WWE Money in the Bank 2012 DVD Cover Revealed Featuring John Cena

July 19, 2012 by Daniel Bee

Yesterday WWE finalized the artwork for the Money in the Bank 2012 DVD release in August. It has now been uploaded to retail sites like Amazon.com and WWEDVD.com.au.

The cover features a shot of John Cena holding up the Money in the Bank briefcase after just winning the WWE Championship Contract ladder match.

Following the recent trend in North America, MITB is scheduled to be produced on DVD format only. You can get your pre-order in for August 14th by clicking here.

The MITB DVD hits Australia just three weeks later, when ordering over here.

It’s expected to be released on Blu-ray format in UK/Europe. Product listings are expected at Silvervision.co.uk very soon. Release times are not yet known.

Ugliest cover ever. I hate it. It looks like a cheap printed at home bootleg.
Actually, a printed at home bootleg would look better than this filthy disgusting garbage. Eeeewww, I wanna vomit.

  4. Anonymous says:

great cover, now definate first day buy imo

  5. Harry Faversham says:

Regardless of DVD covers, I dislike all big smiley pictures of John Cena. Regaring the spoiler debate, it doesn’t bother me that much, but just from a storytelling point of view its ass backwards. You wouldn’t write a book and print the last page on the cover. Its just another example of letting old standards slip. But times have changed.

  6. John Anderson says:

For a spoiler cover, this isn’t really all that awful.

  7. NickP says:

I just shook my head in disgust when Cena won the MITB ladder match, and I shake my head in disgust once again.

Positives of this dvd include CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan in another classic, and the future World Champion Dolph Ziggler winning his briefcase.

  8. kukku says:

    This is shit !!

  9. andrew S says:

I don’t really care about the cover but I think its ok, nothing special but nothing disastorous, however its better than last years cover ( let the hate begin). However I woulda had my man ziggler in the left hand side and sheamus and punk on the right

  10. Julien Caron says:

Okay guys how many wwe championships will Cena have before his career’s over?

  11. Daniel Bee says:

D’ya really think WWE cares (or even should care) that when you pull this DVD out in 5 years time you will instantly know what happens in the main event by the cover? No, for one they will care about shifting copies when it’s new, not when it’s reached (or far outreached) the end of it’s life cycle in stores. Also if an event/match was memorable enough all it takes to jog my memory about what happened in it is just reading the back of the case to see the match was.

I don’t know their marketing viewpoint on why they go for covers like this but you’d think a shot from the event which is synonymous with it, and instantly takes you back remembering it, would help more than PPV posters which oftentimes have nothing to do with what happened on the night.

    • UKWWEFAN says:

Well Said Daniel, You want something from the PPV on PPV DVD Covers not some random poster etc, By having this cover, 3-4 years down the line, when you pop it out and look at the cover your guna remember how good that ppv was just by the cover, and the match listing on the back,
For me if you dont know the results of ppv then why do you call yourself wrestling fans, it doesnt matter if you havent watched the ppv or if your not interested that much in the product no matter you will want to know the result and what happnd at the ppv,
like for me e.g back in 2007 i stopped watching wwe until 2009 as i couldnt watch it becuz i dint have sky and ma uncles used to record on vhs and watch that way but still i used to go on a computer in school when i was in school in those days i would check the result of that ppv and what happend cause i was eager to know,
No matter you will be tempted to know what happnd with that ppv, you will want to know the results,
The biggest Hypocrite wrestling fans are those who complain (Your entitled to your opinion) and then buy the DVDs, Merch etc,
Just enjoy the product and relax, thats what WWE is all about entertaining you, all my friends have said to me why do you watch WWE, its naked men jumping around wearing knickers and that and looking sweaty, i said i dont care you either love it or hate it, its something to watch, kick back and relax and entertain, thats what i love WWE for, Stop complaining about the DVD Covers, you guna buy the dvd to watch the ppv or are you going to sit there and just stare at the cover lol.
      Relax and enjoy!!

Whether you like it or not, Cena sells and makes money for Vince. If you don’t like it, do something…and not buy WWE DVDs or blu rays. I have no problem stating their opinion about covers, which clearly bugs other people, as can be seen by comments below.

What pisses me off is people who complain about the cover and then still buy the DVD. It’s like throwing money down the toilet.

