WrestleZone reports that WWE now has a new Edge DVD in the works, according to sources.
Back in February/March of this year WWE was considering releasing a new Edge DVD for late 2011, as it was listed in the “TBD” section of their schedule draft at that time.
As of now we cannot confirm the Edge DVD to be planned, but it’s very plausible given his recent retirement and since Adam Copeland’s last release (A Decade of Decadence, 2008) did not include a biographical presentation on his career.
All incoming WWE DVD titles for the remainder of this year are now set, so if the new Edge DVD is indeed going ahead then expect to see it during 2012.
Is this a DVD you’d get excited about? Leave a comment below with your thoughts!
i want this new edge dvd is it on dvd and blue ray
Of course.
I friggin love Edge! The only DVDs I buy are the ones that have Edge in them!
OMG YESSS!!!! This made my day 🙂
OMG HELLL YEAH I LOVE EDGE
I agree with a lot of the list for his best matches but also throw in the 2009 no way out world heavyweight title match and I’ll be good
I am excited for a second edge dvd
the majority of kevin nash’s world title wins were tainted. asking for a kevin nash dvd would be like asking for another hulk hogan dvd set.
i hope cm punk and triple h geta dvd in 2012
I disagree with the guy who said a Kevin Nash dvd would not sell well, he was a major player in the 90’s and if they make a dvd on him, I would include that six man tag match Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Macho Man against DDP Sting and Lex Luger from Nitro in 1997. It makes me so sick that the Little Jimmy’s don’t have a clue who Kevin Nash is and John Cena can’t do no wrong in their eyes, I would love to see Cena do something like Jeff Hardy and see if the Little Jimmy’s still like him and I wish TNA major stars would get over what Jeff did he said he was sorry to him and he is off drugs, I think he means it this time, he’s more mature I think.
@Greg:
a kevin nash dvd wouldnt sell well. he was an awful wrestler with limited in-ring ability. name a match where he actually lead an entire match without having to rely one the other guy get him thru a good match. most of his good matches came when the guy he fought was usually better in the ring than him.
once again i want to c ur spear!!!plzz do it for me edge??
I think its highly likely this DVD is coming out because they shot off air footage for Edge appreciation night, where big names like Bret Hart and Trish STratus came out after not having much to do with that Smackdown show. Of course that could just be respect for him, but I really think its done with the notion that it will be part of his new DVD. Especiialy since its not shown on TV. Similar to Ric Flair’s DVDs.
Edge vs Hunter GAB 08 was pretty medicore, just two great workers going out there putting on a basic match.
they should put in his match vs triple h from great american bash 2008 as well. one of edge’s forgotten classics.
Kevin Nash is very underrated. He just has a different style and is a product of a different time. His matches with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were great and I thought his hell in a cell with HHH was good. He had good matches with Razor Ramon in 1994, Undertaker at Wrestlemania XII and he won several world championships. He was the first man to win all 3 major wwe championships within the same year (1994). He was a huge name that shook things up when it needed to be done in 1996 with the nWo. On that basis I think he deserves a DVD. Throw in Bash at the Beach 96 and Starrcade 98 and you got yourself a winner.
Regrding Edge, I’m not a fan of the idea of profiling a wrestler more than once, especially when there is no Ravishing Rick Rude or Davey Boy Smith DVD.
Kind of on and off topic does anyone thing, that wwf/e missed a golden oppurtinity with the edge/christian vs hardyz vs dudleyz, meaning I always thought they should have had the three teams end up in hell in a cell against each other, anyone else agree?
A Nash DVD must also include his Starrcade 1998 win over Goldberg for the WCW Title. Otherwise that list is pretty solid.
@Anonymous: That looks like a great lineup, definately Nash’s best moments. I think the DVD set would sell big. Fans of the 90s would definately dig it.
@Brad Attitude: Looks like Im not the only one whos insane. Must be a hard pill for you to swallow that Nash was a staplemark of the 90s and created alot of memorable moments and matches. His documentary would be very interesting especially when it came to talking about leaving the WWE for WCW and the days of the NWO. There could be a ton of stuff on this. Id laugh even harder if he had a dvd before CM Punk.
To Greg, if there was a Nash DVD I think they would have a list something like this.
1994 King of the Ring.
vs. Bret Hart.
1994 SummerSlam
vs. Razor Ramoan. IC title loss.
Madison Square Garden house show.
vs. Bob Backlund. WWF title win.
WrestleMania 11
vs. Shawn Michaels.
WCW Great American Bash 1996.
Kevin Nash Jackknifes Eric Bischoff off the stage.
WCW SuperBrawl VII
Outsiders vs. the Giant and Lex Luger
WCW Souled Out 1998.
vs. the Giant.
WCW World War 3 1998.
Nash wins 60 man Battle Royal.
WCW Slamboree 1999.
vs. DDP.
Need to include matches against Rob Van Dam (Vengeance), Christian (RAW & No Mercy), Kurt Angle (KOTR), John Cena (Unforgiven & Backlash 09), Chris Jericho (WM & Extreme Rules), The Undertaker (Backlash & SummerSlam), Shawn Michaels (Royal Rumble), Matt Hardy (Unforgiven & RAW), The Hardy Boyz (No Way Out & WM X-Seven), and D-Generation X(Cyber Sunday and New Years Revolution),
i agree Edge deserves this DVD. Can’t wait. I hope in 2012 we saw DVD biographys of Ted Dibiase which was supposed to come out in December and plus DVDs Like Kevin Nash, Rick Rude, and others. I sure since with Stone Cold DVD coming out in November we may seen one more DVD of The Rock but this time with a biography dvd it’s likely to happen plus with Triple H and THe Undertaker for sure when he retires i got to happen i sure it will.
