We can now reveal the last two major WWE DVD and Blu-ray releases to close out 2012…

WWE Raw 1000

Expected in December following the nWo and Attitude Era sets a month earlier, WWE will be releasing a “Raw 1000” themed DVD. This one is slated to include moments from the recent 1000th episode (if not the entire episode), in addition to a look back at highlights from the overall history of Monday Night Raw. All of that will make up a multi-disc DVD and Blu-ray.

Following the usual trend, “Best PPV Matches of 2012” is also on the schedule for release before the new year. This title is also confirmed for Blu-ray.

Also, Survivor Series 2012 will be on on Blu-ray disc format worldwide. You may recall last year’s event headlined by The Rock’s return to the ring only made it to Blu-ray in Europe.

Survivor Series this year will be on blu ray worldwide, WWE got it right this time

Ahaha.. It’s gonna be a hell of a Christmas this year :p.. I mean The Attitude Era, N.W.O., Raw 1000th and some Tagged Classics release.. Can’t wait!! 😛

  4. Simon says:

Also hoping for the Diesel, Shawn Michaels & Undertaker vs. Yokozuna, British Bulldog & Owen Hart match from September 1995. Never ever seen it, and the star-power warrants its inclusion on some kinda set, surely.

    • Lemo says:

That was definitely one hell of a match i remember clearly. I don’t care what people say about 1995 but Raw 1995 was one of the best years ever, so many great matches & moments

  5. Lemo says:

Hopefully this set will finally make my dream to have Bret vs Hakushi Raw match on dvd come true.

  6. Scott says:

Just saw the part about Survivor Series on Blu Ray. Thats pretty cool, just got my tickets for that as well.

  7. Scott says:

I was in attendance at Raw 1000. And no matter how good or bad the show may have come off on TV, it was an amazing experience live.

  8. Mark Markson says:

If the Raw set includes matches that aren’t available on other DVD sets, this might be interesting. Matches beside the ones from the 1000th Raw.

  9. nightmare says:

I thought the 1000 Raw was beyond boring the Dx thing was so tame and stupid and the rest of the show well I dvd-r it and wish I didn’t .PASS

  10. SRB says:

Not a bad idea. WWE seemed very, very proud of their 1000th Raw, as they should be. I know a lot went into the show and it delivered very well. Excited for this release

  11. LP1 says:

The timing of the Raw 1000 release(December) makes me think this will be a 20th Anniversary DVD set. Raw turns 20 in January so I’m guessing this will be a multi-disc set with possibly the full Raw 1000 episode on one of those discs.

I hope WWE works on RAW: Best of Seasons 3 & 4 or maybe just finally release the Shawn Michaels vs, Max Moon from the first episode of Monday Night RAW in 1993.

    • Dave says:

Totally agree…i wish WWE would continue with the Best of RAW seasons. 1 & 2 had amazing amount of footage. I didn’t think RAW was that great in 95 and about the first half of 96, but really started to pick up around fall of 96 with the rise of Austin and the start of the Attitude era. But still would be great to own.

      • TBG says:

You can put so many hours per Blu-Ray that they really should look to put out complete season sets. Almost every other show in TV history seems to have done it and WWE seems so proud of Raw promoting it as the longest-running, so you’d think this would fit into their marketing plan.

  14. ChadWWE says:

I’ve made a damn nice 2-disc set of my own. Disc 1 is the moments of Raw past they played leading up to it, and some key moments of Raw/Smackdown the week before. Disc 2 is Raw 1000. They need to start there, and hopefully add some really nice extras. A documentary would be nice, or just a 5-10 minute interview each with a few of the side-stars (announcers and such) that can give backstage stories we might not have heard before.

Gonna be an expensive Xmas, not that I’m complaing. Excited for these releases!

  16. Scsa says:

1000 RAW sounds okay. Though I just wanna c what they’ve announced as ‘in addition to a look back at highlights from the overall history of Monday Night Raw’. Also when will the content for the ATTITUDE ERA / nWo BLU-RAY’s become available?!?

  17. Steve G says:

It’s a good idead to release the 1000 episode of Raw but I hope it is then not included on the Best of Raw 2012. We don’t need repeats of things from this year that is for sure.

  18. Bowers says:

I look forward to these releases. I’m glad theyre releasing the survivor series on blu. Now if only they would finish the survivor series boxsets

  19. Daniel says:

As long as they include Punk vs Ziggler, Daniel bryan vs Sheamus and punk vs Bryan from money in the bank 2012 I dont care. Raw I will think about lol.

  20. mommy says:

i just hope they make this a part 2 follow up to raw 15th anniversary dvd, that dvd was 3 disk and had many moments on that, why copy that when they can include all the moments that missed

  21. Anonymous says:

As long as the entire 1000th episode is on it, I’ll be happy

  22. Bad Booking says:

WWE needs to re-package that RAW set as a Best Of: 20th Anniversary Collection. Darn does time go quick!
