Yesterday we spoke with Silvervision.co.uk, who told us they’ve heard rumblings of WWE planning a new DVD on The Rock for 2012, and expect it to happen, but don’t yet have solid details.
As you may have been following Amazon have put up a product listing for the new Rock DVD, with the scheduled release date of February 21st. Now they have also added a Blu-ray edition listing (here). It’s safe to say The Rock returns to WWE Home Video next year.
There does not look to be a planned name for the release yet, but we’ll have some exclusive information and insight into the content next week.
Royal Rumble 2012 looks to be the next WWE PPV to be released on Blu-ray disc format to North America, in February 2012.

Until then the PPV events of Vengeance, Survivor Series and TLC 2011 all look to be exclusive to DVD format in the region. However, all are expected on BD format in Europe.

I’m asking that same question myself! It’s all so the same thing they did before mania 26 with the shawn michael’s dvd coming out and not adding the final match of his career. Some times WWE makes dumb decisions.
Why don’t they wait until after WM28 so they can add the Cena angle and match to complete his career/comeback in the documentary?
I’m glad that Royal Rumble 2012 will be released on BD instead of only via DVD. Just wonder if the DVD and BD will be just like the Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD and BD. A 4 disc DVD set and 3 disc BD set.
Wrestlemania’s are the only PPVs that I buy unless its a PPV that I attend. so I’m hoping they just keep releasing it on blu ray…

The reason the KOCH versions aren’t as rare because they weren’t store/website exclusive and rather a wide release in Canada like any other ppv. I just thought I’d throw that out there too.
But it’s the same event, same content, only the difference is the KOCH logo on the spine, back and disc and says “made in Canada”. Don’t get why the big price difference. It’s the same damn thing.

Perfect Royal Rumble 2012 comes out on Blu-ray for my birthday well actually on it.
Good to see the Rumble getting released as I’ve bought the last 2 on Blu, I was getting nervous when WWE stopped putting PPVs on Blu, I would have been highly upset if we didn’t get the Rumble or WrestleMania on Blu.
