  1. Salim says:

Why was this made so early? TLC and Survivor Series had a lot of great matches.

  2. Garry says:

How can you make this DVD with it still being 2012?? TLC had some great match ups. And Survivor Series had a good elimination tag team match. Some of the matches don’t even deserve to be on here.

  3. Ben says:

3 disc set and only 10 matches? What the hell is this? Usually 3 disc sets have a whole first disc filled with somthing and have 20 matches across the last two discs. This set is just lazy- does not justify 3 discs.

Regardless, I’m dissapointed with so many matches that deserve to be on here that aren’t. Punk/Jericho Mania, Cena/Lesnay Extreme Rules, Punk/Jericho Extreme Rules, Ziggler/Jericho SummerSlam?

    • Chris says:

I agree, also f*** Blue Ray. They are really starting to strong hand you into buying it w/ putting 4 extra matches on Blue Ray only. F*** that. Blue Ray adds almost nothing – it’s not that much better picture quality.

  4. X-23 says:

This might be random but is anyone else sad that WWE never made a “Best PPV Matches of 2010” DVD? These Best PPV matches sets are some of my favorites. The 2009-2010 set stops at WrestleMania 26 and the Best of 2011 obviously starts at the beginning of that year… so there’s a huge gap there.

    • Tony Kegger says:

A best of 2010 would have been nice because the Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan match from Bragging Rights was very good that year. And I would love to see that WWE vs. Nexus match from SummerSlam.

  5. Anonymous says:

    Superb match listing but no:
    • Punk v Jericho extreme rules
    • fatal 4 way from Over the Limit
    • no mysterio, del rio, sin cara or miz on DVD or blu ray at all, maybe the fatal 4 way at night of champions could of made the cut??

I’d of also loved the DVD to of been called Best of WWE PPV matches 2011-2012 and the matches from survivor series and TLC 2011 featured on here!
    • The Rock & Cena v Miz & R-Truth from survivor series 2011
    • Triple H v Kevin Nash (sledgehammer ladder) from TLC 2011
    • Big Show v Mark Henry (chairs match) from TLC 2011

  6. I think the Punk/Bryan match from OTL was better. But they were all great so I’m fine with that one.

Other than that I have no complaints. And that cover is aweome!

  7. Luke says:

Not a single match from Extreme Rules on the DVD?

  8. still a fan says:

So sick of the complaining. I thought that we were all wrestling fans. If you don’t like it then find something else to bitch about. Leave these sites for the real fans. As for me, i love this dvd every year. It gives me a chance to catch up on things I may have missed. Speaking of thanksgiving, u should all be thankful the wwe releases all this great footage for us to enjoy year after year.

  9. alvaro says:

Ill pass. garbage DVD, this year was garbage in wwe. I give it like 5 more years tops then wwe will be gone. Wwe is dying

    • Dave says:

Yet you still watch every week just for the sake of bitching.

LOL! at WWE dying…you must be delusional.

      • Maple Leaf says:

hey folks, its dave … the nuthugger who agrees with everything wwe does.

don’t give us your “wwe is the largest wrestling company in the world” speech. don’t comment if people say stuff you dont like to hear.

ecw and wcw went out of business. only a delusional like yourself would think wwe wont go outta business. then again, you’re already delusional for following the crap product it is today.

        • James says:

Anybody who thinks they will be out of business in 5 years is completely divorced from any form of reality. “ECW and WCW went out of business so WWE will too” Umm, what? Do I even need to point out how dumb that sounds?

“You don’t like the product” is not a valid reason for thinking they will go under. There’s plenty of music, movies and television shows that I PERSONALLY don’t like, yet they make money. Do your homework before making comments like that.

        • Dave says:

Hey look, its Maple Leaf who thinks he’s cool just because he HATES WWE and trashes anyone who likes it.

We get it you hate WWE…maybe you should watch something else and leave sites like these for ACTUAL fans….not some phony who bitches and moans about a fictional show and bashes others for being fans. Lighten up its entertainment.

          • Maple Leaf says:

i watch ufc, thats what makes me cool and yet u still follow this crap wrestling product.

            • Dave says:

Then maybe you should go to UFCDVDNews.com…oh wait, there isn’t one…yet you come here to trash others that like WWE.

If you call 2 half naked men rolling around each for 5 minutes and 30 second fights entertainment that they charge $65 for…then good for you!

            • Garry says:

Then why are you on this website? Since you’re so cool and what not.

  10. WOIBARRAH says:

    Punk Vs Bryan OTL???
Punk Vs Jericho ER Or WM?
    Lol.