The KOTR victory is for the KOTR set.
YES!Edge is great he deserves another dvd!Awesome news!
i hope the Edge dvd will have his 2001 KOTR victory over Kurt Angle and other matches that will be strong enough to overlook any matches he had with Chris Benoit, because they had some wonderful matches which are now lost.
@Greg: You must be insane to want a Kevin Nash dvd. He was an awful wrestler with limited in ring ability and most of his world title wins were usually tainted.
I think its time we get a Kevin Nash set, now that hes back with WWE it would be nice to get a career biography disc and 2 more discs full of matches from his early days in WCW (Oz, Vinnie Vegas) to his Rumble return earlier this year.
I would also like to see the same done for the Big Boss Man. Seems like hes been forgotten, which is too bad.
agree with you Roaster Edge in time but there are many many guys ahead of him. Oh you left out Ravishing Rick and Vader.
I’m a fan of Edge and everything but I’d prefer to see Macho Man(wish he was still alive would love to see what his speech would have been like),Jake The Snake,British Bulldog,Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard,Owen Hart,Brian Pillman,The Rock(likely to happen this coming year seeing as he’s involved already),Bob Backlund,Bruno,Mick Foley and sometime in the future when they do retire or TNA goes out of business Kurt Angle and Sting. Any combination of those would be nice although Edge would be ok if they did it. But a new dvd can be a good thing if done right(i.e. Chris jericho/Steamboat).
just wondering how Edge is an easy pick for the hall of fame this year…I could think of dozens of names more deserving.
awesome can not wait for a new edge dvd with doc
It makes perfect sense to create one now as Edge is still fresh in the minds of fans and the biography would cover his entire career
If there was to be another Edge dvd, they should do a biography on him since there wasn’t one on the 1st dvd. But match-wise, it should pick up where they left off. Since the last match on the 1st dvd was the Hell in a Cell against Undertaker, the 1st match on the new dvd would have to be his comeback match against Triple H & Kozlov for the WWE Title.
This would need to be on blu ray.
My match listing:
1. Edge vs. The Rock [Raw – 11/9/1998]
2. Edge & Christian vs. Hardyz [No Way Out 2000]
3. Edge, Christian, & Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin & APA [Raw – 1/15/2001]
4. Edge & Christian vs. Dudleyz [Royal Rumble 2001]

12. Edge vs. John Cena [Raw 2/16/2006]
13. Edge vs. Rob Van Dam [Vengeance 2006]
14. Edge vs. John Cena [Raw 12/18/2006]

23. Edge vs. Kane vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio [TLC 2010]
24. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio [WrestleMania XXVII – WITH BUILDUP VIDEO]
Some of these are obvious repeats, but the repeats are quite essential for the true Edge mark, and include some of the most cherished moments of Edge’s career.
I’d leave the Ziggler match for the PPV Matches ’11 set, Judgment Day 2008 for Undertaker’s inevtiable final blu ray set, the Punk/Jeff triple threat for Punk’s inevitable set (hopefully that’ll be on blu ray), the KOTR victory for the obvious KOTR set, any Smackdown Six stuff for when WWE decides to stop doing Benoit editing, and other Mysterio matches for what will be his inevitable final set (hopefully on blu ray too.)
Not excuted , he has just got one & there aren’t many great matches for him that aren’t included in hid 1st dvd.
How about Race , Dibiase , Buckland , Rude & 2nd Bret dvd sets ?
it will be great if they would do like a 4 disc set with a documentary and call it good on the edge releases.
im not a big fan either but the guy was one of the best heels in the business IMO
Another Edge set would be good if they just focused on quality as the main criteria for the match selection.
His first set had a lot of crap on it, stuff picked for ‘historical significance’ rather than being a good match.
There’s still lots of great Edge stuff out there for example Edge & Christian v The Hardys – No Way Out 2000.
It could be a good DVD set …I buy these sets to see GOOD matches not crappy TV match filler.
An HONEST documentary about his career (like the Rise and Fall of ECW) would be welcome as well.
I would like an edge dvd if it includes a documentary, otherwide I agree with the previous poster. I do not want another edge dvd
i must be the only one who wouldn’t want another edge dvd. then again i’m byus, not a huge edge fan. i think he was over rated, and i’m too much of a loyal hardy fan to forgive him. just my humble oppinion though.
Would love a DVD focused solely on the Edge & Christian tag team years………
Oh Yeah, EDGE documentry must be included. They should make it the same style as the upcoming Stone Cold DVD/Blu-Ray. Unless they wait until he gets into the WWE Hall of Fame. This is something I would love to buy!
that makes sense. Edge is an easy pick for the Hall of Fame next year. A second DVD should have the standard documentary and matches that were missing from the last set
I think all WWE fans will agree that an EDGE DVD would be fabulous, especially if it had some personal footage on it. I will be first in line when/if it comes out :o)
