Plans for yet another 2016 WWE DVD are now known – and this one’s extreme!
According to Joel Gertner, former ECW announcer and manager, an “ECW Craziest Moments” themed set is in the works. Gertner and other ECW alumni including Tazz and Tommy Dreamer have been interviewed by the company for use in multiple Home Video projects like this one.
All signs point to the new DVD/Blu-ray being “OMG! Vol. 3 – ECW’s Top 50 Craziest Moments”, an idea featured in our very own Fantasy Concept last year (the artwork for which is shown above) and was revealed to be officially under consideration in a WWE DVD Survey this year.
OMG! ECW’s Top 50 Craziest Moments
OMG! It’s back and this time with by far the craziest moments to date, as ECW rears its head on this series.
ECW was extreme and there is no shortage of OMG moments throughout its history. Hear exclusive interviews from ECW legends as they tell stories behind some of the craziest moments in ECW history!

I’m saying a Booker T and WCW Halloween Havoc Compilation.
I say Superstar will be Kane. They haven’t had a Kane DVD yet, at least I don’t remember and with his career winding down, I can them honoring him with a look at his entire career, which if you count his days as Isaac Yankem & Diesel has spanned 20 years in WWE. The Feature will be a Diva’s DVD.
Yeah they had one Kane dvd back in 2006 called the twisted and disturbed life of Kane
and there was another on with the Undertaker called the brothers of distruction
that came out last year.
And the little bonus Kane: Journey to Hell one.
Oh. I forgot about them. But those were in character. They should do one about Glen Jacobs and show his whole history in the company, including matches as Isaac Yankem & Diesel II.
I have to ask if wrestlingdvdnews and WWE “partner up” at all. I assume at the very least WWE views this site to see what fans are interested in. This site had a fantasy concept entered on ECW’s Craziest Moments and I believe they had two features, one on Owen Hart, another on Sting and I’m sure the Sting edition had a documentary and now WWE’s releasing docs on Sting and Owen and an OMG set on ECW. Hence why I ask.
A bit stupid that WWEDVD.CO.UK UK are having a new sale, when they haven’t shipped all order from their blu-ray sale. I ordered 9 days ago, my order still haven’t shipped. 🙁
Hi Mark,
All orders from the sale have shipped, maybe just a error in updating your account, please send me the name ordered under and order ref to info@wwedvd.co.uk and will deal with this straight away
Either a DVD focusing on Divas or a DVD focusing on Bruno Sanmartino
Feature: Divas — this was i
On the fan council survey and they will hopefully produce one with all the attention on the divas revolution.
Superstar: Shane McMahon
This was on*
I’m calling that the front cover will be Vince winning the ECW Title; cos you know, WWE won the Monday Night War… In case you forgot.
Why couldn’t they just stick with uniform design and use the word “Incidents” for the title like the last 2 volumes?
feature is probably going to be best of wcw ppv vol 2.
Is there a reason why so many people are saying it’s going to be a Shane McMahon set? It just seems so random. Unless I missed something.
One of the recent surveys had a Shane O’Mac match comp – that’ll probably be why peeps have it in their mind.
Psyched once again but for the ECW Top 50, except the content is likely going to be edited. I got my other ECW dvds to watch. The Dudley Boyz set is good too, depends on what’s on it for me to consider the buy. The Superstar set is probably a Best of Shane McMahon. The Feature set is probably for the WWE Divas – either for The Best of Total Divas set or a Divas Match Compilation.
Does anyone happen to know if this ECW set will include moments from after their bankruptcy (a la the invasion angle, the One Night Stand PPVs, or the WWE’s version of ECW)?
it’s still on a rumor level..nothing certain.. I really do not hope that they put on something from 2007 and forward..Vince winning the ECW championship is absolutely NOT an OMG moment…not even a garbage OMG moment that’s worthy on a top 50 list for sure.
I think this ECW set would be better if it was an uncut TV-MA release. Show the REAL crazy and shocking moments and not the edited versions.
Absolutely agree with you..it deserves to be a concept similar to WWE’s 3 first sets on ECW. Unfortunately it’s not year 2004-2007, so at best we’re gonna get the PG-14 like the 3 volumes of Unreleased, is my guess.
Maybe a Shane McMahon set?!
My guess for the two new titles to be released would be The History of the U.S.Championship since there should be plenty of footage from the NWA/WCW era as well as WWE footage. With his street fight and ladder match moments I feel like a Shane McMahon set gets released in the near future.
Feature set: “Falls count anywhere…, vol. 2”, or “The Iron Man match: Complete anthology”.
Superstar set: “Shane O’Mac”, or “Randy Orton”.
I guess a new Brock Lesnar set or a new Attitude Era set.
My guess is a Shane O Mac set.
would be one of my all time favorite sets along with vol. 1 and 2., especially if WWE would find inspiration in Mark’s fantastic Fantasy concept.
I only missed the 3 on 3 intergender match from One nigh stand 2006 on that list: Funk “loosing” his one eye is just one of extreme hardcore spots in that awesome match. Also, the crowd reaction that whole night was freaking crazy..don’t think Cena ever gotten that much hate before or after.
