Listen ‘Jason Goldsmith’ you don’t know me. I don’t come from a rich background and I am not looking down on anyone. Aren’t you the one taking a personal swipe at me? What I said wasnt aimed at anyone in particular and wasnt meant to be taken that seriously. You on the other hand have taken groundless personal jabs at me, which I find very offensive. You havent exactly shown an ability to talk intelligently yourself. You’ve made ridiculous generalisations about anonymous people not being intelligent and lawyers looking down on people (They protect people’s rights by the way). I did say the word ‘idiot’ may have been a little strong. You seem to have a very immature attitude, but I don’t know you either and I’m not going to launch a personal attack on you. Its very easy to do from behind a computer.

@H.M. Nilsson–give it time and it will happen
@anonymous–lawyer huh? that shows why you would look down on the rest of us then.i would dare say i’m as intelligent as any lawyer around.probably more as i think of the lawyers i have met.

  3. H.M. Nilsson says:

When is TNA ever going to release a Best Of The Beautiful People DVD?

Jason Goldsmith, I’m anonymous but saying that I show zero ability to talk intelligently is a bit presumptious to be honest. If I told you I had a degree in law and was training to be a lawyer would that surprise you? But that’s not really the point. I don’t think using the word ‘idiot’ means you’re not intelligent, but saying that someone’s opinion is less valid because they do not have a name isn’t a very intelligent thing to say.

What I was really getting at is that Jeff Hardy will sell despite not really having many great moments to showcase since his return. I’m a collector too, but you are allowed to exercise your own judgment about it. ‘Idiots’ probably was a bit strong, but if it’s poor and you know it’s poor and you buy it anyway, there must be another word for that. ‘Collector’ or ‘completist’ maybe, it’s not important.

Either way ‘Jason Goldsmith’ I don’t need to have a name to give my opinion, whether you like it or not. If you read the comments back you might notice that I was actually agreeing with your first comment. And if you took my comments too seriosuly and were offended you should realise that your reaction was far more offensive, personal and a disproportionate response.

Put that in your intelligent pipe and smoke it.

i have been wanting to buy the house show dvds they released from 2006 to check it out and see and as far as VKM lets hope he never ends up with the TNA name under his banner with the rest–im afraid no one else would try a major wrestling organization (or it it entertainment?) after that.

  6. Tommy B says:

I personally think a Best of Impact! DVD set should be made to represent the Impact Wrestling re-branding, and have all the best matches from “old-school” Impact on a set.

  7. Mark D says:

Yeah, the TNA match comps don’t really cater for the ‘idiots’… oh my bad – collectors 😉 as they feature many PPV matches released just a few months before – sadly from what I’ve heard the ‘Immortal Forever?’ set is of a similar ilk. (Hope to have more soon…)

I think TNA has a real ‘hardcore’ fan base and if they did go out of the box a little more with the DVDs (include some weekly PPV, Xplosion and Impact matches it’s possible the releases could do better.)

Hell why not start filming the live events using even a smaller camera set up (like ROH) and use that footage as well, also from what I hear the live event in ring product is much stronger than the TV one. In addition they would get to build their video library, and we all know how important that can be ask VKM!… No not Kip & BG 😉

  8. Daniel Bee says:

Hey Mark, did TNA tell you about this DVD or is it on a schedule elsewhere? Just wondered if they are sharing more info these days.

Don’t look now there’s some debate and discussion in the TNA section 😉

  9. jason goldsmith says:

@mark d–an aj set sounds good and there doesnt seem to be much from the weekly ppv matches around and as far as the ppv ive not bought one since bound for glory iv but i do buy all ppv dvd releases.
i was also thinking a big sting set when he hangs the boots up too.
TNA has put some stinkers up as far as the collections go but a lot have been enjoyable–i know a lot of people down jeff jarrett but i enjoyed his dvd and kurt angles as well.

  10. Mark D says:

Guess I should be added to the ‘idiot’ list as well… Can’t we think of a catchier name for our group?

@jason goldsmith I must admit I was a little surprised to see this on on the schedule given Mr Hardys current situation, however until we’ve seen the set it’s difficult to comment (remember Ken Patera’s WWF return from his ‘sabbatical’ in the late 80s? Could we be heading down this path with Enigma Vol. 2?)

However I suppose the bottom line, overlooking match quality, company tenure, etc. Jeff Hardy sells merch – why else would WWE have produced 3 different Hardy sets?

In regard to the X-Division, I would love to see more x-division sets, but I really think this Sundays PPV will either be the stepping up or the death of the X-Division (depending upon it’s success or failure), so if you or anyone else is a fan of this style of wrestling BUY THE PPV (and the DVD of course, Sep 20).

By the by… ain’t it about time we had another AJ set – I’d like one similar to the Jarrett one. Or another Asylum years or a Best of Impact! release (just my thoughts).

  11. jason goldsmith says:

hey anonymous-i am one of those “idiots” you refer to-i am not crazy about the idea but i do buy every TNA and WWE release as well as a lot of dvd collectors do.
why do people who show zero ability to talk intelligently never reveal who they are?

  12. Anonymous says:

This seems a bit like a reward for being a berk. Do you really need a DVD documententing wrestler returns to TNA, gets wasted, wrestles Sting, leaves for a bit again and a few matches in between. Will probably sell to the idiots so business is business I guess.

  13. jason goldsmith says:

i am wondering what the guy has done to rate a best of set in TNA on this run? with this and the immortal dvd it seems they are really stretching for ideas.
here’s an idea for the powers that be at TNA-how about some more x-division dvds since it is your most entertaining matches?

  14. SRB says:

his match with Sting that went 49 seconds is truly a classic lol

  15. Tommy B says:

I expect that Volume 2 will just cover his 10-11 run, seeing how the old DVD covered his 04-05 one. With this and Immortal Forever?, TNA’s best of DVDs really have turned to sh*t recently.

  16. Ricky Schmidt says:

Kind of hard to do a “Best of” for a guy who has been completely shit since coming back to TNA after what was a pretty good WWE run.
