WWE NXT DVD in the works for 2016?

Here at WrestlingDVDNetwork.com we have heard rumblings that WWE are working on an NXT DVD set for release in the first quarter of 2016!

At the moment we don’t have much information about the format of this set. It could be a simple match compilation, a collection of mini-profiles and matches or maybe even an extended version of the upcoming WWE 24 episode.

WWE NXT DVD 2016 - Tyler Breeze

You may recall as well that earlier this year a match between Adrian Neville and Cesaro was taped at the NXT live event in Columbus, OH as part of the “Arnold Sports Festival”. At the time it was reported that according to the run-sheet for the event that the match was taped for DVD. Could this match show up on the DVD?

NXT DVDs have been stalwarts of the WWE DVD surveys in the past couple of years, that coupled with the success of the brand, the huge Brooklyn show and now the UK tour – 2016 looks be the time for NXT to move in on the home video market as well! — Special thanks to Hasan Mulla for his assistance here.

im waiting for wrestlemania32 on the 3 discdvd will come in may 2016

  2. Lemo says:

2016 is too far, i can’t wait for NXT blu ray.

  3. attitude.era.4life says:

well.. one thing’s certain for this release: no matter how it will end up, a certain Miss Schreiber, aka “Mrs” Rollins, is not on it! -lol-

    • Mark D says:

Probably because Zahra hasn’t wrestled on the NXT show.

      • attitude.era.4life says:

…but she could have, from now on to the perhaps upcomming release of this in 2016…

but, likely not gonna happen.. yep, that’s what’s happen when you have your social life out in the full open and not having a distance between private and work. Guess, it is tough for many to keep that distance.

        • LP1 says:

@attitude, I don’t understand what the point is you’re trying to make at all. Zahra worked all the NXT house shows over the weekend. She’s now playing the role of Solomon Crowe’s sister/manager. You make it sound like she’s in trouble for something. If you’re talking about the swastika picture, there’s no heat on her for that, from what I heard. And if you’re talking about the nude picture of her from last year, she had nothing to do with that. Somebody else posted it. Unless you’re talking about something else.

          • attitude.era.4life says:

yeah.. guess, it’s all a misunderstanding, like always.. 😉

            • LP1 says:

It looks like she was fired this morning. WWE sent out a press release saying she was terminated as soon as they found out about the swastika post. Now that’s funny to me because that means they didn’t find out about it until this morning. That picture has been floating around online since Thursday I believe. Good to see they’re right on top of things.

              • attitude.era.4life says:

it’s part of a story line for angle on Total Divas.. or another crappy “reality”-tv show -lol-

I wish WWE would stick to what they always been best at: !wrestling!-entertainment and nothing else!

                • LP1 says:

I agree. I just find it funny that they would fire her yesterday after those pictures were online since 2012. They do background checks on everyone before they hire them. So you can’t tell me they didn’t know about them before signing her. That’s why I thought there was no heat on her. They only fired her once people started talking about it online last week and it became a hot topic.

  4. AC says:

I’d like it to be stuff that isn’t available on the network.

  5. RK Morton says:

The NXT release may very well end up being the WWE 24 episode, but I really hope it turns out to be a match comp. If DVD sales are good enough, we may see some of those NXT specials released as well, though they may or may not be made available in the US.

  6. RCS1988 says:

I voted match compilation, because there were some interesting matches fro the 2012 & 2013 episodes. I wouldn’t include anything from the 2010 to 6/13/12 episodes, since those were a different format.

  7. Robin says:

WWE needs to bring the specials out on DVD, blu, and digital platforms like iTunes and XBox video! Money is being left on the table, and it never hurts to show off the next generation of WWE stars.

  8. Mason says:

Or make it like a 5 disc set with every takeover show

  9. ALK says:

Best of NXT Vol 1, and watch the money in sales and Network subs boost a LOT.

  10. LP1 says:

I voted for “something else”. I’d love to see a box set of all 7 Network specials.
