More than 15 new WWE DVD & Blu-ray concepts revealed!
WWE has reportedly issued a new Fan Council survey gauging interest in a selection of DVD concepts. Some of the projects include new documentary features on the Divas, Lex Luger, Bruno Sammartino, The Dudley Boyz and perhaps most surprisingly, Eric Bischoff.
The survey also includes a countdown of ECW OMG! Moments, another title that expands upon a WWE Network special and the resurrection of the “Greatest Rivalries” series.
These are WWE’s potential plans for 2016 as we can confirm none of the reveals are set for release this year, as of now. Here’s a full rundown of the titles from the survey…

We’d like to hear which of the concepts excite you. Take our poll and leave a comment!

They need a lex luger DVD for sure!!!! He is a true legend and icon and finally deserves his just due before everyone forgets about him as the wwe universe would want.
They really need bring out new John Cena Doc it’s been a while since last one was released
Really hoping WWE puts out a career dvd set on Bruno Sammartino. Even if they produced a limited number of copies and sold only online at Amazon and WWE shop I think there are enough older fans to buy it.
How about
Demolition
Rick Rude
The Honky Tonk Man
Sensational Sherri
and of course Jessie Ventura
I’d like to see a Mankind/Undertaker rivalry blu ray & a Rock/Steve Austin rivaly blue ray or a Rock/Triple H blu ray.
Lots of not so stellar compilation ideas. I voted for Lex Luger and Tommy Dreamer/Raven. No one in WWE will read this, but here’s my list of DVD suggestions:
Best of Demolition
Best of WCW PPV Volume 2
The Jim Crockett, Sr. Memorial Cup Anthology
The Best of Halloween Havoc
Best of Lex Luger
Best of Vader
Best of Arn Anderson
The Best of the Four Horsemen: The Original Four Horsemen (1986–1987)
The Best of the Four Horsemen: Lex Luger and Barry Windham (1987–1989)
The Best of the Four Horsemen: Reformation; Sting and Sid Vicious (1989–1991)
The Best of the Four Horsemen: Three Horsemen (1993)
The Best of the Four Horsemen: Reformation and Feud with the nWo (1995–1997)
The Best of the Four Horsemen: The Final Incarnation (1998–1999)
Greatest Rivalries: Dusty Rhodes/Ric Flair
The Best of The Midnight Express
The Best of the AWA SuperCards (SuperClash, Rage in a Cage, Brawl in St. Paul, WrestleRock, etc.)
Best of Larry Zbyszko
Best of Eddie Gilbert
Best of the UWF
Best of The Fabulous Freebirds
Best of Terry Funk
Best of Kevin Sullivan
Horsemen fan? 😉
Dude I would totally buy everyone of these!!!
I’m not really interested in any of those possible upcoming titles. I have ideas for other videos
that I would like to see released and I hope that WWE is listening or going to read this website because I really want to see these become released. I would like to see a documentary/best of on the following superstars: Arn Anderson, who is one of my favorite competitors of all time, Owen Hart, Rick Rude, and Demolition. The WWE should also have in depth interviews with Arn and Ax and Smash and feature interviews with their friends and enemies and document their greatest rivalries. They obviously can’t have interviews with Owen or Rude. Also, I would like to see Arn, Owen, Rude, and especially Demolition inducted into the WWE hall of fame. I know, Arn was inducted with the Horsemen, but I would like to see him inducted individually as a singles competitor. Flair was inducted twice, I’d like to see Arn inducted as a singles. I really hope that WWE is watching, listening, or reading this website.
Teddy you know that ain’t gonna happen…would be nice to get a best of match compilation…hard knocks is the best we will ever get from the wwe…
How about a Best Of set on Chris Benoit?
I would like to see a best of compilation on Benoit, also. That’s another one that I feel should be inducted into the hall of fame. I’m pretty positive that WWE is never going to induct him, but I feel he deserves to be in. I’m sure I’m going to get a lot of people reading this upset, but I feel that Benoit deserves to be inducted. After all the accomplishments he’s had in the business he should be inducted.
