Just picked up MitB 2011 today. This maybe the best WWE DVD release of the year, but, it certainly wouldnt have hurt to put, basically the best PPV since WM XXIV on BD. Its a 9.5/10 whether its in SD or HD, but, just IMAGINE the extras we would have got on BLU. Examples; all of Punk’s – & Cena’s – shoot-style promos leading up to MitB & Cena’s PPV quality match w/ Mysterio on RAW from 07/25 & Punk’s return – minus 5 hrs. of holding up the belts – from the same night. Man its depressing how great that sounds!

  3. Chris says:

Are you kidding me? The Punk shoot promo and contract negotiation segments from Raw aren’t Extras on this DVD? That is a crime. If they don’t want to do a blu ray I’m fine with that, but at the very least give us those Punk segments from Raw. We don’t need a meaningless interview from backstage.

  4. Mike Elmo says:

So what’s the reason for not releasing it on blu-ray?? Too many botches that they don’t want people to notice? Too empowering of a ppv to offer in high definition? I don’t understand how they can show it in HD live, but not release it in HD. Why show Raw & Smackdownin HD if you’re not going to release every ppv in HD, especially if you know people will buy it? I’ve been spoiled by WWE HD, and the only ones to blame for me being spoiled are WWE.
If I knew they weren’t going to release it in bluray, I would’ve started a “WE WANT THIS ON BLURAY” chant at the event!!

  5. Thomas says:

Love the new sleeve for WWE Money In The Bank 2011 dvd which is my favourite heel superstar CM Punk because he was only on front of the sleeve which was Cyber Sunday 2008 dvd & it makes a change that Rey Mysterio isn’t on the front of the 2011 sleeve of WWE Money In The Bank event

  6. x23 says:

eh… they should have had Cena and Punk looking face to face in an epic staredown! great match they had.

  7. TripleN says:

As long as Cena is not on the cover, I am happy

  8. Joe says:

Don’t like this cover at all. I love Punk, but this cover is bad. Very disappointed that none of Punk’s promos are extras either.

  9. Dan says:

The thing with capital punishment is that it was never listed on blu-ray.com. So it seemed unlikely to begin with. Bluray.com actually has this listed as a BB exclusive. Still a long shot but some hope is good enough.

    • Daniel Bee says:

It’s interesting the MITB Blu-ray is listed on blu-ray.com and as a BB exclusive, but Capitol Punishment was indeed going ahead on Blu-ray until recently. It was scheduled for quite a while and as a double disc BD set, but then removed not long after Silvervision over in the UK announced PPV Blu-ray cut backs.

  10. Tommy says:

I agree with everyone blu ray was a must here but too bad www won’t do it

Blu-ray would have been great for this event with the additional raw show because recent raw’s have actually been worth watching, unlike most of the ones that have been put onto blu-ray thus far.

  13. Paul says:

I like that Punk is on the cover but it’s a bad looking cover. It looks odd. They should have went with the photo of Punk blowing Vince a kiss as he was about to leave through the crowd with the WWE Title… I WANT IT ON BLU-RAY WWE!!!

  14. Mike Elmo says:

Nice job spoiling the Cena-Punk match, WWE! Just kidding… I was there in my hometown of Chicago, and I’m happy with this cover. I’m unhappy with the cancellation of the blu-ray version, though.

  15. Jordan says:

Thank God it wasn’t stupid Hornswoggle and Big Show in there pajamas reading a book.

  16. Daniel Bee says:

If like usual, the Bryan interview extra will be a minute or less!

Capitol Punishment Blu-ray is also on Best Buy’s website but I don’t think it was actually released.

  17. Tommy says:

I like it will buy the DVD for sure hopefully the Daniel Bryan interview is long

  18. Chris says:

It’s on BB’s site or is this just left over from before it was cancelled?

  19. Chris says:

So is the rumoured bestbuy exclusive Blu-Ray not true then 🙁

  20. Anonymous says:

From what I’ve heard they can’t keep putting the PPVs out of Blu-Ray because not enough of us are buying them. They have to sell a certain amount to cover the cost and they just aren’t selling

  21. Steve Giordano says:

I agree Brian; it’s unreal how all of a sudden the stop making blu rays; Maybe they would sell more if they actually made them easy to find in stores

  22. Anonymous says:

Thats pretty bad lol, I have seen other posters of him for Money in the bank that were actually professional..what the hell is this? Anyway can’t wait for the dvd!

  23. SRB says:

not a bad cover. i havent been a fan of the recent covers (Over the limit, OMG, ss2010) but this one isnt bad at all.

  24. brian says:

it would be nice to see the damn thing on blu ray. i mean the biggest angle in wwe in 10 years and they cant even produce it on blu ray? big mistake. i like the cover though.