  13. Dave says:

We can all bitch about the cover all we want, we’re still gonna end up getting it for our collections 🙂

  14. Dave says:

Last years cover “spoiled” the title match with Punk/Cena but that looked to have gotten a pass from you guys, because it was their favourite internet darling CM Punk.

    Anything with Cena is blasted.

This is why WWE considers the internet wrestling community a complete joke.

Seriously who gives a shit if the ppv was spoiled?!? like really?! The release is 1 month after the ppv, if you don’t know the results then tough shit…find a new wrestling promotion to watch because WWE is probably not for you.

So if i say Benoit won the Royal Rumble in 2004, did i spoil it for people that have not seen it eight years later?!?

People nitpick about everything around here…its getting ridiculous.

  15. oldschool says:

We just went from a PPV of the year in Money in the Bank 2011 to this crap. I will pass on this dvd for sure… I understand why Cena is on top but I do not like it one bit…

  16. Anonymous says:

It doesn’t really bother me that it’s Cena as much as that it’s a spoiler.

Cue somebody like Vincenzzzzzo now calling me lame, telling me not to exorcise my right to an opinion and saying “if you’re a fan, you must know what happened by now”. Yes, I realise that, but what about when you want to re-watch the event a few years later when you may have forgotten the result? THEN the result is spoiled.

  17. SRB says:

hahahaha is that cover for real? Watch me get beaten up when I bring that DVD over to my friend’s house. And I do see Ziggler. You just have to look hard. He’s right between the ladder and Cena’s crotch.

  18. mason says:

where is ziggler if they put one mitb winner put the other

  19. Anonymous says:

YUCK ANOTHER FRIGGIN CENA COVER!!! I agree with all the other commenters! I mean seriously why does the WWE have to revolve around this guy!! There is so many other great wrestlers out there! Look a CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, and many others as soon as they get a little spotlght BAM Cena has announcement and takes all the spotlight for himself! I’m a big fan of the WWE and have been since the early 90’s and having Cena in the spot he is in is REALLY EMBARRESING!!!

  20. Scsa says:

I’ve never liked Cena too, though I think that the cover looks good.

  21. Justin says:

I dont care that much for Cena but I think this is a pretty good cover. What would be really neat is if this was the front and they show Dolph winning his on the back with an insert of the matches or something.

  22. Anonymous says:

Typical fans always finding something too bitch about

  23. Dennis says:

Now I dont mind that the people who makes the dvd covers use actual photos from the event as it highlights important events during the show i.e. No Way Out 2012 but just showing John Cena winning the briefcase and not including Dolph Ziggler at least is asinine.

  24. nightmare says:

I had a feeling going into this ppv that he would win I feel it should have been Jericho I mean he has never won the Money in the bank and he been in alot of them .I mean this is once again John First Money match and good old Vince let him wins why .

Did you see how excited people where when they thought Jericho would win and has pissed people were when John one they booed him .

I just pray to god that he doesn’t win this Money night please don’t let it happen please .

  25. Brad Attitude says:

typical of wwe giving away the results for those who have yet to view the match itself.

    • Tony Kegger says:

Is John Cena winning a spoiler? Did anyone think he might now win? And how can anyone go a month without finding out the PPV results? Do they not watch RAW?

      • LP1 says:

Tony, apparently there are wrestling fans in the world who only follow WWE through their DVD releases. They don’t watch Raw or SmackDown ever because those shows give away the results of the ppvs. They like to be surprised by the results when they buy the DVDs a month later. So when WWE gives away the winners on the cover of these DVDs it just kills any enjoyment these fans have of watching it.

        Also Santa Claus is real.

  26. Joe Israel says:

Agreeing with electrifyingstun, I really wanted it to be from right after he won. Such a great face.

  27. Aww. It would’ve been better if they featured the other face he made right when he won. That face was gold. But in all seriousness, not digging the cover,

  28. nightmare says:

Wow just another stupid Cena Cover I mean come .The match of the Night had to be Punk and Bryan with AJ as special Ref .

I can’t stand Cena I don’t know why people think he so great and popular I mean sure he’s a great wrestlers but dam is he way overrated .

The PPv was ok but it need more matches than 4 and yes I know there were more but I don’t count that garbage as real matches .

  29. Chris says:

    Yuck! That cover is awful!!

  30. Bill says:

No room for Dolph on the cover? What about Punk or Sheamus? I’m a Cena fan but this is just silly