• I would love to see an extended doco on Booker T with a set of greatest matches. Also wouldn’t mind seeing a Best of 1996.
• wouldn’t mind seeing the return of the Greatest Rivalries series.
I think there’s enough dvds/blurays on Hogan and Austin. WWE needs to stop milking them.
Tommy dreamer vs raven is in the lead ? seriously ???? I can’t vote either but I would love to see the Booker t documentary and the divas DVD .We haven’t had a diva DVD in a long time
Some unexpected titles in this list – a nice surprise. Was kinda hoping for an Attitude Era Vol 3.
Best of 1996 seems very random.
I can’t vote for some reason, but I’d vote for the Dudley’s biography and ECW’s top 50 OMG moments
Lex Luger? are you yanking me. GIVE ME A 3 DISC SET WIT DOC FOR ANDRE THE GIANT ALREADY!!!!!
I am not a fan of DVD’s that are just docs along with “Best Of”. IMO “best Of” done by any entertainment company shows how little they think of the fans and shows that particular company is just lazy. As far as “Greatest Rivalries” its not a bad concept but shouldn’t we have a anthology set of RAW vs Nitro. How cool would that be when you show a RAW show followed by a Nitro show that was aired on the same night. You can release a new volume every 3-6 months and have 8-10 episodes for each volume. Also for a Rivalry shouldn’t we have a combo set of Flair vs Rhodes/Steamboat or even Flair vs Sting
Half of these sound like potential Network specials. Half of them I hope are.
Myself, I voted for Lex Luger & Booker T, been waiting a LONG time for both & I hope they finally happen because both are well deserved, also wouldn’t mind having one on Bishoff as well….Hogan has already had a documentary, it’s on the “Hulk Still Rules” dvd from 2002 & I don’t see much of anything that would be on another that wasn’t on the first unless they cover his return after TNA….We got a “best of” collection so now how about another Sting dvd with a documentary?? I noticed that wasn’t even an option.
Many rivalries should come before that Vince/Bischoff one as their rivalry wasn’t even on-screen really. That’s the same reason I don’t want a Kliq DVD – they weren’t even a TV faction. I don’t like the Tribute to the Troops idea as I don’t think WWE should be making money off that concept really.
Re: the ‘Best of 1996’ DVD, apart from the moments they mentioned, I don’t think anybody really thinks it was one of the “greatest years in sports entertainment” – it’s usually considered one of the worst along with 1995 and 1997!
Most of the other ideas are fine (except maybe that boring JBL one).
Why would anyone consider 1997 a bad year? It had the start of the Attitude Era, the formation of DX, the Montreal screwjob, the evolution of Mr. McMahon, the first ever Hell in a Cell match, the USA/Canada feud, the Austin/Hart feud… and that’s just one promotion. How anyone would consider that on par with 1995 is somewhat puzzling.
Voted for The Best of 1996. That was the year I first became a fan, and would love to have an entire set devoted to it.
That said, if it ends up featuring the Iron Man Match, The Rock’s Survivor Series debut etc., then I’ll give it a miss. Some TV matches would be good, as there’s not a huge amount out there on DVD (compared to 1998, for instance).
When I skimmed through the titles, I thought one of the titles was One Man Gang. 🙂 Wouldn’t mind a 3 disc set on him, although I doubt it would sell that many copies, lol.
Shocked Booker isn’t getting more love. That jumps off the page to me. Been waiting years for 3 discer on the Book-man!
Hulk deserves a full on documentary, After the Anthology and Unreleased boxsets, not entirely sure what matches could be included. The Dudleys? Well, that’s a given They are the most decorated tag team in history!
Some inclusions aren’t warranted in my opinion. Bischoff vs McMahon? I can only assume that would focus on Eric’s WWE career – because with the Monday Night Wars series and previous dvd, I think we know a fair amount about it – don’t we?
As for Roman Reigns – Hell to the no. wait a few more years first.
History of The Divas would be really fascinating after all – we have never had a 3 disc boxset on one Diva – and seeing as prior to recently, WWE never really cared much about the Divas division, its time to #GiveDivasAChance! I hope to see a great selection of matches and interviews/stories on the evolution of the Diva.
