Like with last year’s UK stadium show Clash at the Castle, WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has learned that the Money in the Bank 2023 event, to be held in London for the first time, will be released on Blu-ray!
Once again this is noteworthy because it adds an ‘extra’ Blu-ray to the UK schedule, normally reserved only for the biggest PLEs WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.
Fans in the US will get Money in the Bank 2023 on DVD Tuesday August 1st, following to fans in the UK on both DVD and Blu-ray formats Monday August 21st.
Speaking of MITB and the upcoming UK show, a new “Best of Money in the Bank” DVD officially released to fans in the region earlier this week, on-brand as we approach the PLE.

WrestlingDVDNetwork.com can now reveal a similar DVD is on the way in the UK market, this time with a SummerSlam theme. “Best of SummerSlam Classics”, also inspired by a recent collection on the Network, will be coming to Home Video on Monday July 24th, the week before this year’s SummerSlam PLE.
We’ve updated our WWE DVD Release Dates page with all of this information, plus newly-revealed release dates for SummerSlam 2023 on DVD where you are.
Backlash 2023 is the latest WWE DVD available to buy in the United States; it officially hit stores this past Tuesday!
Below are a few first look photos kindly sent in by WDN reader Makel Collins.
No extras to be found on the single-disc Backlash DVD, however a Rey Mysterio sticker is included inside the packaging of the US version.
That packaging turned out to be the standard black case, by the way, despite earlier cover shots suggesting a clear case might have been in the works.
We recently unveiled the cover artwork WWE has planned for Night of Champions 2023, which is the next WWE DVD scheduled to hit US stores.
That design will be sticking — check out two new pack shots for Night of Champions below. These have the spine on show (which will spotlight Bianca Belair, Asuka, Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch) and the back cover artwork is available now too.
NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS 2023 |
For the first time ever in WWE Night of Champions history, a Triple Main Event headlines WWE’s most golden night of the year.
In a rematch from their physical encounter at Backlash, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes goes head-to-head with “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns looks to add more gold to his collection by teaming up with Solo Sikoa to challenge Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for their titles.
In the World Heavyweight Championship Title Tournament finals, Seth “Freakin” Rollins clashes against AJ Styles to crown a new champion. In a never-before-seen dream match, Becky Lynch battles Trish Stratus. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair defends her championship against Asuka. Plus, more!
The stakes have never been higher at WWE Night of Champions!
At this point people are probably better off going on ebay or etsy and getting boot legs of wrestling physical media content.
Either WWE is ”running out of ideas” (aka laziness) for blu ray/dvd content or just want keep all the good stuff on the Network/The PEEcock (which it is decent strategy).
I want to meet the person whoever (could be Vince or someone from WWE Home Video higher up) is in charge to making calls on what content is getting released in US. I want give a piece of my mind.
Oh great. More previously released shite which is abundantly available already. There’s really nothing to collect anymore is there? 🙁
WWE should do more Unreleased Match DVD sets.
Not going to happen as that requires effort from WWE as they know they can just put out previously released crap already available, slap on a new cover with a coloured case and some stickers inside and people will still buy it – easy money for them. WWE should just let DVDs die, clearly they are only going to put out the same old stuff over and over again already available.
I don’t need the best of money in the bank. With the exception of the newest one about to be shown on pay per view, i have every money in the bank pay per view on d.v.d.