  11. Philip says:

My God, that match listing is beyond atrocious! Most of the matches are pointless and/or inconsequential, and the supposed “big” matches were all massive letdowns (Rock vs. Cena and Brock vs. Triple H).

    A “must miss” for me.

  12. Charlie F says:

I usually really look forward to this set being released every year. But this year it seems blah. It seems like last years set had many more matches on it. Jericho should have had a match on here, he had so many good ones when he came back.

  13. Ryan c says:

Theres a easter egg extra on the attitude blu ray disc 1 on the special features “an evening at the friendly tap” click right and jbl talks about it

  14. nightmare says:

I’ll pass there was only a few good matches this year and I already seen those .

I think I really good release would be the History of The Nexus I mean that was amazing idea and I am kind of shocked that they didn’t release a video on it .

  15. Anonymous says:

In my opinion it should have been a 4 disc set and should have had these matches

Disc 1 : Dolph Zigger VS CM Punk – Royal Rumble, World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match – Elimination Chamber, End Of An Era Hell In A Cell Match – Wrestlemania 28, Chris Jericho VS CM Punk – Wrestlemania 28, and The Rock VS John Cena – Wrestlemania 28

Disc 2 : Daniel Bryan VS Sheamus – Extreme Rules, Chris Jericho VS CM Punk – Extreme Rules, John Cena VS Brock Lesnar – Extreme Rules, World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four Way – Over The Limit, Christian VS Cody Rhodes – Over The Limit, and Daniel Bryan VS CM Punk – Over The Limit

Disc 3 : #1 Contenders Tornado Tag Team Match – No Way Out, Daniel Bryan VS Kane VS CM Punk – No Way Out, World Heavyweight Championship Money In The Bank Ladder Match – Money In The Bank, Daniel Bryan VS CM Punk – Money In The Bank, and Rey Mysterio VS The Miz – Summer Slam

Disc 4 : Brock Lesnar VS Triple H – Summer Slam, Randy Orton VS Dolph Ziggler – Night Of Champions, Alberto Del Rio VS Sheamus – Night Of Champions, John Cena VS CM Punk – Night Of Champions, and Ryback VS CM Punk – Hell In A Cell

It’s kind of a disappointing thing to see that they didn’t include that many great matches on here >_>

  16. Maple Leaf says:

all those matches could very well just be a 2 disc set.

  17. Brad Attitude says:

    the first 10 months only?

guess cant complain since a majority of good matches are on there.

    • Anonymous says:

I don’t know why they don’t just release it 2 months later, which would give them time to include content from November and December.

  18. John Anderson says:

Hmmm, this is a good collection of matches. I would say this is a very decent set if you want a good retrospect of WWE’s best PPV matches of 2012. If it was a perfect world I would have liked to see the following included:

    Royal Rumble 2012:
Mark Henry vs. Big Show vs. Daniel Bryan (C) – World Heavyweight Championship – Cage Match (**1/2)

    Extreme Rules:
Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk (C) – WWE Championship – Chicago Street Fight (****)

    No Way Out 2012:
Kane vs. Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk (C) – WWE Championship (****)

    SummerSlam:
Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler (***1/2)

    • Tony Kegger says:

I would have liked Ziggler vs. Jericho. I’m surprised that they didn’t include Punk vs. Jericho, but Bryan vs. Sheamus was the better match. I’m also shocked that MOTY contender Cena vs. Lesnar isn’t on it, but that could be because of the blood.

  19. james says:

Content looks good, but it seems really thin. No way I pick this up full price, I’ll get it used a year or two from now. I’m not really the market for these PPV sets but there is some decent stuff.

  20. Marco says:

I hate it when a single disc only has three or four matches on it.

    • Dave says:

The first disc for example will run at least 2.5 hours…the HIAC match alone runs close to an hour – counting promo, entrances and aftermath. Same deal with the Elimination Chamber match.

      Its quality over quantity.

  21. Daniel says:

Ok this is going to be a good start to 2013 with Blu Rays with this and Raw 100 moments great lineup

  22. John Peterson says:

I like the listing.i wish they would of put the Chicago street on hereamd i would have traded the divas match at otl for the fatal 4 way.but satisfied with the matches

  23. Justin F says:

If only WWE was patient enough to wait until early 2013 to release a “BEST OF 2012” dvd…

  24. Anonymous says:

To all the people asking why Survivor Series/TLC get left out, it’s because the set enters production before those PPVs happen.

  25. Anonymous says:

Why is it that they always leave out matches from the last two PPVs of the year??

