  1. RCS1988 says:

I agree with you that Owen vs. Sabu should be on there, but not as a Blu-ray exclusive. Other matches that should be on there should be Bret & Owen vs. Money INC from Fresno Challenge taping 1/26/93 and Owen vs. Kurt Angle from May 10, 1999 his last singles win EVER.

    • John says:

I would be surprised if Owen vs Kurt match is not on the set since it is his last match

      • LP1 says:

John, the match with Angle from May 10, 1999 wasn’t Owen’s last match. It was just a dark match he did while Angle was still in training before he debuted later that year. Owen’s official last match was on May 22, 1999, the night before he passed away. Owen & Jeff Jarrett beat Edge & Christian at a house show in Chicago that night.

If any match should be on this blu-ray release it should be his actual last televised match, which was from the May 17, 1999 Raw. It was Blue Blazer & Jarrett vs The Godfather & Val Venis. If for no other reason than just posterity.

  2. Steve Cantrell says:

Day one, must buy. Probably the most anticipated DVD in a decade. Owen was my first heel I cheered, can’t wait for this one,

  3. attitude.era.4life says:

while the subject of course is very emotional loaded and difficult, for historical purpose it could have been nice to have the whole RAW tribute show included, like the extra disc that was included on Eddie’s Viva la Raza set having the RAW and Smackdown show.

But, like I stated, it is a very delicate and emotional loaded subject, so guess the inclusion of the Superstars paying him respect that night is more than what could be expected.

  4. Andy R says:

Wow! This set seems to be getting better and better every day. It is definitely a must have! All I would like to see now on this DVD is the Street Fight from Stampede Wrestling with Owen vs Dynamite Kid in 1989.. Owen vs Ultimo Dragon from Japan in 1992 that I recently discovered on YouTube….Bulldog vs Owen from RAW in their Classic King of the Ring Qualifying Match in June 1995.. Owen vs HHH from Unforgiven 98… And Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett winning the Tag Titles from Boss Man & Ken Shamrock in Janm. Of 98 on RAW… And the Road Warriors vs Bulldog & Owen from In Your House in April 97…. Then it would feel like they gave us what we wanted. Great serset so far though!

  5. Stephen says:

@Jayke1981 and @Attitude.Era.4Life the match you guys are thinking of is the Lion’s Den match, the Dungeon match was the one in the basement of the Hart family home AKA the infamous Dungeon that the Hart brothers, Jericho, Tyson Kidd and others trained in

  6. Jayke1981 says:

I’m glad they kept Jeff’s in too – I wonder is Hell really freezing over at Titan Towers? Cos I think with Jeff’s tribute included – there might well be a little interview with JJ too? I hope so.

  7. Jayke1981 says:

The Dungeon match – that’s the one in the backstage mini Octagon – right? Along with all those tributes – This looks to be the best boxset ever! I cannot wait! Fantastic!

  8. attitude.era.4life says:

One of my favorite matches from ’98: the Dungeon match against Shamrock.. hard hitting spots like hell! And Dan “The Beast” Severn as special ref..tough SOB! 😉

  9. John says:

And Bret thinks the set is going to suck? I think Bret is going to be pleased with Owen’s set when he sees it

Owen’s set has to be the best release this year and I am so glad that WWE is giving Owen the respect he deserves!

    • Andy White says:

He said there’s no pics from Owens childhood or from Stampede Wrestling will be shown on dvd as well as the questions he felt they asked for the doco that were half assed. But he also did say he hoped the final product will be better though.

    • jordan says:

too many jobber matches and not enough rare matches.

      • John says:

Oh please! There is plenty of rare matches!

        • Jordan says:

Oh really? since when are jobber matches considered rare matches? I wanna see his Japan matches, stampede matches, match with Sabu. That’s rare!!!

          • John says:

            You got a stampede match

            North American Heavyweight Championship Match
            Owen Hart vs. Makhin Singh
            Stampede Wrestling • May 1988

I doubt matches in Japan will happen although I like to see it and maybe they will have a match with Sabu as a Blu-Ray exclusive

  10. Tommy D says:

Some rare matches they are releasing. Best set in a LONG TIME. Only thing that could make it better is his match with Sabu.

  11. me says:

Oh wow didn’t expect the Raw is Owen things. More matches than I thought too. Much more content than I was anticipating.

  12. Lemo says:

More great additions ! I always loved the match against. This is shaping to be one of the best wrestling sets of all time.
