It’s time we found out the next WWE DVD planned for 2017, don’t you think?!

Earlier this week there were some rumblings of just that when a new title called “WWE 24: WrestleMania Monday” surfaced on Home Video schedules in Canada.

But, don’t worry, it won’t be a Canadian exclusive, and WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has the scoop…

We can exclusively reveal that it’s coming worldwide and the actual full name planned for it is: “WrestleMania Monday is RAW”.

Right now it’s penciled in for a mid- to late-March release (on both DVD and Blu-ray) to fans in North America and early April release to the UK. The theme and format is still to be confirmed, however obvious speculation is that the DVD could center around the “RAW After Mania”; the greatest moments to take place on the post-WrestleMania episode of Monday Night RAW.

A documentary main feature is expected, and given that the initial title of the set referred to the “WWE 24” series, it’s a possibility that the company is currently working on a WWE Network special of this theme, to then be expanded for Home Video with accompanying extras.

Stick with us for more details as and when we receive them!

when does the full match listing for the DDP dvd/blu ray become available?

  2. RabidHeat says:

The theme is a good idea, but I just don’t think a documentary is the way to go with this. It should be a matches/moments compilation, with 3 discs of stuff shown in full, rather than a doc and on 2 discs of matches and moments.

    • SCSA says:

No, a set can get boring without a Documentary

      • RabidHeat says:

        In your opinion.

      • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

some sets should have been without a doc, given what we were presented with: “The Streak: 20-0” / “Truth story of Royal Rumble” / “Rock vs Cena: “Once” in a Lifetime”.

        • SCSA says:

Well I have to say, I was desperate to watch the Documentary for ‘The True Story of The Royal Rumble’, but I also have to say that it was okay, though a few chapters sucked!
Instead they should have just added more Rumble matches or single matches from the 80’s & 90’s like the Casket match from RR98 w/HBK Vs Undertaker & so on!

  3. John Peterson says:

As long as Orton/Sheamus with the amazing crowd the night after Mania 29 is included,I’ll be ok with this.

  4. Bill says:

Hell yeah I love that DVD idea, Raws after the big show are usually awesome

  5. Matthew Tremble says:

Thanks for using my video again!!

  6. David says:

Less than 3 months and most of those DVDs are $5…feel bad for those paying full price just to buy on release day and really for what reason?! Just shows that WWE DVDs and Blu-rays just don’t sell well so WWE have to mark them $5 to get rid of them and why stores hardly even carry them.

    • SCSA says:

True for you I guess, but that’s in the States! Here in the UK, we hardly get sets go down to £5! It’s more like from £22.99 to £9.99!

Though I’d still say it’s worth paying full amount for titles that I always want so desperately!

  7. SCSA says:

Are they ever going to release the set of ‘Greatest Rivlaries – ROCK Vs AUSTIN’ that was switched w/the Shawn Vs Bret set?

The Top 25 Rivlaries was very boring & Rock Vs Austin needs to be made just like the Shawn Vs Bret set that included all their great matches!

    • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

If they ever release that ROCK VS AUSTIN set, let’s hope for those who want it on DVD, that WWE do not make a similar horrible mistake like the one they did with the Shawn vs Bret release, where they did not put the significant match on that release other as a Bluray exclusive, namely Survivor Series 1997 match:

Imagine, if the Wrestlemania X-Seven match was omitted on a Rock vs Austin release..totally the same effect..

      • Davey says:

Dude, that 1997 match wasn’t even good. Both men had no chemistry after their backstage fight and you can see and feel it throughout. Glad they added it as optional since they had chemistry in all their earlier matches.

        • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

I agree..it was definitely not their best match that they ever have had..

but, in the context of the topic of the release: “Greatest rivalries”, it sure feels strange not to include it on both editions, especially considering how much that day and night in Montreal is being discussed in the main interview.

Imo WWE should have put the match on both media-versions and then as blue-exclusive put more promos from the years of the rivalry.

Anyway.. great release, especially on Blue.. 🙂

          • SCSA says:

I agree, even though I bought it on the Blu-ray set! DVD owners must have been angry not to have that match that was so much talked about in the interview on their set.
Although as a Blu-ray owner, I was very happy with the set & that marks one of my favourite WWE Blu-ray’s of all time.

Though it’s a shame that there was no Rock Vs Austin, nor Mr McMahon versus Stone Cold Steve Austin which should have included all their matches just like the Shawn Vs Bret set.

            • Quinn says:

I believe they did a two part interview for Austin vs. McMahon on WWE Rivalries. That’s about as close to a DVD set you’ll get on that rivalry.

              • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

That.. + for those who remember: there’s the Attitude Era Collection VHS/DVD “Austin vs McMahon”. Just little over an hour, but its been released. 🙂

          • LP1 says:

If people who bought it on DVD were upset that the Survivor Series 97 match wasn’t include, then that’s their fault for not buying the Blu-ray.

  8. Davey says:

    WrestleMania Monday? Sounds kinda lame.

