Clash of Champions 2017, the final WWE pay-per-view event of last year and thus set to complete the 2017 PPV DVD collection, unfortunately appears to have been delayed.
The originally scheduled release time fell on this day in the United States, however indications are that this Home Video is instead on the way one week today — Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018.
This comes after a recent reshuffling of the 2018 WWE DVD line-up which saw “Best Pay-Per-View Matches 2017” also delayed by one week, while the opposite was the case for “The Best of RAW & SmackDown 2017” which has actually been brought forward by three weeks.
Coincidentally, the official trailer for Clash of Champions 2017 surfaced today; watch it here:
If you got lucky and found your copy then let us know! Thanks goes out to the many WDN readers that kept us up-to-date today including Jordan Deleo, Walter Robson and John Bowers.
We can confirm that the UK release date of Clash of Champions is still a lock and unchanged for February 2nd. The Australian release has now been scheduled for late March. In all regions this title will be a DVD-only offering as there is no Blu-ray edition currently planned.
Respect, titles, even careers – it’s all on the line at WWE Clash of Champions.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn fight for their jobs in a match against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura, with both Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees. AJ Styles defends his WWE Championship against Jinder Mahal.

Oh well, it’s only a PPV release. It will surface when it surfaces. Would be more bothered if it was a 3-disc set that I was clamouring for.
Target has it for $9.19.I had pre ordered the dvd and also got 20% by using the target card so I got it for $7.20.
Yeah I went all over the place today, no luck obviously. Very weird being the release date has been the same for a while now.
No matter where I buy wwe DVDs from be it amazon or from hmv the picture quality always looks fuzzy can anyone offer a explanation
Do you have a 4K tv? If so that could be the issue. When I watch DVDs on 4K tvs the quality is generally worse than when watching on regular HD tvs.
DVDs tend to look like crap displayed on an HDTV and even 4K tv. What makes it even worse is its HD content compressed into DVD, so quality is complete garbage.
Its not just WWE, even ROH and TNA only release on DVD and they went HD for a long time and the quality looks pixelated.
@Scott Billington, I have bought WWE DVDS from Amazon.co.uk & HMV, they don’t look fuzzy to me at all
I had this issue too. I tinkered with settings on my sony blu ray player and I found turning on pan & scan under the dvd aspect ratio made a considerable improvement. It’s still fuzzy to a degree, but I think that’s the case for watching any SD video on an HD TV. The fuzziness is definitely less though. Not sure if other brands of player have this same setting, but it works for me on a Sony.
FYI Amazon.ca has it listed for Feb 13, so we’ll see what happen
Are they having any old school dvd like unreleased vol 2 or old superstars releases coming this year?
I ordered Clash from Best Buy and the release date did say next week. Hoping it ships early like the Best PPV matches set did
Has it shipped yet? Still waiting on my copy to ship from there also
