i really want to finish before my VCR bites the dust.

As for the people selling DVD converts, I would be very careful of buying these. From what i understand most these people just actually download the files off torrent sites which are either MP4 or AVI files and convert DVD which is a big no no.

Just recently got Halloween Havoc 2000, Mayhem 2000, Starrcade 2000, Sin, Superbrawl Revenge and Greed from a contact of mine which was a HUGE upgrade from the crappy quality copies i got couple years back.

Not much of a fan of WCW 2000 but these PPVs were never released commercially and WWE have yet to put these on COD minus Starrcade, Sin and Superbrawl which were actually edited with Rey Mysterio matches removed because he had no mask.

  3. Erik G. says:

It’s crazy how that July 1997 Raw is so much longer. Either there was some editing or it went way over. I wonder what the longest Raw (or Nitro for that matter) is when you include the overrun?

  4. Jordan B says:

I just saw a preorder on USAs amazon for a battle ground blue ray and they have it for preorder. It looks like it is region 2 or B but it is being sold by amazon. com and even has a preorder price guarantee

    • Daniel Bee says:

UK imports now appear on Amazon.com for some reason, so this is why. The product will be a Region B/C Blu-ray so must make sure you can play that before ordering.

  5. Alan says:

Question is, what is the picture quality of those WCW VHS transfers? Sounds like it could be rip-off city to me.

    • David says:

It could be, most of these sellers don’t actually convert the VHS directly to DVD, but rather they find torrents online which are VHS -> MP4/AVI and then they convert to DVD which is the worst possible way since its being re-encoded twice which diminishes the quality. Direct VHS rips are the best way of getting these.

I’ve been burned too many times by sellers from ioffer in the past by doing that, but with research and making contacts i found some people that sell excellent quality VHS to DVD/Blu-ray rips which are actual recordings to DVD and not downloaded crap which basically anyone can do.

  6. number1jf says:

When will we find out who won the Christmas Giveaway Sets?

  7. ALK says:

As well as the usual stuff, maybe they can include some not so obvious music choices….like The Mountie’s entrance? XD

  8. Those WCW DVDs are just VHS transfer but there the best option if you want the Original WCW version instead of the WWE edit version you see on classic on demand.

  9. @IMDJLUIS says:

I liked the idea of putting out a DVD on entrance music. I like having a DVD of entrance videos like Ramped Up, Vol. 1 & the DVD that came with WWE The Music, Vol. 6. I’m sure the extras will feature 25 full length entrance videos. Looking forward to this release.