I’d rather see a sequel to The Best of Saturday Nights Main Event.

  9. Indyfan says:

Sounds lame. Release more 80s stuff. Like best of 80s house show matches. Similar to best of MGS set

    • Indyfan says:

      *MGS

    • SCSA says:

Well, I’m just happy that this is a set that is going to include scenes from the 80’s & 90’s, though true, it could have been something better like ‘The best matches of SummerSlam’ or perhaps ‘The true story of SummerSlam’, but better than ‘The true story of the Royal Rumble’ set which had a short doc & boring special features.

    • RabidHeat says:

How many truly great watchable matches are you going to get on an 80s House Show set? Really. It would be like watching a crap Coliseum compilation tape, only WITHOUT commentary.

      • Indyfan says:

You obviously don’t know what you are talking about. Ever see Macho Man vs Tito Santana no dq from Boston Garden? Or Hart Foundation vs Rougeaus from Nassau Coliseum. How about Rockers vs Brain Busters from LA Sports Arena? How about Rockers vs Rougeaus from UK? How about Paul Orndorff vs Tito Santana from St Louis? These house shows were actually televised in those areas so there was commentary.

  10. justin says:

Waste of disc and production space.

  11. LP1 says:

This should be interesting. As far as the early years go, we can be sure the Raw from the night after Mania 9 won’t be mentioned since that was a taped show that happened before Mania. Nothing really important happened on that Raw or the Raw after Mania 10. The first good Raw the night after Mania was in 1995 after Mania 11. That was the night Sid turned against Shawn Michaels and powerbombed him 3 times during the commercial break. That was also simultaneously Shawn’s face turn. And I believe Alundra Blayze won back the Women’s Title on that show from Bull Nakano.

  12. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

If there was ever a release more obsolete.. Delete! Delete!

Lesnars return in 2012 is the only thing I remember really up there on being the greatest Post-Mania RAW moment.. but I already have that on Brocks first Blue uncut and unedited..which it problaly won’t be on this just like it happend on Best of RAW/Smackdown 2012.

Even if there are others memorable stuff, I got it already on several RAW sets..

Okaaaaaay.. Royal Rumble on blue: you have the huge task of being the One and Only purchase in this ultimate poor weak first quarter. Better be good. 😉

    • Alex murray says:

Goldberg also returned on the RAW after wrestlemania in 2003. But that’s already been put out on dvd

      • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

best part of his WWE “adventure” for sure, when he asked The Rock, “…so, you wanna know who’s next..!?!” 😉

        • SCSA says:

          For me remembering the best as of now that I’d like to see after Wrestlemania, I’d say;

WM6; what happened when Warrior came on RAW?
WM10; when Bret was champ again.
WM13; Did Austin speak after his Submission match whilst not submitting?
WM14; DX screwed by Tyson – we know about X-Pac joining DX which was shown so many times now, though I’d like to see Austin come out on this set w/his new Championship.
WM17; Austin & McMahon joining forces.
WM18; Did Austin have any bad storylines on RAW the next night after his match at WM18 which he was unhappy with or had he as VinMan said, juat picked up his ball & gone home?
          WM19; A great match w/HBK & Y2J – what happened the next night?
WM21: The same w/HBK Vs Angle.

I’d also like to see the RAW after WM9, though I’ve been hearing that that wasn’t recorded on time or something?!

          • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

WM 6 happend in 1990, hence, the only way that there would have been a RAW the next night would be if it happend in the Twilight Zone. 😉

  13. Tommy D says:

Maybe we can FINALLY get the DX reformation the night after Mania 14 with Funk/Cactus .vs. NOA Cage Match.

  14. SCSA says:

Wow! This sounds interesting Of course I hope this includes all WM RAW’s including the one w/Benoit when winning the title!

    • RabidHeat says:

Your seriously holding out hope for a Raw centred around Benoit to be included? Seriously?

      • SCSA says:

Well yeah, I mean HHH & Evolution surrounding Benoit on RAW w/HBK coming in to save him w/a chair?!

We need some ‘Chris Benoit’ footage! They managed to show Benoit in ‘The true story of the royal rumble’ set, so why not in this set all based around a great triple threat championship match at Wrestlemania!

        • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Nobody can deny the greatness of the XX World heavyweight match.. that one and the rematch at Backlash are both on my top 5 list of best matches ever.

But.. we need to face the facts, that on releases like this up coming one, there simply will be no homage or celebration of Benoits WHC win..or for that matter other championships that he won.

Its actually a huge step taken on the True story of Royal Rumble release, that on the 2007 match, his entrance and the commentaries mentioning of him winning the Rumble are not deleted.

But..there’s a huge difference in showing actually Benoit being celebrated as a winner and champ…

Anthology releases, pre-June 2007 releases and the Network have everything intact.. guess, thats what we should settle with.

        • RabidHeat says:

Dude, you know what happened right? Yes, they will include multi-man matches involving Benoit as a small part of it, but not a whole Raw segment centered around Benoit being the underdog!
