Mick Foley, Raven and Rob Van Dam will be hosting WWE’s new HARDCORE DVD!
Well, kind of. The trio will feature in a sit-down interview (think “Table for 3” but way more extreme) in which they’ll discuss such topics as: the 24/7 rule, ECW’s impact on the division, Steve Blackman’s Hardcore legacy, Undertaker’s run with the title, and of course their own.
Foley, as Mankind, was the first title holder, while Raven held it a record-breaking 27 times.
In case you missed it, you can now pre-order the Hardcore DVD or the Blu-ray with Amazon.
“The History of the Hardcore Championship: 24/7” will pack in almost 60 different matches on top of the all-new segments with Foley, Raven and RVD – that’s almost 9 hours of footage!

Best release of 2016 hands down
I am beyond excited for this!
This hardcore release is getting more and more HARDCORE great for every newsflash. Hope that sitdown-trio of hardcore legends come up with wonderfull stories and pow’s, among them the Summerslam 1999 match between Big Boss Man and Al Snow.. so hilarious when BBM uses the nightstick on Head..and Al’s reaction..vintage Attitude Era! 😉
Don’t really understand – I get it if it was the Highspots stuff, but how is that seller allowed to put fan-made bootlegs on eBay? And is it wise for WDN to promote them? Just wondering, ’cause forums etc. don’t condone the promotion of bootleg DVDs. I would just hate to see it jeopardise WDN’s relationships with the official DVD distributors, lol.
Fair point, hopefully it allows WWE then eBay to see them and take action. They don’t appear to have been spotted otherwise and they’re about to be sold anyway.
Theres no proof that those aren’t the Rf versions though. And if they are, WWE has no case. RF sells their own versions of ECW Hardcore TV dvds on their website and WWE can’t do anything about it.
Yeah, I’m aware of RF’s deal, but RF don’t have ECW Hardcore TV Blu-Rays listed anywhere on their website and it doesn’t say RF Video on the front covers of these ones, so I’d say that’s proof enough.
No big deal anyway, just thought I’d mention as I know there are some forums I’ve been on that ban people for even mentioning bootlegs in comments, lol.
Think about what that guy is selling for a minute. They’re most likely direct copies of the RF Video/Highspots DVD releases, which themselves are taken from VHS copies of the master tapes. So he’s selling copies of copies of copies of the originals. And putting them on blu-ray only means you can fit more episodes per disc. The quality will still be VHS tape quality, not HD.
You’re right, I’m not sure what benefit putting them onto Blu-Ray disc really has. Even with a movie like Ghostbusters on Blu-Ray there is not much difference to the DVD, lol. Stuff filmed prior to the HD era generally never really looks much better on BR, but 3rd or 4th generation VHS footage doesn’t have a chance.
When it comes to wrestling, almost everything prior to the HD era was recorded on tape, and tapes can’t be upgraded to HD. When it comes to movies, almost every movie in history was recorded on film. Unlike tape, film can be digitally remastered into HD quality. That’s why so many old movies are being re-released on Blu-ray and now Ultra Blu-ray. If you get a 4K TV and watch an Ultra BR on it, the difference in both video and audio quality is ridiculously better. Even compared to standard BRs. The only positive to recording VHS/DVD quality shows on BR discs is you can fit more episodes on 1 disc. That’s really about it.
A must first day buy for the Hardcore championship Blu-Ray!!! I already preorder my copy on Amazon.ca!
Not for me.
I got the Owen DVD that was 56 on eBay lol
