Elimination Chamber 2011 on Blu-ray? Lots More WWE DVD News Inside

February 18, 2011 by Daniel Bee

I confirmed it with WWE today that Elimination Chamber 2011 will indeed be released on Blu-ray in USA/Canda.

The planned Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack is still going ahead.

Unless things change, the PPV will not be released on Blu-ray in Europe. At the moment Silvervision plan to only release it in the region on DVD, which you can view here.

That would be the first WWE Blu-ray exclusive to North America.

The Royal Rumble 2011 DVD, Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack and PPV poster are all now available to order at WWEShop.

The Home Video will ship on March 1st.

The Rock: Most Electrifying Man DVD has sold out at WWEShop multiple times since Rock’s return to WWE on Monday. They have however been quick at replenishing stock and it’s available right now.

Something is going on in the UK with the canceled Kofi Kingston “Boom! Boom! Boom!” DVD of 2010 that made it onto PPV in he USA.

It’s been classified by the BBFC (view) so in one form or another it’s likely to be released.

As a full retail DVD? Unlikely, but as a bonus disc included with a WWE magazine or book may just happen. We shall see.

No EliminationChamber BD in Europe? Damn, that sucks… I wanted to buy the PPVs on BD instead on DVD, but only if they will release the whole year on BD… :/

I’ll be getting the RR ’11 DVD for sure.

I like the idea of bonus discs. I could see it more with certain books than with magazines, but perhaps maybe 2 or so a year with special edition magazines. They could do one deserving current superstar who might not sell to well on it’s own (Morrison, Kingston), then one Legend (Superstar Graham, Valentine?). Just a thought.
