Verdict on Austin/Rock DVD in 2012, Big $5.99 WWE DVD Sale, & More

January 7, 2012 by Daniel Bee

Rob sent word that Best Buy’s website has many WWE DVDs on sale for only $5.99 each, with supposedly free shipping too.

Stand out $5.99 titles: Edge: Decade of Decadence, Twisted Disturbed Life of Kane, Eddie Guerrero: Viva La Raza, History of Intercontinental Championship, Life and Times of Mr. Perfect, Ric Flair Definitive Collection (and Ultimate), Hardy Boys: Twist of Fate, Triumph & Tragedy of World Class, Ric Flair & Four Horsemen, Mick Foley Greatest Hits & Misses (Hardcore Edition or standard), Hulk Hogan Anthology, Legacy of AWA, Roddy Piper Story, McMahon, ECW Blood Sport, Jake Roberts: Pick Your Poision and Rise and Fall of ECW .

There are also many others WWE DVDs at $6.99. Check out everything over here.

This week Jim Ross tweeted the following about a possible Stone Cold vs. The Rock DVD in the Greatest Rivalries series.

I’m unaware of a rivalry DVD being planned for @steveaustinBSR & @TheRock at this time. More erroneous rumors.

For the record this DVD was indeed planned last year and listed on WWE’s schedule, but JR’s tweet puts to rest new rumors of it being in the works for 2012. It seemed unlikely WWE would go ahead with it this year, soon after their new individual releases on Austin and Rock.

WWE Vengeance 2011 is now available on both DVD and Blu-ray formats in the UK.

The only way to get it right now in Europe is by placing your order here.

Liam sent word that Zavvi stores (UK) are running an “up to 60% off” WWE DVD sale.

There are Blu-ray’s included, such as Royal Rumble 2009 (£7.95), Bragging Rights 2010 (£8.95), Hell in a Cell 2010 (£8.95), Best of Smackdown 09-10 (£9.95) and Best PPV Matches (£9.95).

I don’t care if I don’t see the Austin/Rock rivalry set for a long time anyway. Although they were great matches, I’m tired of seeing the same 3 WM matches over and over again on different sets. The Austin blu-ray satisfied me for a while with Austin matches.

4 god-sake plz just bring out the Austin/Rock DVD/Blu-Ray! Why advertise it? Get me hyped n then cancel it? N if ur WWE aint bringin it out cos the separate Austin / Rock DVD/Blu-Ray, then dont worry! I n many people will still buy it! Even if theres a few of the same matches on each set! PLZ JUST RELEASE IT!

Does anyone know if they release WWE PPV’s on Blu-ray in Australia?

it probably is too early for a austin/rock rivalry dvd with austins just coming out and the rocks is coming in 2 months or so.
doing an austin/mcmahon,mankind/undertaker,undertaker/kane or wcw/wwf rivalry would seem better for now.
@wwedvdnews–i appreciate the heads up on the sales–my nephew is 5 and getting heavy into wrestling and even though i have all these it is a cheap way to keep him entertained.

I notice that WWE DVDS are most expensive in the UK compared to AUS and the US
