does anyone know why silvervision have stopped putting all the artwork inside like when you pull it open it all folds out with really good artwork on and now they are just shoving 3 discs into a thicker than normal dvd case? i think it sucks since the american releases still have all the artwork, i’m actually ordering the US versions now cos silvervision are going downhill, really cheap-tack.

For people that want to pick up the tagged classics from Amazon.co.uk should do so, i noticed most of them are showing “usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months”…which usually could mean Amazon might not carry these or be able to acquire them.

Few months back i ordered couple of tagged classics that had the same status and Amazon actually ended up cancelling them since they couldn’t acquire supply. I had to end up getting them on ebay for a little more.

That’s right Dave. I’m in the UK, but I don’t see those events being released elsewhere, certainly not without being edited to ‘get the F out’ anyway. I used to buy a few region 1 dvds but it got a bit annoying not having a collection with the same rules. So I get why people wouldnt do that, but if you don’t mind that then you should get involved. Maybe second hand sellers on amazon or ebay will ship to america too if money is it tight.

I’m excited for this tagged classic. I always wondered if the reason they hadnt released it was because the VHS version had loads of interfernce and text at the bottom of the screen saying ‘SKY apologises for the interference’. I’m glad to see its finally coming out on DVD. Other than that, I thought the master tape must have been knackered. Perhaps something changed there or maybe they were just being really weird in missing it out of their release sequence.

The best thing about the tagged classics is history is allowed to speak for itself and nothing is interfered with.

    @TheChamp0617

I use to say the same thing, but people in North America can also enjoy the Tagged Classics as well. You can get a decent region free dvd player for like $50-$60, if you want go for a region free blu-ray player (which play both), it will be about $200-$250. Amazon.co.uk ship outside and at pretty decent prices. For me it costs about $17-$20 Canadian for 1 tagged classic set.

Highly suggest getting a region free player…definitely worth it, the tagged classics are amazing, I like it especially for the In Your House events, i don’t think WWE will ever release these events in their entirety in North America and the attitude era ppvs from 1998-2000.

I honestly don’t believe it to be that rare, there’s been one on eBay for about the last 6 months. New ones pop up each week and most of them are not selling as well now. I think the collectors that wanted them have them now.

  6. TheChamp0617 says:

The UK is so lucky to have those Tagged Classics

  7. SRB says:

@Scott, I was one of the first people to put up the Trish DVD and it sold for $297. About a year previous to mine going up one sold for about $200. It seemed like after that everyone was putting theirs up and they weren’t selling for nearly as much as mine did. How rare is the DVD really if every single week another one is listed? Ive come across two in my life so far and sold them both.

    • Daniel Bee says:

People started listing them when WWEDVDNews brought attention to there being a rarer version, to be honest. Various auctions quoted it. There was a severe lack of info or pics online until then, so I think the majority simply didn’t know of it.

Then they see one selling for $200-300 and it opens some eyes, people check what they have and auctions go up. Eventually when the collectors are keeping hold of them I would expect they will become scarce once again. We’ll see.

  8. Scott says:

The market is being flooded with these FYE Trish DVD’s. Well…It is for how rare its considered to be. There was a time when just finding a pic of it was hard. The Raw Homecomings are at least still being pretty elusive. People try to pawn off the Silvervision version as the real deal, but its been about a year since I’ve seen a real one on eBay. I have a sealed copy so I’m good.

Yeah, I just said that one because its probably the best match on there. I’d personally buy it for the Bret Hart vs. Rick Martel and the Bulldog vs. IRS matches, but each to their own. I find the Undertaker vs. Sid match really interesting as it would later be a wrestlemania main event and Sid is given no credit at all for being a big name. Its one of those that I know isnt a great wrestling match but I still really like it.

  10. Simon says:

@Dave: The Best of Raw tapes were volume 1-11 (each covering two months) from July 1996 to April 1998. They’re awesome, I’ve still got them on VHS. In lieu of further ‘Seasons’ boxsets, these will be must-have tagged classics if/when they’re released.

@Anonymous: The Savage/Michaels bout is already on the Savage boxset, and I agree that it’s a great match. If I didn’t own it already I’d definitely buy the new tagged classic, but as I do, there’s little else to entice me.

  11. poikly says:

Is there a version of the Wrestlemania 25 dvd released in the UK that doesnt contain the free encyclopedia?

  12. Dave says:

I hope Silvervision will release the remaining Wrestlefest tagged classics. There’s already 88/90, hope they would put out 91/92 and 93/94. 1995 would have to packed with something else (possibly Brawl in the Family) since Wrestlefest 96 was only in North America which was dubbed as In Your House: Beware of Dog.

Silvervision looks to have more titles to release like Invasion 1992, Mega Matches, Smack Em Whack Em, Battle of the Superstars, Supertapes, World Tour and many other match and superstar compilations. The UK even got these Best of RAW Volumes, i think from 1 to 6.

  13. Bowers says:

i was looking at Silvervision’s site and it listed blu-ray extras for randy orton’s blu, can anyone confirm if they will be on the US disc

  14. Anonymous says:

Well the 1992 UK Rampage is amazing. The 1993 UK Rampage is awful. I’m not sure why it took them so long to release these 2 but I’m so glad they have. The match bewtween IRS and The British Bulldog is one of the best examples of how big Davey Boy was in those days. The 1992 show definitely felt big and if anything it shows how the quality of the product went down after 92. Its worth getting for the Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Savage match alone. The fans in the UK in 91/92 were going crazy for the WWF and I think the reactions to the UK Rampage events must have been a factor in putting Summerslam 1992 at Wembley Stadium. I’ve seen much worse match listings, especially in the ‘attitude’ era and frankly, quite recently too.

  15. SRB says:

So Angle wants to back out of his comment now? Kurt Angle and Bret Hart are my favorite wrestlers of all time, but Kurt is starting to come off as really arrogant and foolish…. He should thank WWE for putting him on the list when we all know Big Boss Man or The Mountie should have been #34.. The Orton DVD looks great. Cant wait to see the documentary.

  16. Simon says:

The tagged classic has got to have the worst match listing of all time. The match I’d be most intrigued in seeing is Undertaker vs. Sid, and judging by their match at WM13, that’s really saying something!
