This auction for the original WWF WrestleMania 15 DVD (released in 1999) finished up on eBay yesterday for a whopping $76!
There’s another chance to get hold of that coming, as this eBay seller has auctions live for WrestleMania 15 through 18 at more reasonable prices.
Currently there is no indication that WWE will re-release those events in addition to WM15.
I got wm-17 for $70
I bought my Original Wrestlemania XV Copy for 11 Bucks three yrs ago at a place called Zia’s.
The best WWE dvd release is the Monday Night War. They should do a rerelease and have it be a three dvd set. Extend the documentary also…
WOW! didn’t realize WM 15 goes for that much. So glad i picked up majority of the WWF labeled DVDs i needed when WWF changed to WWE and stores were clearing out all WWF titles.
Mid-2002 was probably the best time for collectors looking for WWF DVDs, they were so easy to find in stores. I found WM15-18 in the bargain bin at Walmart with 2 for $10 stickers on them and basically all 2000-2001 (all brand new) DVDs at Future Shop, Best Buy, Blockbuster and HMV ranging from $5 to $15.
I remember Zellers (Canadian equivalent to Target) had titles like Hardy Boyz Leap of Faith, Hardcore, Action, Stone Cold What! and quite a bit of others for about $3. I had to go couple times a week to see if any other titles were added.
The longer these titles are OOP, the more value. People should jumped on them when they had the chance…now people are paying an arm and leg for WM17 for example.
Okay Thank You Daniel .
I have a question can a wwe dvd from amazon.ca , Worked on a US DVD player ?
If the DVD you are ordering is actually Canadian, then yes. The US and Canada share Region 1.
Wrestlemania 15 was the first DVD I ever bought back in 1999. Don’t think I’ve watched the whole thing since WM15 was pretty weak IMO. But it was their first DVD so I had to have it.
I bought the C.M. Punk plaque can’t wait until it comes in!
DAMM i bought wm 15 like in 03 on tape for 8 bucks thank god i found it cheep lol
Holy shit $76 for WrestleMania 15?! I bought my copy in Like New condition about a year and a half ago for about $25 on Half.com.
Who’s that guy on the Backlash DVD cover? 😉
That’s Chris Benoit dude…wrestling’s version of the Antichrist.
Once again, I’m glad WWE is finally releasing the pre-show matches. There was no reason to not include the pre-show matches on previous releases. It’s sad that it took them this long to realize they should be included.
Daniel Bee, do you know if the Elimination Chamber 2013 Blu-ray will be available in Canada?
So far haven’t seen any listing. Might have to end up getting on ebay if its not available here.
where do you usually purchase your dvds/blu rays?
I buy my Blu-rays from Amazon.ca. Its expensive, but i use Amazon gift certificates that i get from Swagbucks.
Stores around my area hardly carry WWE Blu-rays. The Best Buy near my house only have RR 2012, WM28 and Epic Journey of the Rock. Very crappy selection.
yeah the best buy here said they won’t be carrying wwe blu rays anyonre..dumb.
I’ve started to buy most of my stuff from the ebay seller Blowitoutahere, very reasonable prices, and great shipping rates to Canada if you buy a few.
you might as well buy the elimination chamber blu ray from ebay for 40, i wouldn’t hold my breath for it to be released here.
Ello 🙂 Sorry, I don’t know either way. Usually there’s some indication like a listing on Amazon.ca but I see there’s not this time. That said, Canada did get all the other Blu-rays that were Best Buy exclusive, right? It would be odd if you are the only region not to get it (US, Australia and UK definitely are).
Out of interest, as a Canadian, do you get a little peeved that WWEDVDNews doesn’t really mention the Canadian release dates or link to anything for you guys? Just something I wonder when writing articles. Hope to cover Canada a little better here in the future. Just difficult without receiving information for it.
We did get the BB exclusive Blu-rays in 2010, it’s only the BB exclusive content we don’t get here. Not really peeved since its assumed releases cover Canada too. For some reason PPV DVDs/Blu-rays are releases 1 week after the US. EC 2013 however is releasing in June over here, so possibly the Blu-ray will come out then.
I haven’t seen the new WM re-releases here – not even at Walmart.
We hardly get great deals here and WWE Blu-rays are all in the $30-$40 range (even the older releases like WM25, HIAC 2010, etc.).
If I could do the War Games set, I would not include every single War Games. I’d pick the best ones people remember aka the good ones. But show the matches and promos that lead to the War Games being needed.
I’d take these ebay ending prices with a grain of salt. From my experience, if you’re selling anything wrestling related on ebay, the odds of they buyer actually paying for the item are 50/50.
Is that what WM 15 DVDs usually go for? I bought one in really good condition a couple months for $35. It seemed expensive at the time but maybe I got a good deal.
That one is not usually anywhere near $76 in my experience!
I got mine for $11 about 2 years ago, but even after that I have never seen WM 15 for this much…
Got mine for 17$!
Speaking of Wrestlemania Daniel bee how rare is Wrestlemania 16 . far as pricing goes , Because today on amazon . I brought it Brand New for $28.45 I was shocked and happy 🙂
Again, as far as I’ve always seen WM16 usually fetches more than 15 and the price you got it for seems pretty good. 🙂
Should I get my hopes up for the War Games dvd set? Hopefully they have a hidden gem like they had on the Horseman dvd.
I paid approx 35 Dollars for WM 15 for the region 2/ UK version in 2000.
