WWEDVDNews can confirm that the planned WWE DVD release Greatest Stars of the New Millenium DVD will now be named WWE: Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century.
As we revealed in a previous article, this set will be released on both 3-Disc DVD and 2-Disc Blu-ray formats July 26th in North America and follows later in other regions.
“Sure, we’re barely more than 10 percent of the way through the 21st century, but it’s not too early to look at some of the WWE superstars who are rewriting the record books on their way to squared circle immortality. Batista, John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Triple H are among the icons profiled in this action-filled compendium.“
Expect retail websites to update the title in the coming days.
Cena donot rules!
You can’t deny Cena and Batista been winning championships and having great matches, I hope they include Jeff Hardy on the list because he had some awesome matches during that era and I hope they have the Money in the Bank match from WrestleMania 23.
Nope. I don’t watch it anymore. I find the DVDs more interesting. But I have followed wrestling since 1990, so I think I can tell when its gone bad. ‘You like many other’ fans of this era just don’t like to hear the truth. They ARE dull. A berk is rhyming slang. It means Berkshire hunt.
What the hell is a berk man??? Whatever. Cena and Batista are not dull nor are many of the Stars of the last 10 years. You, like many other winey asses have stuck around and watched it through this era. No??
agtdark2023 is obviously some kind of berk. Cena and Batista obviosuly are two of the biggest stars of the era. Before you start calling people idiots maybe read what they’ve actually said. IDIOT.
WWE got to include Jeff Hardy on it and Shawn Michaels but why didn’t they leave the name the same, I mean Greatest Star’s of the 90’s was the best dvd of the year.
I just hope their only covering 2000-2009
A decade from now they can make a greatest stars of the 2010s with The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus etc … and watch DVD sales plunge!
looking forward to this set. I think this name sounds much better.
I have faith that Angle will be included. I’m not as confident about Brock but it would be nice.
Your a complete idiot if you think Cena and Batista are not two of the biggest of this era!!! I find it so funny that you all want to complain about wrestling these days being shaddy, but yet evrytime I turn around, here you all are, watching it and surfing the websites dedicated to it. Just learn to adapt to the changes in time and you will appreciate it a lot more. GO CENA!!!
Should’ve called it greatest superstars of the noughties
‘The 50 greatest wrestling DVD comments of The Internet’. When’s that coming out? Best bodyslam I ever saw was the Barry Horowitz vs. Bastion Booger classic. Or maybe that was just a DREAM match. The 50 Greatest Bell Rings would also be worth a pick up!
50 greatest body slams. 9 hours of john cena slamming the miz, for sure worth 25.99. or 50 greatest ric flair bleeding from the head moments. 9 hours of flair bleeding. not bad.
I think that’s the biggest problem with the name as we are only 11% of the way through the century, I suppose greatest stars of the noughties sounds lamer
I think it should be called ‘The Greatest Superstars of When Wrestling Really Started to Suck’. It will be pretty silly if they don’t put Lesnar on this after how much they shoved him down everyone’s throats. Cena, Batista. All the dull stars of the new 21st millenium 2000s century. Its such a dodgy era of wrestling that they can’t even think of a decent title for over a decade of material. The likes of Kurt Angle and RVD could save it, but they are out of favour no doubt.
Lame. Just call it the Greatest Superstars of the 2000’s.
I don’t mind this title. Because I don’t think in 10 years time they will remember to make a “greatest superstars of the 2010s” or however you’d say it.
Gotta say I prefer the old name ,
I know Benoit wont be on it…wonder who they put in his place cuz he def woulda been on it. Glad to see Jericho on it. Eddie should be on it and I really hope they dont overlook Kurt Angle who won every singles title and the King of the Ring within a year and had some awesome matches from 2000 to 2006 and for the love of God I hope the miz isnt on it. Cena and Batista are bad enough but expected.
Meh, I kinda liked the first title better
