Damn screw the UK
Sorry for being off topic, but for those who are interested, the Greatest WM Main Events is available for pre order. And for those looking to import, Amazon UK doesn’t appear to ship to the states anymore and wwedvd.co.uk doesn’t have it for pre order. The only option is Germany via ebay. They only have four left though.
To bad the united States gets sh** on now for dvd releases
Did someone already mention that those new releases actually have their share of bad editing as well? (I vaguely remember someone listing the Boss Man hanging being removed from WrestleMania 16. or am I misremebering that?)
of course that being said, almost literally every WWE dvd has some slight edits compared to the live broadcasts. this isn’t limited to rereleases either.
for example, this imdb page (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0439335/alternateversions) lists the edits made to the dvd release of WrestleMania 21 compared to the initial live ppv.
I hoping for the same (in Canada) but looking very doubtful, in’t it?
But let’s see what happens. In the meantime I have left 10-12 DVDs sealed and I open these gradually to get my ‘new’ WWE DVD fix.
The synopsis says: “The two biggest WWE brands collide in one EPIC collection…”
What two brands collide at those Manias? What am I missing?
To me it’s referring to popularity of the Attitude Era and WrestleMania.
Ok. Just an odd choice of words. I never heard of the attitude era being referred to as a brand before.
Maybe I’m too hopeful since the physical media market isn’t what it used to be in the States, but I’m still holding out hope that we some day get newly updated releases of past big 4 events. It doesn’t even have to be new anthology sets, they can just give standalone releases of these events, similar to the US WrestleMania re-releases, but obviously restore the WWF references and the music they have rights to once again, and not just the anthology discs repackaged.
