We can now reveal the official cover artwork for The Best of Raw & Smackdown 2012. This one will be the second WWE title released in 2013, and the DVD and Blu-ray hit stores in the United States on January 29th (pre-order your copy here).
Plans may have changed regarding the number of discs included, as the artwork reveals the DVD version will be comprised of 3 discs. Best of Raw & Smackdown 2012 was scheduled to be a 4-Disc DVD and 3-Disc Blu-ray set, the same format as the last installment.
Relive all the best prime time action featuring John Cena, CM Punk, Sheamus, Randy Orton, and all the top Superstars in WWE. The best of Raw & SmackDown includes Brock Lesnar’s shocking return to WWE, The Rock’s concert as part of the buildup to his match with Cena, the reunion of D-Generation X at Raw 1000, Zack Ryder trying to survive a Falls Count Anywhere Match with Kane, Sheamus vs Randy Orton on SmackDown, Anger Management Class with Daniel Bryan and Kane… and so much more.
Stay tuned for the content reveal soon, and in the meantime you can pre-order a copy for January 29th, 2013 by clicking here. It will be available February to fans in Australia at WWEDVD.com.au, and follows later in the year to the UK and Europe.
Nice cover!
I am seriously hoping for some Shield on this DVD I don’t care if its only a little bit I want some shield moments on this DVD!!!! The cover is absolutely amazing I’m loving the fact that Damian Sandow is on the cover and Team Hell No
Here’s the matches I’d put on here off the top of my head:
•No Disqualification Match for the WWE Championship: CM Punk vs Mark Henry – RAW 4/16/12
•Randy Orton vs Sheamus – SmackDown 5/18/12
•CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan – RAW 5/28/12
•Sheamus vs Dolph Ziggler – SmackDown 6/1/12
•Sheamus vs Chris Jericho – SmackDown 7/13/12
•Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz vs Christian – SmackDown 7/27/12
•Street Fight: Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan – RAW 7/30/12
•Triple Threat Match: Chris Jericho vs Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz – RAW 8/13/12
•Steel Cage Match: CM Punk vs Jerry Lawler – RAW 8/27/12
•Sheamus vs The Miz – SmackDown 10/5/12
•CM Punk vs Mr. McMahon – RAW 10/8/12
I’m not an Orton fan, but he’s one of the main eventers, and he’s not on the cover, bit weird?
Sweet cover!
A bit off topic, but w/ all of WWE’s new programming this year, I would love to see a set which combines the best matches from NXT, Main Event, Saturday Morning Slam & Superstars, perhaps a 3-Disc set w/ a disc ea. dedicated to NXT & Main Event & the 3rd disc combining Slam & Superstars, seeing as many people don’t get the chance to watch these shows & NXT has been the WWE’s best show of 2012.
Oh course Triple H has to bury everyone by being on the side.
Typical smark comment…blaming HHH for everything.
2012 has been one helluva year for Raw and SD. Great matches and promos. Must-buy for me!!!
love it except for the spine with hhh
Wow, cool cover! Very eye-catching.
They should release this set a month later so they can include content from the entire yer, not just January to October or November.
This is good news because the Best of Nitro cover could be just around the corner. It comes out two weeks after this, presumably we will see it in two weeks….hopefully.
This is a fantastic cover! The potential of cutting this back too 3-Discs is a bit disappointing, seeing as RAW had a very strong start to 2012 and the added fact it has moved to 3hrs providing even more content, but I guess the last 6 months for both shows has been pretty bland. Hoping for all the matches mentioned here, plus Punk vs. Henry, Sheamus vs. Sandow & Ziggler vs. Jericho…just to name a few of my favs.
I’d like to see one of the most underrated tv matches of the year, the Punk v Henry no-DQ match from London for the WWE Title to make the cut. I was there live and it was a really fun match! Have watched it a couple of times since then and it’s still great.
awesome cover
Cover looks pretty good. Like someone already said, one of the matches I hope is on here is the Punk / McMahon street fight from RAW. Looking forward to the Blu-ray exclusives too.
I hope for the following matches
The two Cm Punk and Daniel Bryan Matches from Raw and Smackdown
Sheamus Vs Chris Jericho
Sheamus Vs Bryan Street Fight
Punk Vs Mr.Mcmahon
Daniel Bryan Vs Dolph Ziggler
John Cena Vs Alberto Del Rio Falls Count Anywhere Match
Plus I like to Jericho’s Return on here and the Daniel Bryan and AJ Yes Shoutout
FEED ME RAW and SMACKDOWN
Sick badass cover
Sick cover, I like the fact that the Tag Team Champions and Damien Sandow are on the cover as well. Excellent cover overall.
I love these DVDs. Every year there are always great TV matches & moments that would be forgotten if not for sets like these.. I wish they had started earlier. I would totally buy The Best of RAW & Smackdown 2006, 2007, 2008, etc
Hopefully this will have the CM Punk vs. Vince McMahon match, along with the aforementioned Sheamus/Bryan street fight and some of the Heath Slater ‘legends’ matches.
I guess they realised not enough good stuff had happpened to fill 4 discs, lol.
Nicely done. Too bad Yoshi Tatsu didn’t make the cover, but what can you do…
So RAW goes to 3 hours, permanently from late July on, and yet they are cutting this release down more. For 2010 we got a 3 disc RAW and 3 disc SD set. For 2011 we get a 4 disc combined set, and then for 2012 we get a 3 disc combined set. Oh well, really hoping Sheamus vs. Bryan Street Fight from July is on here. I was front row center, so would be cool to own that.
Just now noticed Trips on the spine, ha.
Team Hell No! I’m getting this DVD!
nice aj lee pic,by the way is that ryback using the peoples eye brow.
I’m sure it is only 3 discs because Raw & Smackdown! Have pretty much sucked for a while now
People have been saying that the last 10 years…but yet continue to watch. Smarks are never happy with WWE, no matter what. They love to put their nostalgia goggles now and claim how previous years were the best ever…but the fact is eras like Attitude and Ruthless Aggression got as much hate then.
Well regardless of that its pretty obvious that the importance of Smackdown has been toned down over the last year or so and I think that might have something to do with the DVD sets being scaled down too. The stand alone Best of Smackdown sets would become quite weak otherwise. If they are going for quality over quantity then that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Eck. Not nearly as good as last year’s.
