You may have heard that Paul Heyman, Taz, Tommy Dreamer and the Dudley Boyz all participated in a new ECW special together this week for the WWE Network — so what exactly is it?
“The Authentic Untold Story of ECW” is the name of the sit-down discussion with the ECW Originals, and this project may have had a bearing on the halted release of the 2016 ECW DVD.
Back in the summer the new “OMG! ECW’s Top 50 Craziest Moments” DVD, that was scheduled for release this month, was cancelled and then replaced with an entirely different title.
With the ECW special now coming to light, it appears that either the DVD was scrapped to put focus on new ECW programming on the WWE Network, or instead it was postponed to include the new special as an added extra. Last we heard there was still a possibility the Home Video release may happen in 2017, one reason being that the material for it had already long been filmed.
“Randy Orton: RKO Outta Nowhere”, which replaced the ECW DVD, released to stores this week!
For those wondering, WWEShop.com just listed the DVD and Blu-ray after some delay.
Hell in a Cell 2016 is the next WWE DVD on the schedule, coming November 29th.
Now is the time to lock in a pre-order; the price has just dropped to $7.98 here on Amazon.com.

Fingers crossed for being eligeble AND of course winning the Scott Hall blu-ray, when the time is for that particulare price. The only one I’m mising from that photo..well okay..WM 32 too, but.. -hint..hint.. The Bad Guy never been to Denmark, I bet..- 😉
Okay.. it would absolutely totally suck nuts, if WWE completely Deleted the OMG vol. 3 blu-ray.. :-/ ffs, include that Network special as a bonus, just like they did with the Bi(t)schoff release with the JBL interview.
Missing Joey Styles.. but in this PC era we’re living in, where the up coming president appearently is the only one, who can get away with saying ( and problaly also doing it) certain things about women that can be done to them, it should not come as a surprise of course, that Joey was not inviting back in to this, when he made fun about Vince’s best buddy. :-/
Hardly relevant to the article, but okay.
