The drawback to a disc like this is that many of the great Wrestlemania matches have already been released on other DVD sets and that people tend to buy the Wrestlemania events outright on DVD.
While there is legit criticism for dual match selections for various DVD sets over the past couple of years, can you really have a Wrestlemania story set without the main event for the first one, Hogan-Andre, Steamboat-Savage, etc ? The documentary will be the thing that makes or breaks this set.
Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin was voted the best match in Wrestlemania history and its not on there, so thats obviously not the case. The Iron man match from Wrestlemania XII is not on there probably because its too long. To me it doesn’t look like they intended to pick the best matches. Its got to be all about the doc.
I don’t understand why people would complain about the match selection for a DVD ABOUT Wrestlemania. These are just about the biggest and best matches. The selection is obvious.
I don’t mind the matches, they are not the main focus of the DVD. I just want to see the Documentry, Hope they show lots of backstage footage and never before seen. I’ll try getting it on Blu Ray Day 1 !