Tribute to the Troops I think only requires a WWE Network documentary. We all know JBL came up with the concept we all know that the Superstars did their bests to be available for the Tribute, that they visit all soldiers in hospital or camps Matches were never taken seriously as it was all about entertaining the soldiers!
Sheamus’s DVD could actually be very interesting!
Well we have found possibly the worst dvd of all time if it was to be released. ”The Sheamus Experience”
Who would want that?
Sammartino and Hogan of course! About damn time.
I went with Raven/Dreamer and 1996
I’d also like DVD/Blurays on: Rick Rude, Vader, Al Snow and SMW.
Based on the description it sounds like Hogan is the next one to get a bronze statue to go in the Hall Of Fame room at Axxess next year. The Andre, Bruno and Warrior statues all look amazing in person. I’m all for them adding a new statue every year.
My favorite choices are –
Divas
Greatest Rivalries: Eric Bischoff vs. Vince McMahon
JBL: How to Become a Self-Made Millionaire
One Man Show: Stone Cold
The Booker T Biography
Eric Bischoff documentary
Lex Luger
Greatest Rivalries: Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven
The Dudley Boyz
Only Two! How about our top 4…. OMG! ECW’s Top 50 Craziest Moments, Dudley Boyz biography, Greatest Rivalries: Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven, The Best of 1996. I can live without a Lex Luger DVD. I would be excited with all but a few of these titles. Lets hope most of these actually come to be.
I voted for the Divas & Lex Luger!
I’m also really excited about possible Hulk Hogan (as long as it’s all unreleased matches) & Eric Bischoff sets.
The greatest rivalries:Eric Bischoff VS Vince McMahon could be cool given the right match selection but I really have a hard time believing that Eric will be treated with much respect (I have the same fears for the Bischoff documentary)
Personally, 1997 would be a far better year to cover across the 3 companies. You got the height of the nWo with the build to Starrcade, the birth of the Attitude era with the US vs Canada feud, ECW with their first PPV year. Much more content than 1996 in my opinion.
I went with the McMahon / Bischoff and Raven / Dreamer rivalries, even though I’ll be surprised if the first one is not filled with tons of revisionist history. A Bruno documentary would be good but I don’t know what kind of matches would be on there. The rest of th list is kinda of “meh”. You just know the documentaries like the Dudleys of Booker will skip the TNA era.
I voted for Booker T, but it doesn’t look like he’s getting a lot of love here.
I would love a Rick Rude BluRay/DVD.
There you go, Rick Rude is past due for a DVD.
absolutely OMG vol. 3.. rest sounds more to be 30 minutes to 1 hour network shows in my mind.. though, I would not mind a JBL release, but not the kind that is listed here.
The Hogan release, I doubt there is anything interesting new things to be covered, and match selections would be heavily repeats.
I really would have loved a Falls count anywhere… vol. 2 and a greatest WCW ppv matches vol. 2 releases to be on that list.
Also, Bischoff vs. McMahon should be a part of a McMahon overview release, which also could include complete McMahon’s matches, especially Shane’s ultimate matches, very much with special commentaries by Shane and Vince and others.
I am in agreement with a new Falls count anywhere… vol. 2 and a greatest WCW ppv matches vol. 2 releases. I thought they would have put out a In Your House Vol. 2 by now. That sold well didn’t it?
Yep, we definitely need the 50th edition of Hulk Hogan’s hulkamania on DVD.
yeah.. cos we really need hear the TRUTH bout the Bubba the Love Sponge incident, the Hogan knows best show’s impact on todays television, and of course the Wrestlemania 3 match in Pontiac Dome.. no, wait, that’s Silver Dome, Brother!
I would like to see Lex Luger and Bruno get a DVD/BRD set.
Bruno, Hogan, & Luger would be good if they include never before released matches. I’d like to see a NWA/WCW unreleased collection featuring dark matches from TV tapings, and of course dark matches from WWF TV taping in the 80’s and early 90’s.