  26. t says:

Looks good, anybody guessing whether Freemantle producing CM Punks set?

    • Mark D says:

CM Punk’s set is already available from Silver Vision

      • t says:

Yes, but I want to wait for his career end set, then compare and buy 1 of them. Why buy his first set if he will get more complete ones? Money doesn’t come for free. 😉

        • Vincenzzzzzo says:

So… basically you’re asking when the new Europe distributor will be releasing CM Punks FINAL DVD set??? A DVD set that probably won’t be confirmed on this site for at least another 6-7 years?? LOL! If I read that correctly, then you have a LONG while to wait until then, dude.

        • Mark D says:

As I understand, yes FremantleMedia will re-produce ‘Best in the World’. However before another Punk set is released, I am almost 100% you will be able to pick it up very cheaply. After all Silver Vision (as part of their Black Friday sale) have sets from earlier this summer for less than £10.

Plus we’re just a few weeks from Christmas, if you’ve been good this year, you could ask Santa! 😉

    • Straightedge47 says:

They should do, they said they will be selling the exiting catalogue as well as the new releases, so everything other than Silvervision’s tagged classics should be re released.

  27. m.blier says:

the wwe title elimanation chamber match not on this set is a real shame, and the punk vs jericho match at extreme rules also missing is a bigger shame.the diva match takes a big match away from this set.the best move was inserting the two night of champions matches.

    • Cody says:

I agree it seems like they just overlook the matches and just put random matches they think we will like to see on a best ppv matches set and I think they should have included at least one of Jerichos matches on this DVD and not have the divas match at all and replace it with the cm punk and daniel bryan or the fatal 4 way world title match from over the limit and they shouldn’t put rock vs cena on here because it has a dvd of its own and its just taking space from another main event like CM Punk and Jericho from Mania.

  28. Cody Schields says:

Can’t believe neither of the Punk vs. Jericho matches made this set. Their match at Wrestlemania was better than the Rock vs. Cena, (which already had it’s own set devoted to it, so it could have been skipped.) Don’t agree with X-23 on the Lesnar vs. Cena match. From an actual good match standpoint, Lesnar’s return has been a dud. He beats the hell out of people and uses the one submission hold he learned in UFC making for 2 boring return matches.

    • Anonymous says:

I agree I was actually expecting at least one of the main events from extreme rules to be on this set and I think they should have included at least one of the CM Punk and Jericho matches like the one at wrestlemania because the rock and cena one has a set of its own and I think WWE is overlooking some of the really good matches like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan at over the limit and the fatal 4 way world title match from over the limit too and the triple threat wwe title match from no way out

    • Anonymous says:

Yes a 5 minute diva match is the exact reason a 30 plus minute match is bumped

  29. X-23 says:

A lot of my picks were chosen. However, it’s a crime that John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar was not included! It was clearly one of the year’s best matches. Lesnar only wrestled twice in all of 2012… why not include it?

    • Dave says:

It was on Lesnar’s Blu-ray last month…if it was on this, you will have people bitching about “repeats”.

      • indyfan says:

And then you have losers bitching about others bitching about repeats. WWE s goal should be to have fans purchase all dvd sets. So they shouldn’t include repeats.

      • Maple Leaf says:

daniel bryan vs cm punk from money in the bank was on cm punk’s dvd/bluray set. if that can be repeated, i dont see why lesnar vs cena can’t.

  30. Ivan Santos says:

I dont know how they can announce this when the year has not already finish.. TLC will have some good matches 4 sure… Listing could be better but its fine for the not PPV collectors

  31. John says:

Good listing! Will pick it up!

  32. Vincenzzzzzo says:

Looks good. Happy with the Blu-ray exclusives too. The Daniel Bryan / Sheamus 2 out of 3 falls was a great match that I’ll be glad to own on Blu-ray finally. Good to have the Punk / Ryback match on here as well. I’ll definitely be picking up that Blu-ray.

  33. Dave says:

YES! YES! YES! Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan 2/3 Falls is Blu-ray exclusive!!

Not a bad list, some were expected. Surprised the Triple Threat with Punk/Bryan/Kane didn’t make it.

    • t says:

Yes, I agree. Do I overlook sth or is NO match on this set connected with the ANGER MANAGEMENT-/AJ storyline?

    • Tony Kegger says:

I was strongly thinking of getting this so I could have Trips vs. Taker and Rock vs. Cena and Punk vs. Bryan MitB. Now I’m like 99% likely to get it because they included this year’s #2 match of the year on Blu-Ray: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus.
