Mid South DVD looks awesome. I hope it sells like the ECW and WCW sets do so we can get more Mid South releases. I’m also glad WWE got what seems like brand new interviews with Jake Roberts and a few others on there. Can’t wait to pick it up in September.
does TNA not put their PPVS on DVD for USA ?
They have them on ShopTNA.com. They have Genesis 2013 and last week they put up One Night Only: X-Travaganza and Joker’ Wild.
The Superstars Collection dvds are out in the UK on 9th September, not 2nd
I think you mean “2nd September, not 9th”?
The date changed to the 2nd since I received the info, so I’ll update the article now.
Yeah, my mistake, cheers!
Mid South set looks great! Didn’t have the opportunity to watch it in the 80s, so looking forward to a nice history lesson.
TOTALLY UNRELATED QUESTION…
What is the actual match where RVD/Sabu vs. Bam Bam Bigelow/??? where the table came up and tore RVD’s eye? This is discussed on the “One of a Kind” DVD. Does anyone know the date or the event? Thanks.
ECW – 10/2/98: ECW World Champion Shane Douglas, Chris Candido, & Bam Bam Bigelow fought Masato Tanaka, ECW Tag Team Champions Sabu & ECW TV Champion Rob Van Dam to a no contest.
I believe that was the event it happened at.
Thank you! I had no idea it was a 6 man. And I knew it was Tanaka on the mat when they did the spot on Bam Bam. Just couldn’t piece it together.
Wasn’t it Masato Tanaka vs Bam Bam 8/29/98 at the ECW Arena?
Mark, that makes total sense because Sabu is doing the spot in his head-gear meaning it was likely a run-in by them.

An article states that the same night (after the injury) RVD/Sabu faced the Dudleys… Seems odd after that type of injury. But, it’s ECW
Tape it up and you’re ready to go again, lol
Well that just makes me even more excited for the DVD. Come on September.
The Mid-South DVD will be great! I picked up the WWE Cooler yesterday, but I had to buy $24.00 worth of DVDs. They wouldn’t let me have one when my purchase was $19.00. But I got one and I bet the longer the promotion goes, the more lax the stipulations get.
I bought $12 worth of DVDs (Undertaker’s Deadliest Matches and Legends of Wrestling-Roddy Piper/Terry Funk) and they gave it to me.
The Mid-South Set is gonna be awesome. Can’t wait for it
Mid-South has me really excited… in fact almost all of the dvds this year at least in Docs/Comps. have been really good in my opinion. 🙂
TNA Special Features section looks better than What WWE usually has to offer on their ppv DVD special features.
I agree, they really stacked the DVD with loads of extras. I guess since they had about 3 months of buildup since Lockdown makes sense to include segments and/or matches leading up to the PPV.
Also its about time ShopTNA put up the two One Night Only events – X-Travaganza and Joker’s Wild. Hope Lockdown will be up soon along with Slammiversary.
