Looks like it’ll be Walmart carrying the exclusive version of WWE: The Best of WCW Clash of the Champions DVD.
Walmart.com has updated with this listing which refers to it being an exclusive. It’s available there to pre-order at $16.99 for the May 22nd release date.
As of last word this store exclusive (and the UK edition) will contain the following extra footage, in a similar fashion to FYE’s exclusive Best of Nitro DVD.
NWA United States Tag Team Championship Match
The Midnight Express vs. The Fantastics
Clash of the Champions – March 27, 1988
WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match
Hollywood Hogan vs. Ric Flair
Clash of the Champions XXXIII – August 15, 1996
Two new matches have been added to ECW Unreleased Vol. 1 DVD, and one removed, according to an updated listing posted to Joey Style’s Facebook page.
On Disc 1 we now have Chris Jericho vs. 2 Cold Scorpio (The Doctor Is In, August 3rd 1996), and added to Disc 3 is Jerry Lynn vs. Christian York (Hardcore TV, December 30th 2000).
It also looks like WWE have removed the Rey Mysterio vs. Psicosis match which appeared at the end of the original listing. Blu-ray extras remain unaltered.
ECW Unreleased will be rated TV-14LV and hits stores on June 6th across the United States

I actually think the store exclusive is for Best Buy for $16.99 http://www.examiner.com/slideshow/may-20-26-2012-5-20-5-26-best-buy-ad-scan-prices-for-dvd-and-blu-ray-deals-1#slide=47359736
Wish I knew what Walmart was offering…
The Walmart exclusive matches are not on the blu-ray. The blu-ray has its own exclusives.
To get the complete set of matches you would have to purchase the DVD from Walmart and blu-ray.
thanks. it sucks. i won’t be buying both formats.
ok i’m confused now. walmart exclusive dvd extras will be in the blu ray version too? or blu ray extras are different matches?

We don’t yet know if silvervision in the UK r gona release these?
ORIGINAL ECW dvd rated TV14? Eh
Its not the first time WWE has released TV-14 DVDs since going PG.
It should be rated TV MA
Just picked up some dvds from wwe ship. Thanks for the heads up. Just picked up two Summerslam anthology vol. 3 sets i know i can sell both for less than i just paid. Also picked up elimination chamber 2012 for myself and bret/shawn blu ray again to sell.
— Sting was added to WWE’s alumni page recently. Hogan has been on that page for years despite being a headliner in TNA, so don’t read too much into it other than they’ve got a DVD featuring him coming out soon. Dixie Carter fully expects for him to re-sign for another year when his current deal is up.

What do you know about this Daniel Bee?
I really wouldn’t read to much into it. I see WWE adding Sting to their Alumni page purely as a way to inform the current ‘WWE Universe’ of this past superstar, and to help support WCW themed ventures; such as the Clash of the Champions set (where Sting is featured heavily) as well as future home video projects.
It was revealed recently on an early preview of next months ECW set that WCW was the most requested footage for future releases, and The Stinger was the franchise player for WCW in the eyes of many.
WWE has made overtures towards Sting about coming into WWE. In fact as recently as last year (before singling again with TNA) there was a deal on the table. However he opted not to make the jump.
I guess only time will tell, but one day I hope we see The Stinger be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and work with them on a career retrospective DVD.
While Sting may have never signed a WWE contract he is still highly recognized by WWE officials and to me has the option to go to WWE whenever he wants to. He is pretty much the only guy in history to be highly regarded and chased by WWE but to have never once wrestled on their programming. I personally do not count that final Nitro as wrestling for WWE, but I guess whatever makes people feel better.
Damn….I wanted that Hogan / Flair match on bluray. Please don’t make me buy both versions….please. I can feel the money already coming out of my pocket and into the store clerks hands. Dammmit!!
What does “BBY” mean?
Thanks for the heads up on the DVD sale, picked up Best of Nitro, BR Austin and BR Bret vs Shawn. Can’t wait!
While I appreciate WWE and can and will always respect the business side of DVD production, I think producing 2 or even 3 versions of the same DVD is pretty dumb. Yes, maybe one day they will be worth tons of money but for the consumer WWE sure knows how the play people like theyre an instrument. I know the response to this might be, “you dont have to buy what you dont want to buy.” I agree, which is why I will go to Best Buy and get the Blu-Ray and thats it, but I still think if WWE wants to release more matches I should have to go to 9 stores to buy 9 different versions of the same thing.
**I should NOT have to go to 9 stores to buy 9 different versions of the same thing.
The reason WWE produces “Store Exclusives” is because those specific stores order them. WWE doesn’t go out of their way at first to just produce multiple versions and neither do any other DVD companies that have store exclusives. Its the stores that comes to them and ask them and pays extra for their own store exclusives.
Love the store exclusives but hate that I have to buy 2 copies. 1 to watch and 1 kept sealed.
One guess why Mysterio’s match was removed.
… because there wasn’t a Rey/Psicosis ECW match that hasn’t been released on DVD?
Are those exclusive matches included on the Blu Ray as well?
